Hands down the worst customer service and poorest service in general. Brought my car in for an estimate and then scheduled to bring in for another service in which I asked if they could fix both problems at once. They told me that they would have to look at the original issue again during this visit - okay fine. Brought my car in a third time for the service and was called 5 hours after dropping my car off that they ordered the wrong part and would reorder the correct part. That was now one month ago. Have called twice to ask for an update on the part, no one gets back to me. NEVER go here.

Wouldn t recommend buying anything here. Traded 2 cars in on 1 and both were financed with different banks and neither were completely paid off leaving a small balance on both loans. This occurred in 2021 and I ve contacted them and they keep saying they will take care of it since they didn t send payoff checks fast enough. They never took care of it and the last person I talk to said he s positive it s not their fault because they sent the check within 6 days. On a 10 day pay off 4 days isn t enough time to mail and be processed. He then said he d mail me a check and I ve waited 12 business days and still nothing so pretty clear they do nothing in a timely manner. Only care about making a sale and not making it right. I d give 0 stars if possible.

Besides normal maintenance encounters I've recently had a couple of bothersome issues for which I got immediate assistance with resolution from the assistant service manager, Gregorio Jimenez. On both occasions Gregorio was a careful listener and followed through on appropriate action that got both issues resolved rapidly and with only a short wait on the separate occasions. He also has a very positive attitude approach and shows very good interpersonal skills. He is my "go to" guy for my service needs.

I had the pleasure of working with Victor Xiong from Smart Toyota. He answered all of my questions professionally and thoroughly and was super knowledgeable and friendly as well. His customer service before, during and after the sale was top shelf. My 1993 Toyota Micro-Mini-Motorhome died just as I got to Madison. Got towed to Smart on a Sunday night, and the next morning, w/o an appointment, David worked me in. Well before noon he had a detailed report, with pictures, of the problem with the ignition system, the parts needed, the delivery times, and the price to repair. He put me in for a loaner vehicle (brand new RAV4) and the repair was done on time, and a little under the quote. It has ran fine since.The picture is of their waiting area...custom coffee maker, fridges full of other drinks, semi-private laptop stations, and a very comfortable TV area. There was also a well equipped children's play area in a room with large windows and a door. Very nice touch for when it is busy.This was a very pleasant first experience there, and now I wonder why I bothered with the "other guys" South of them.Thank you David and Smart!Service: Engine repair

The customer service there was awesome. They helped me get a good understanding about the car I was loaning. I was provided the car of my choice. They made everything clear and understandable. And told me what I can and cannot do with the car. If you live nearby and want to check out a car, I recommend this place.

I had an appointment scheduled for later in the week but unfortunately I needed tire service quicker due to tire issues. Smart Toyota moved up my appointment by two days with zero hesitation. Ian Spencer was my Service Manager and he called me the morning of my appointment to let me know that my front pads/rotors needed to be replaced as well. Thanks for doing a full inspection of my Rav4 before putting my new tires on! Now I have the peace of mind with new tires and pads/rotors going into winter. This is what sets Smart Toyota above the rest. Thanks again!

Took my car in for repair and everyone in the service dept was very friendly and accommodating. They explained everything very well and kept me in the loop about everything that was happening. I would definitely come back for any car service

I had good maintenance experiences with Smart Toyota Service during the last few years until today . i had scheduled my Prius online for maintenance inspection ,oil change and wisher blade change. and possibly cabin air filter if needed. I told the service person I do not need a tire rotation as I just got new tires a few months ago .when I picked up the car the service person told me that everything was ok but i might need new tires soon as the thread is down to 4/32 , but they have a sale in the fall ...., i was more than a little surprised and told him that the tires are almost new . so he went back to his service crew for clarification and came back apologizing and confirming that the tires are ok and that there was a mix up with another car they serviced . so I wondered how i can be sure that all the other checklist information is correct ? who knows ? the sales person tried to reassure me but was not convincing so my trust is gone .i was told the cabin air filter is ok . i just checked it myself and it is dirty and has rips in it . i am pretty sure they did not examine it.I also remember that they checked for applicable recalls in the past which was not addressed this time.when we went outside to pick up the car the service seat protection cover was still on my seat .This was at best sloppy work , at worst , who knows what they missed . I will have to try and and check what I can myself now .I will not go back to Smart Toyota Service in the future .

If you're able to, come here instead of the East Towne location. Everyone is friendly and they don't try to sell unnecessary repairs. They were able to get my car diagnosed and repaired within a day, with a next day appointment. Scheduling was also very easy!

Smart Toyota was pretty pleasant to work with. Not that it's ever that fun to have a vehicle maintenance appointment, but things went smoothly. Making an appointment by phone was easy enough. Easy location to find. Might be silly, but I really appreciated the red or green lights over the automatic garage doors that let me know which door was available for me to drive my car towards. They gave us an hour estimated time for the car to be ready which would have been totally manageable if we had wanted to stay. Instead, we asked for any good nearby restaurant recommendations and he readily gave us some suggestions (this must happen somewhat frequently) We got a call that they were finished with our car earlier than they had estimated which is great

We were so thoroughly disgusted with the service department, specifically DeVonn Wyatt and Shonn Gibson, who decided without seeing the blown out tire on our 2022 Tacoma that it was not defective so not covered under warrantee. The tire blew out while we were exiting 90/94. It was a sidewall blow out. A service associate described the damage over the phone to DeVonn Wyatt and he determined it to be prior damage to the sidewall resulting in the blow out.We had already spoken with someone at Toyo tires who assured us the tire would be covered for replacement due to defective material. After DeVonn refused to look at the tire, claiming over the phone that he was on his way home, Shonn said he looked at it, described it to a Toyo rep and Toyo would cover 25% of the replacement cost. WHAT!! The tire had less that 31,000 miles on it and appeared to be in perfect condition until 2 1/2 hours on the highway and it blew out, due to defective material.We want nothing more to do with Toyo tires or Toyota. The tires are built by Toyo to specifications of Toyota and are included in the new purchase of the vehicle. We went to Farm and Fleet and replaced the 3 remaining tires, just in case they were as defective as the first one. SHAME on DeVonn Wyatt, Shonn Gibson and Toyota in Madison at 5901 Odana Road.

The staff was very communicative throughout the process and worked with me to ensure the repair goes smoothly and when there was a small hiccup with getting the necessary parts, they worked quickly to resolve it while giving me options for a rental or to easily reschedule. Shout out to Kenny!

Have been using Smart for over 20 years. My latest experience was extremely subpar. Our Prius had been sitting for an extended period of time and the battery had died. Dropped it off for a new battery and inspection. I explained that it hadn't been driven for a long time and needed to be checked over for any issues (aside from the battery) that such a lengthy period of sitting may have caused.Firstly I was told it would be ready Friday PM. Then it turned out their only tech who could work on Hybrids was too busy and it would be Monday. No problem - I would rather the job was done properly and not rushed.I picked it up Monday and on the way home I realized the stale smell was actually mouse smell. I assumed Smart would have checked the filters as it's both on the inspection list and I had explained it had been sitting for a long time. I decided to double check both the engine air filter and the cabin air filter. I was shocked. The cabin filter had a nest sitting inside it. Not only had it been shredded, but what was left was soaked dark yellow with mouse juice. The engine air filter had also been destroyed and was basically just fluff sitting in the filter box.I needed the car for work that day, so I couldn't afford to have to take it back in. I ran down to my local auto parts store and got new filters. I also cleaned everything myself as best I could. Finally, one of the tires was low on pressure (warning light and visibly low) and they hadn't even addressed that.The inspection sheet they gave me showed everything passed. Cabin air filter, engine air filter, tires - all green check marks. Hah.I usually try and do general maintenance myself, but thought I could trust Smart to get everything sorted for me as I was pushed for time. After this experience, I remember why it was I usually do this stuff myself. It's a mistake I won't repeat.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Phyllis helped me, on both occasions to find vehicles in my budget, met my standards that I would absolutely love. Every step of this process- that I once dreaded so much-has become much easier and more enjoyable at Smart Motors!

Currently starting my 7th hour in the waiting room. Read an entire 300 page novel [Artemis by Andy Weir, which I do recommend], cover to cover, and now I'm just not sure why I'm still here. Been waiting for a tire change and alignment to finish, was told 4 hours ago it was "almost done." It shouldn't take that long, right? I'd be ok with it if the staff here would just communicate how things are going, instead of ignoring me for hours on end...

Excellent customer service! Too bad I didn't make my appointment for a Monday, they offer free manicures while waiting, Tuesday's chair massages No worries though, the service was great as was the cost. The waiting area is clean and comfy, snacks and beverages are provided too. Definitely will continue having then take care of my car.

This place has car seat technicians on staff! I drove in, a tech checked and helped me rearrange car seats, and helped me feel like my children are a lot safer in their seats. Took 10 minutes, and there was no fee. Thank you!

Terrible communication between departments. Wasted my time and caused frustration. Looking for a different service provider after having yet another service experience where someone dropped the communication ball. My time is not respected.

The most organized auto service facility I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. This Service Center has a spacious waiting area that resembles a cross between a nice cafe and a British Pub. While they don't serve alcohol they do offer some really good do-it-yourself custom brew coffee. They also offer fresh pastries and popcorn. Help yourself! Has a big screen TV and plenty of places to plug in your phone or laptop while you lounge in one of their comfortable chairs/couches. First rate service from pleasant professionals!

The service was quick and the service members were very friendly. Took two stars away because of the confusing automated text messages. It always says your car will be done by 5 pm, so I thought my service was going to take 4 hours and it only took 25 min.

I've used Smart for service for years but will never again after they lied to a family member and tried to sell them a $500 brake job that was COMPLETELY UNNEEDED.
