Since moving to Marshfield in 2014, Scott at Jim's Auto has bent over backwards to help me out when needed for over 10 years. Jim's Auto is one of the most genuine auto repair shops in the area. You get pure honesty and trust when having them work on your vehicle. I hope for many more years here and honestly I wish I could rate higher.

Best machanic in the area great prices. He went above and beyond for me. Towed my vehicle and had it fixed the same day! Even though his shop closed at 3 since I lived 28 miles away he met me there at 4 after hours!

I wish there was a higher star rating to give! We were from out of town, headed out on Sunday night and discovered a leak in the brake lines; called Scott Monday morning. He not only got us in to look at it immediately, he was able to do the repair and have us on the road before noon the same day. He is definitely one of the good guys out there running a honest and reasonably priced business. HIGHLY recommended!!!!

FYI, Doesn't do windshield replacement, I called and was told this was a mistake in ad. Just want to save you and him time before calling.

Scott is the man! You want and need a good mechanic, then don't come here! Because he's an AMAZING mechanic! Personable, fair priced, and just an all-around good guy.

I dealt with Scott the owner, and he goes above and beyond for his customers. He s very honest with you about the repairs and explains things and shows you what it is that needs to be done. This is an exceptional business and works on your car as if it was their own. You can trust that they have your back and you can rest knowing you re vehicle is safe to drive in all conditions. I will recommend this shop to anyone and everyone! Scott is the most honest, trustworthy, knowledgeable and professional mechanic I ve ever met. He never does unnecessary work and never upcharges. It is little wonder his shop is filled to the brim with cars every day! The very reasonable prices speak to the owner s integrity matched only by his skill! This is the absolute best auto repair shop in WI and I d give it 5 stars plus if possible!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, A/C installation & repair

Scott is the most professional and understanding man. I have a very limited income and I was able to save $200 by purchasing the part myself. He installed it for me. All I had to pay was the labor too install. I can call anytime and he is always very busy but makes time for his customers. Works till 7 pm at night. I am so glad my friend told me to go here

My son's car needed a new starter and he commutes to college, therefore we needed the repair done fairly quick. Scott took care of it in a timely manner and a fair price. We were very satisfied with his work.

Scott at Jim's is about as honest and hardworking as you could hope your mechanic to be. I have a hard time trusting others to my needed repairs, and try to do most myself. I have no worries asking Scott for more help in the future!

I have been at Jim's Auto Repair at Marshfield for tow or three times, and I can tell you that Scott and his team are excellent to their customers. They usually take serious time to review all work done to ensure satisfaction. From the personal view, Scott is a friendly and very polite man with nice personalities.

Scott who runs it is friendly and knowledgeable. They offer a ride when you drop off your vehicle. The price of repair is very reasonable.

I have to say how refreshing it was to finally get my car repaired after 6 months of getting doinked around in Miami, where I live. Jim s repair really helped us out and the car was perfect after this repair. He got us in quickly and charged a fair price which seemed ridiculously low compared to Miami prices. It just made me feel so good to not get ripped off, have the car fixed once and for all, and to encounter an honest person. I cannot say enough good about Jim s repair and honestly God Bless the midwest!Service: Electrical repair

As an Out-of-towner, I had a problem with my Jeep spitting out Anti-Freeze, I managed to limp my vehicle into the shop, And with No Appointment, Scott came out, Looked at the truck, diagnosed the problem as a loose Serpentine belt, tightened it and didn't charge me a cent! Fast, HONEST, Friendly and I will ALWAYS go to them for anything in the future if I'm in the area! Scott, God Bless! You're a life saver!!!

As someone else said, you must need to be a long time customer to get decent service. I'm not very patient, but when 'I'll pick your car up after lunch', turned into two, three, four o'clock, I called another repair shop, because I'm already missing another day off work because they obviously didn't need my business.

Excellent auto repair shop.Great service, extremely affordable prices, and expert knowledge that is translated so anyone can unserstand.I m terms of assessment, diagnoses, and intervention, this shop is run with the precision of an engineer - not a place that has a goal of changing parts and hoping for the best.I will be going here for all my future car care needs.

I wish I could give it negative stars. where to begin? apparently you have to have been going to jim's for a long time in order to get treated with respect and common courtesy.i believe we called Jim's auto on a thursday or friday, told him the problem with our vehicle and he was nice enough to come out to our apartment (about 2 miles away) and assess whether or not the car could be driven to the shop or not. someone, i don't know if was jim or not, came by and determined that it would need to be towed. we were told that someone would be by to pick it up sometime over the weekend or perhaps monday since they wouldn't be able to start working on the car til later in the week. we were given an estimated time of completion between the following thursday and saturday.fast forward to tuesday and the car still hasn't been picked up. i believe my fiancee was in correspondence with the people at Jim's and we were told everyday that the car would be picked up. never happened. on tuesday we were told that personal tow truck had broken down the night before which is why it wasn't picked up this time. ok. sure. i guess they're pretty busy over there since they were unable to come get in thursday through monday. we were told they were working on getting the car picked up.flash forward to thursday morning, 7 days from the initial contact(could have possibly been longer, i'm just making it easier from a story telling standpoint) i was told that i should probably take the car somewhere else. so i proceed to do that. i shouldn't have tried to drive it the 4 blocks to the alternative auto shop but for reasons i'll explain shortly i made a bad choice.about 2 blocks from my house the wheel fell off. i called jim's auto to request his help in getting my car out of the road. i was told that he would get back to me. i haven't heard from him since.my daughter's birthday is tomorrow. i could have done anything besides sit here and wait on some douche bag that wasn't a decent enough human being to admit that he had too much work and i should go somewhere else from the beginning. but i put my faith in another man, another human, a supposedly reputable business, to fix my problem. instead of being honest with me so i could get my car fixed and give my baby girl an awesome birthday, this guy strung me along for whatever reason and turned what's supposed to be a fun time into no fun at all. i could just take a taxi to the grocery store but i already have to do that 4x a day between my fiancee and I, and now have to do it for an additional week.so if you like being misled, lied to, and literally left in the middle of the road waiting for Jim to call you back, then this is the place for you.

Has had my vehicle dead battery sitting in his parking lot for a couple weeks that's going to first ruin the battery and or he disconnected the fuses so I can't take my vehicle to another mechanic because now it won't start at all also my battery was just purchased and it's freezing cold both sitting dead and the cold will ruin that battery nice to know I'll need another new battery when I get it back that another 100$ down the drain plus the outrageous charge to just find out what's wrong my other mechanic was called I described the problem he J we right away what was wrong said cheap and you can't even find a part for itsoill have to find a junkyard parti said shitcoolbut how do I get my car to the new mechanic when he disabled my van
