I was referred to Tom's Auto since moving to Madison around 3 years ago and have been coming here ever since. They are always kind and take very good care of my car and me. Since I am mechanically compromised I rely on mechanics to keep me safe on the road I appreciate this. They are warm and welcoming and never suggest anything I don't need even if I think I need it. I also receive a print out of the status of my auto and what I may need in the future. I heartily recommend them. In addition the shop and waiting area is clean and comfortable with a lovely restroom the likes of which I have seen only in high quality hair salons. On the whole, you and your car will be very well cared for.

Tom s Auto Center is #1 in everything having to do with keeping our vehicle s up to date. He s genuinely passionate about taking care of all customers who turn here for honesty, and integrity. I view taking care of my vehicle like going to the doctor or dentist for hopefully preventative upkeep. A car is no different. We must budget for whatever our vehicle needs to stay healthy. It s common sense. Get your transmission fluid changed regularly and anything else needed Before you have an expensive problem.I highly recommend Tom s Auto Center. My car was having issues mid-day on the interstate and I was close to the Monona Drive/Stoughton Road exit. I have been to Tom's before and knew that they had loaner cars since I didn't have an appointment. I dropped it off and got a FREE loaner car to use until my car was fixed. It took a few days to get on their schedule, get the parts in and repair it. The loaner car was great and very handy when I really needed it. Service is always great and the inside of the building is always clean!

Everyone I interacted with here was so kind! Larry was the tech I worked with and he was very knowledgeable, professional and kind. They needed to keep my car through the weekend and let me use a loaner car while mine was being repaired at his cost! This is my new go-to mechanic!

We ve been taking our cars here since moving to the area about a year ago.They are always polite, helpful and make time to get you in quickly for urgent issues.The last time I had my car in it needed a replacement part on national back order. Larry went out of his way to search across the country for a suitable parts rather than wait the 4 months it would take for Honda to fill the order. We got our car back and running smoothly in two weeks.I fully recommend bringing your cars here and will continue to use them for ours.

I will never take my vehicles anywhere else. Everyone here is honest, friendly, works quickly, and they seem to always have a loaner available when needed. I called after work on a Friday with engine trouble and Cody even said he's stay late to make sure that I could drop my car off a little past closing time to make sure I had a reliable loaner for the weekend. They are the best ever.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better place to bring your automobile for maintenance and repair. From the service team that answers the phones to the mechanics that work on your car, the whole team is top notch! I've had a few unique issues with my car that I could not get resolved on my own. Tom's patience at diagnosing the issues and resolving the problems was impressive. Honesty, great work, and a fair price are hard to find these days. I'm 66 and have worked with quite a few shops over the years. I've lived in McFarland for 20 years and relied on Tom's for that entire time.I've never been more satisfied with a shop. The team at Tom's is consistently great. The front desk is always great to work with and I've had nothing but top notch work done by the mechanics, from fixing a flat to brake work to engine work.I highly recommend Tom's.

Great experience. They took the time to answer my questions as I compared tires. Their final price for the entire package (tires, installation, disposal, warranty) was $100 less than Costco. I received a loaner car for the day and they texted me when the work was done.

So friendly and professional! I highly recommend them! My car is riding so much better. I was lucky that they had a loaner car available for me to use while mine was being fixed. Certified mechanics who know their stuff and take the time to explain what's going on. Absolutely the best team to have work on your car. They were very nice, explained everything that needed to get fixed and why, were very open about how long it would take and cost from the start. They saved me from wasting my time and money going to Midas. Highly recommend :)

We have used Tom s Auto Center for years for all of our automotive needs. Recently my daughter s 2009 Honda Accord experienced brake trouble. We had just replaced the brakes on the vehicle 14 months ago including calipers, pads, and rotors. It turns out that one of the calipers had failed, doing some real damage in the process. Tom s Auto Center went out of their way to make this right, including covering the cost of materials and labor even though the warranty period had expired at 12 months. They very easily could have fallen back on that fact, and we would have been stuck with the bill. Hats off to Tom s Auto Center, including all of their great employees, for exhibiting good old fashion customer service!Service: Auto maintenance

Tom's was very professional from start to finish. I appreciated the emailed estimate and text message communication about the repairs. They embrace the way people communicate in the modern world, which not many mechanics do. They did prompt work for a fair price, with excellent communication. I have been taking my vehicles to Tom's for about 5 years and have always been happy with their service. But today they went way above and beyond. When I went to pick it up after hours I found that my truck had been kept inside until closing. It was still warm inside. This means a lot to me. I was expecting to sit in a cold truck for 20 minutes while it warmed up, but instead it was a comfortable wait while the engine warmed enough to drive. This is an amazingly thoughtful level of service that is rare to find these day. I really appreciate all that you guys do.

I have taken my older car to Tom's a few times. Staff has always been friendly and helpful, I've been able to get an immediate or soon appointment, and their prices are fair.

I have been using Tom's Auto for about 30 years, since Tom first opened. He did great work for a reasonable price! I left the Madison area for quite a few years, but found Tom's when I returned about 6 years ago. His shop is much larger now but he still does great work and is reasonable priced! It still feels like a family buisness, but on a larger scale. I will always recommend Tom's Auto Center!Service: Oil change

My family (my immediate and my parents) all go to Tom's for car service. They know us by name, know our cars, and are extremely accommodating and friendly. They have never had a problem with getting us a loaner care, holding on to our cars, and taking great care of them. We've been to them for simple oil changes, check engine lights going off, leaking sunroofs, and getting used cars checked out before buying them. We've gone to them for several years and will continue to for many more because of the great customer service.

Best vehicle repair experience I've ever had. During the initial inspection, the technicians take pictures of the parts in question and create a Digital Inspection document that they can text and email to you. It details the current state of the vehicle as well as the recommended repairs. Next they text/email a quote and take the time to walk through and explain the planned repairs. Throughout the process they were extremely communicative and friendly. They do a great job of making the process transparent and stress-free. Tom's is incredible. I cannot say enough great things about them but I'll try. They answered the first time I called, which alone would stand as an outstanding office staff compared to many auto shops we've dealt with before. Secondly, the staff was incredibly kind and gracious every step of the way. We worked mostly with Kerry, who is patient, a great listener and has every ounce of intention with his communication as he does with his work on vehicles. Hw sent over a full inspection report before asking for my final consent to maks repairs and it was thorough and easy to comb through for the most urgent matters. We were fully informed of realistic price quotes, the age and varying degrees of wear and tear on everything under the hood and the time it would take to make such repairs every step of the way. They indicated and properly documented both mine and my spouse on our account and all documentation and they sent appropriate reminders and confirmations. Tom, the man himself, then personally texted us after our appointment, as well! The team at this shop runs like a well oiled machine.

I needed new tires for my car. Tom was super responsive and provided me with a very competitive quote. I was able to get in quickly. They did a great job and changed my oil on the spot. Excellent people to work with. Way better than dealing with a brand name tire company. I have no reason to seek another place for tires and oil.

Worked with Cody, very professional and straight forward. Each service they suggested was independently confirmed prior to bringing my car there. No additional services suggested after inspection, no up-selling, and everything done on time at a lower price than the dealer. I have taken my car to Tom's for 7 years and have always been pleased with their thorough communication regarding my car. I know they will only do what's necessary to get my car back to its reliable self again. When I got my new car and was having the dealership handle repairs, I was let down repeatedly so finally had the car towed to Tom's. They quickly figured out the problem and the bill was quite affordable. From now on, I will always trust my car to the competent guys at Tom's.

The Staff truly cares about your wellbeing.I was very concerned about a smaller issue I was having with my van. I explained I was leaving for vacation the next day and my daughter would be driving my van while I was gone. They got me in the same day to diagnosis the problem and had it fixed the next day so I did not have to worry about the issue while on vacation. They even provided me with a loaner van so I could get everything done to be prepared to leave for vacation on time!Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

I brought a used truck I just purchased in for an oil change and 'wellness check'. It ended up having a plethora of issues. I'm very lucky that Tom was willing to work on it, as most shops probably wouldn't have.Truck had wrong engine harness, missing engine mount bolts, bell housing bolts, A/C issues and so on... After a couple appointments and parts searching, my truck is running flawless. Competent, professional service staff. Not the least expensive as compared to some independent shops but FAR BETTER than most of my dealership experiences and less expensive. I've come here for a number of years and will continue to do so as I trust Tom's to give me the straight story and fix it correctly the first time around.
