Kurt, and everyone at Braun's, including the receptionist, are knowledgeable and skilled. Moreover, they are honest people. Best place in Marshfield for auto repairs. There's only one quibble. Because they are so good, it may take a couple weeks to get an appointment.

Kurt and Pam have always been great to work with when I come in for maintenance or when something breaks. Service was done some time before this review and just now writing it after forgetting. Had a cavalier that blew a brake line and took it here for replacement. They ended up needing to replace both rear lines and master cylinders. The repairs were done well and have held up but that's where the good news ends. After getting the car back the brakes were so soft they were bottoming out before the car even slowed. Being the first time I used them, and looking for if they could be trusted with further work, I took the car to my parents house so my father could help me figure out what was wrong. Upon removal of the wheel the rear drum brakes were so worn they were cracked and down to metal. They had the brakes exposed to do the cylinders and mentioned nothing of the brakes let alone replace them. They should never have left a shop in the state they were. There was also a ton of air in the lines which were probably not bleed at all. We opened the valve, bleed the lines, and replaced the brakes ourselves. After calling them to complain we were given nothing but excuses. We were told the guy that worked on it was new, and that they couldn't get the valves open to bleed the brakes and after the cylinders were replaced it was too late to replace the valves. Again we opened them ourselves and easily at that. They were courteous, and did say I could have brought it back for them to look at (which I didn't do for eval reasons). They apologized for not knowing about the brakes, but somehow knew exactly why they left air in my lines that rendered the brakes almost useless and decided I didn't need to know that when I picked the car back up. They offered no compensation for the incomplete job only saying if I brought something else in they MAY be able to take SOME cost off labor. An offer I have elected not to take them up on.Edit: This review is nothing more than an accurate complaint and is not written to be inflammatory, but given the response I must clarify there was no budget constraint save for mentioning if they thought the car was not worth the repairs needed let me know. They did not discuss the additional things needed AT ALL so that could hardly be a budget issue. If This was truly an issue of the vehicle not being fit for repair, again, they did not communicate this to me and went ahead with repairs. This is a perfect example of the side stepping responses we received when they were called with our complaints.

Excellent, personable customer service right from the first call. I count on Braun's to be honest and fair. Their work has always been thorough and dependable. They stand behind it, too. We've been taking our vehicles to them for years and plan to continue.
