Had my vehicle in for power steering pump and rack put in. And had J&M do an alignment. They had it in and out in 2 days. Can't say enough on the Excellent job they did.

After my mechanic of 6 years retired, I found a new one! These guys are awesome. I'm on a fixed income and travel alone. They not only gave me an itemized list of things to watch on my car but also estimates for all of those future repairs. The pricing is fair and thorough. I got an oil change and a full inspection of my car and I'm impressed. It was my first visit and I HAD to give them 5 stars because they deserved it! I've got a new mechanic and highly recommend!

The question on this review asks did you use this business - the real answer is technically I didn't.... I had a flat tire on a country road and Mitch Rogers who works as a mechanic at Hammond Auto was driving by and stopped to see if I needed help. It was late Sunday afternoon and although I had cell service I could not get an answer at any of the phone numbers I tried. He went back to his house to get his tools and came to my aid - the outstanding kind of service that is harder to find these days. I tried to give him some kind compensation and he refused! It is good to know there are still folks who will help someone in need - Hammond is lucky to have him as their employee!Service: Tires

My alternator quit and I was stranded on I94 at 5:30 pm. Managed to get towed to Hammond's in Mauston and stayed overnight. Hammond's, though super busy, managed to replace my alternator that day and get me on my way again. Many thanks to Eric and his team for their great emergency service!!! Eric's wonderful wife even gave me a ride from my hotel to come and pick up my car when it was ready! They truly went above and beyond..thanks again!!!

Wow, what service! Our car died at the Speedway after we stopped for gas while traveling. We called Hammond, and he came over TO THE GAS STATION in just minutes to determine the problem. He got it started with a charger so that we could drive over to his place to get a new battery. Absolutely outstanding service!

Eric and his team provided excellent service. We were traveling cross-country and ran into some car trouble. They took us in last minute and got us back on the road quickly. Very reasonable and knowledgeable! Highly recommend!

Had a surprise breakdown and dropped my car off after hours. They made a great much appreciated effort to do the repairs and get me my car as soon as they could. Good work and friendly atmosphere and a very honest and reasonable repair cost. I highly recommend them!!

While driving from Chicago home to St Paul Sunday night, my serpentine belt failed. When I called Eric Monday morning, he quickly arranged for towing, did a quick assessment, and a very quick repair - all for a very reasonable price. He even offered to arrange a ride for me from the motel I d stayed at to the shop once they d finished. All in all, a great, friendly and affordable experience.

They took the time out of their busy schedules to look at my vehicle, which was towed to them due to a breakdown. They weren't able to diagnose the issue, but considering the circumstances, they didnt have a lot to go off of. Either way, they took the time to look and didn't charge us anything for their time.

We were traveling to see my son and his family. Hours away from anyone we know. Our serpentine belt broke. Started making calls. Hammond Auto Repair was recommended. We called him and he got us right in. The owner was very kind and professional. Our car was fixed in 30 minutes. Very low cost. AMAZING service!! Tire flew off on the interstate and was referred by RT Towing. Fixed my truck and had me safely on my my way within 2 hours. Price was more than reasonable for this emergency service!!! Made it the rest of my 300 mile journey safe and sound.

My alternator started going out on me hauling a load up north for work. Hammond was the first place that popped up on Google maps when I searched auto repair shops. They closed in 45 minutes. They put me on first thing in the morning, went out of their way to shuffle some things to make it work. I was out of there with in an hour. I made my drop off dead line and was charged and extremely fair price that was not jacked up based on my predicament. Awesome repair shop! Referred to all my truck driving friends and co-workers!

Heading north for a weekend full of family fun and our van started to run really rough and flashing error codes. Eric and his team were awesome in sneaking us in on a Friday afternoon and helping us trouble shoot the problem and getting us back on the road. Strongly recommend this shop, honest work and very very helpful! Owner even picked us up downtown after our lunch!

Traveling west on I90 the low tire pressure warning went off and we discovered a tire with tread separating. Found Hammond Auto online, pulled in, and the crew there took time out to quickly swap out the tire for the spare. 5-star service.

We had the power train and check engine light come on while driving home from vacation. Hauling a large load on my car trailer. Stopped for a short break. Noticed a tire threw a shoef(rubber) cords showing. Placed a call and Eric found a tire that would fit. When I arrived all mechanics were busy but Eric came out of the office and changed the tire for me. In and out in about 15 minsThank you Eric for caring and fast work.

We had a flat tire just as we were pulling on the interstate. I called the shop and told them we were coming in with s flat. They found us a tire, changed it and had us back on the road in no time! Super friendly and reasonable on price. So thankful for their help!!

Outstanding service! Was broke down on the highway and had to be towed in to Hammond's. Being far from Pennsylvania and under pressure with time made it almost impossible to make my deadline. Needed a truck rental and could only get one 30 miles away, without taxi service made that even impossible. If it wasn't for Eric, the owner, going out of his way to give me a ride, it would have been nearly inconceivable. Not only did we have great conversation, but he would not accept any retribution for his act of kindness. What? Not much of that left in our miserable world of business! So, I would like to thank Eric for his kindness and keep buying your boys chow on Friday's, they're hungry! Thanks again, John from Pennsylvania (20May16)!

On the way to my nephew's hockey tournament when I cracked a shock mount. Found Hammond via Siri and they quickly worked us in so we could get back on the road. Efficient, solid work that's reasonably priced. If I'm in the area and ever in need again, I'll definitely use this business again!

Had trouble 10 minutes up the road from Hammond auto. Called a dealer an hour away that wanted almost 100 dollars to do run a diagnostic test. Hammond took my call, answered my questions from the road, got me in as soon as I limped my car there, and did a check. No suggestion of unnecessary service and extremely friendly. If you're in the area, they are worth your patronage.

I had a BMW needing work done to the cooling system. Great work was done, kept us up to date on how things were going with it, and in the end when it turned out the head gasket was leaking, gave me a good deal for labor costs as the car will be scrapped.

Heading out to South Dakota for a week from Manitowoc, we encountered the dreaded Low Tire Pressure on our brand new vehicle. Pulled over and gave a visual. Nail right in the tread. Wife hits up Google to find Hammond Auto just 7 miles away. Eric had us in and out in :40 minutes! Every repair bay looked full, but he took great quick care of us and back on the road!
