tl;dr: I was a bit unhappy about how things played out with my service. Dewana feigned concern and asked what was the matter, then, totally unprovoked, proceeded to escalate into 2 minutes of screaming at me the top of her lungs, going on an irate tantrum until another employee came to intervene. I have never seen a public display of rage like this by a business's employee in all my years. just wow.I brought my car in for a scheduled electronics installation, and I get a call before close saying the system installation is complete, but my battery is too weak. ensuring electrical compatibility is generally the first step with installing any electronics, but never mind that. I bought a new battery elsewhere and brought it in, and they wanted to charge me $50 or $55 to install it. lol. I declined and came back the next day with a 10mm socket wrench. given "liability issues" I couldn't do the work there, so I had to jump my car, drive it to the next lot over, then install the battery. fine.before I sign the papers for all of this, I ask why there's a hazardous waste disposal fee for a couple dollars, making sure there wasn't anything else amiss given what I'd seen. Dewana proceeds to ask me what my "attitude" is and that she observed this "chip on my shoulder yesterday" and if there was anything she could do about it. I obliged and replied "okay, well, I think yall should've checked the battery before installing it, and trying to charge me $50 for a 30-second job to install a battery that I'm providing is crooked." Before I could say another word Dewana starts shrieking how none of this is their fault, how I'm wrong and rude and ignorant for causing them trouble. I tried to get a word in before realizing how utterly helpless the situation was, and I sat there dumbfounded and in awe as the outrageous spectacle continued to unfold.wait, what? I'm paying for everything, I'm handling the battery situation myself, where is this coming from? oh I see, it must be that you think shaming and screaming at customers will wash away any mistakes, or that you can scare people into silence rather than trying to be accountable, or empathetic and ensuring customer satisfaction.shame on you Dewana. do you really think your absurdly immature display of anger would quietly fade into the past without consequence? I let you think so for a good month but here it is, the truth you were dreading, for all to see. if you think it's alright to scream and yell at a customer, in a customer-facing role, I have news for you: you need to go to therapy.didn't I hear from the other person present, who calmly and coolly requested I sign the paperwork amidst your enraged shrieking, that their father runs the business? then, for a friend's father to offer you something as generous and stable as employment, you'd think you'd reciprocate their generosity and respect by not jeopardizing business with your uncontrolled temper. the fact that you're a burden and liability on the business clearly isn't a secret either, you're putting undue stress on your coworkers who clearly know this is an ongoing issue. how else would the other employee be so quick as to stonewall and appease and try to wrap up the situation by getting my signature and getting me out of there asap? one of the mechanics walked by and didn't even blink an eye as you kept going.I even had the wherewithal to console you in the aftermath of your tantrum since you were so clearly emotionally dysregulated, and you chose to pretend to write rather than acknowledge what had happened.get help. life doesn't have to be as difficult or as miserable as you're making it out to be.for the owner of the business: I am now going out of my way and paying an extra $15 a pop to get recalibrations elsewhere. I'm planning on getting a new car soon, and rest assured I will gladly overpay hundreds more for that removal and reinstallation through another service provider. that's pennies on the dollar for the peace of mind, knowing I don't have to run the risk of being berated and humiliated again.

Unprofessional argumentive and clearly get nothing done judging by how full their lot is...never done business with and wouldn't recommend any of their services... Also wouldn't doubt that half their vehicles on lot for sale are refurbished crash damaged units I'd suggest to stay away from this shady tree shop

Needed my mother's car towed in for service when I had to be at work. I called Tug Away and set it up in about five minutes. They were very polite and businesslike. Less than two hours later I got a call from the dealership saying it had arrived. They are my go-to for towing in Sun Prairie. No hassles, good price, reliable service.

We called Tug Away for a tow/repair to a tire. The tow truck arrived on time. The driver was friendly and efficient. The next day, Adrian called and was thorough with explaining what was needed to be fixed and why. The car was repaired at a timely manner. Paying/Pick up was a breeze. Latrina is very friendly, helpful and has a smile that will brighten up your day. The staff at this company took care of our automotive needs and we are very appreciative for the service that was performed. Will definitely call again if the need arises. Thank you, Latrina, Adrian & Driver for a positive experience.

Unfortunately I had my car towed because of the apartment complex I live at. We had 2 inches of snow and apparently that was to much for the plow driver and managers. This was off of Wyoming Avenue in Sun Prairie WI. I would recommend NOT living at Oak View apartments. Anyway this tow company went above and beyond and got my car back for me after I gave him my key and paid for the tow. Otherwise I would have to get a ride to go get it. I understand that they were just doing there job. Kudos. I would recommend.. Friendly, helpful, and fast....Service: Car towing

About a month ago I had a flat tire and was unable to remove the lug nuts to put on the spare. After searching my phone for near by tow services ( and calling several of them only to get answering services) I came upon Tug Away Towing services,LLC. A person answered the phone right away and they were quick to get my information and dispatch someone to my location. The driver was friendly and knowledgeable. Most of all he and the rest of the staff , I encountered, were completely professional. The price was a fraction of their competitors. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing tow services!

My van broke down so I called a different tow company and they didn't answer so I called Tug Away and the dispatcher that answered was very nice and thorough. She informed me when the driver would be there and he was even earlier than expected. The driver was also very nice and we had a nice chat on the drive to the shop. I was also pleasantly surprised by the affordable price. In the unfortunate event that I would need another tow, I would definitely call them again.

I want to thank Latrina the receptionist for sticking with me from the start til the end, also with Ace (latrina son/ ) wanting scratches and rubs. The tow guy was very professional and Nice. The mechanic and the owner let me know what I needed done and know what could be done but wasn't completely necessary at this point, since it is just a work vehicle. Saved me money by telling me my battery was still under warranty , so I went and replaced it with a new one at F&F(saved me $70+)! The service was excellent and the bill didn't leave me with an empty bank account. This is not the end of my relationship with TUG AWAY TOWING and SERVICE, thanks for getting me back on the road guys! Susan the painter.

From the office staff, mechanics to the tow truck drivers I have had nothing but outstanding customer service. The towing prices and car repairs are very reasonable. Did I mention they have expanded their business to auto sales as well. I highly recommend tug away towing for your future auto needs. Come help out a small family owned local business.

Very thorough and professional - both the dispatch/service people and the tow driver. We needed a very large sprinter Van towed, which caused a problem for another company. Tug Away asked all the right questions, (size, height, empty or full (for weight) and sent a driver who knew what he was doing, and was polite and cheerful while loading the van. Very happy with this company.

I'm a very happy with my service from this tow service. They came very fast and were chesper than others I called. The driver was very cool and helpful. I was in a very bad spot to be on the side of the road so a driver coming quick was very comforting. Great service and if I ever need it again I will call here first.

-O- STAR!!!!!!!I have been a customer of this place for the past 5 years. We've received excellent services and fair prices. First time this year we took our car to the shop. We received a call a couple days later and was told our car was ready for pick-up. When we arrived to pick-up the car, we were told that they had put in the wrong sensor and that they needed to install the new one. (weird, right? why call and tell us its ready???) As the guy in the office is telling me the total, it's totally different than what was given earlier. He explained that they had to charge for the towing. I was told the towing would be free. He said then he'll need to add one of the charges back on and then he'll go ahead and get rid of the towing charge.....REALLY? He ended up giving me the price they told us (great). We paid and left.... without the car.The following morning, we received another phone call that something else needed replacement. We told them to go ahead and replace it as well. One week later...The same car is having break issues. I call and spoke with the manager (Adrian, or something) and he was rude and disrespectful right when he got on the phone. Every time I started talking he would interrupt me. I wasn't sure if he was talking to me or someone in the background. I did get frustrated and told him that we have been doing business with them the last 4-5 years and have always liked their honest service. This guy...., probably without thinking tells me that he just recently bought the business a year ago...!!! WHO TELLS A CUSTOMER THAT... WHEN THEY ARE TRYING TO TELL YOU... THEY HAVE LOVED DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU BUT is a bit frustrated with how you are handling things! !!!I felt bad for the tow truck driver. He didn't even want to call his boss back. The tow truck driver was very friendly though and did his best to not say his boss was a jerk. This new management is unorganized, sloppy, no people skills! Go to Ben's!

This is my first tow in the Madison area and I am glad that my roadside assistance company with Russ Darrow picked your company to come out. The driver was very nice and did try to see if he could fix the tire with the compressor and sealant that came with the car but the puncture was in the sidewall.Got it set up on the dollies and hooked up in matter of minutes and was on our way to the dealership. Best tow I've had in years A++ thanks

Car died on my way to work yesterday, I work across the street from Tug Away so I've used them 2 times now. They are a great local business. Jeremy the driver and Latrina the dispatcher were friendly, attentive and a pleasure to work with. I went in to get my receipt for the two to submit to my insurance, and meeting Latrina in person - she is a ray of sunshine! Thanks Tug Away!

Had to give 1 star but really should be 0 out of 5. Company "Never received" an emergency roadside assistance service request from Ford Roadside assistance. I called 3 separate times, all incompetent and not helpful. I never received a call from the actual towing company until 5 hours after my incident was reported, and 1 hour after another towing company took care of me. I also, despite my extreme displeasure in service, had the dignity to call the this towing company personally and cancel the service request after the other one showed up. The management did not even notify their driver that service was no longer needed, made clear by the phone call i received 1 hour after i canceled the service asking me if i still needed help.WORTHLESS WASTE OF TIME AT BEST.

I would give this a zero if possible. Our truck broke down 70 miles from home. They quoted us $200 and then called back a hour later and jumped it to $400 knowing we were stranded. We called at 3:45 pm. Our ride came at 5 pm. They told us that if our ride came that we could leave the truck. We called at 8 pm for the ETA at our home. The dispatch gentleman told us a hour. We called back at 9:45 where the same dispatch representative told us 15 minutes... without looking it up. We called back at 10:30 where the same rep said that he had to check the GPS. He only thought to do that after I expressed my extreme dissatisfaction with the service. He said that he'd have the driver call us directly. The driver called us at 10:50 telling us that he had just picked up the vehicle as he was rerouted to help other people instead of towing our truck. It's 11:15.... the truck still is not here. We're essentially going on 8 hrs... and $400 for the worst service!!! We filed a complaint with AAA and from the reviews online; it looks as though poor service is a common practice. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!! We will be speaking with the owner on Monday for a refund which I'm gauging is going to be a battle..... the truck JUST arrived!!! 11:25 pm.....

I am not going to lie we were a little hesitant buying a vehicle from Adrian and tug away.. We were traveling 2 hours to look at a car that they were selling. Adrian was very honest about everything. There was a wierd sound and before test driving it to far he made it a point to take it back to his shop have both mechanics look at it showed us everything and explained what it was, which wasn't anything critical. Prior to going we checked reviews given the only 1 star reviews were complaints about towing and we all know you can't make everyone happy when you provide services, so we gave it a shot. But from a car buying experience and anyone looking to buy a car from them you won't be disappointed. I want to thank adrian and his family for being so flexible, kind and helpful. Thank you guys again.

Terrible awful people.Very rude and unprofessional. Beware of these people. My car was towed after an accident. They did not take my car directly to the shop. When I went to get my electronic equipment from the car so it would not stay out over the weekend in the subzero cold. They charged me $270 to get my stuff out of my car. Claimed it was for his time. How does that make sense for a 24/7 towing company?Tug Away Towing are extortionists, crooks, a waste of a business and a waste to the Sun Prairie community. I hav use many towing services and this was the worst. 0/5

What great company service Mark provided to myself and my husband today. We had a car that didn't start and not ever needing a tow before we didn't know how to get our car to be serviced. Mark was quick to come to our aid and was very professional. Thank you! We felt the price was very fair, half of what we were dreading that we were going to have to pay.

Called AAA to get a tow after my car was hit. Tug Away didn't receive the full information needed and sent a truck that wouldn't be able to tow my car. That wasn't the problem. The problem was the truck driver telling me they'd send a truck that was able to tow my car and told me to wait for the call from the new driver. I waited two hours to hear that Tug Away wouldn't be fulfilling the tow request because "AAA gave them the wrong information". This was very poor customer service. If I'd been told right away that they wouldn't be able to fulfill the request, that would have been one thing, but making me wait for two hours was not fair to me.
