RockAuto s purchase experience is a great example of how to run an effective online ordering business: user-friendly website interface that s easy to navigate, making it simple to locate the necessary part. Generous parts inventory, competitive pricing and fast shipping. So thank you RockAuto for making it accessible to be able to keep my clunker alive and out of the scrapyard. These magnets also made my day <3

I ordered a headlamp for my 2012 GMC Savana 3500. Their parts catalog is very easy to navigate. I selected my year, make and model, and selected the part I needed. When the part arrived, it was obvious this was not the correct part for my vehicle. The part numbers on my receipt, on the outside of the box, and on the part all matched. The packing slip and shipping label both stated it was for a 2012 GMC Savana. I initiated the return process on their website. This took quite some time as they ask many in depth questions to figure out why I am returning the part. When I finally completed the return, they stated that they shipped the part I ordered, the part should fit and that neither they nor the manufacturer of the part did anything wrong. My only options were to either keep the part or return it for a refund minus the shipping cost. I feel I am entitled to a full refund since their parts catalog stated this part should fit my vehicle. I could not find any email or phone number to speak with a live person to explain the issue. I WILL NEVER ORDER PARTS FROM ROCK AUTO AGAIN.

Can't say enough about this company, they've got all the hard parts to find for my little 1990 mx5(you muricans call them Miata's) at great prices that are pretty much half the price of parts bought here in Australia. Also worth noting is their super fast standard shipping, ordered on a Monday and arrived the following Wednesday so pretty much 8 days to get to Sydney Australia. Thanks guys, I'm sure I'll be needing your services again soon for my project.

I ordered headlamp assemblies for my 2015 Honda Accord Touring Model and the electrical connection was incorrect so we could not install them. I asked for a return which they did, however, I thought the form was not very user friendly. I didn't know they do not pay for shipping and was going to cost $200 to send them back but the parts were only a little more than that. There's no customer service telephone number so you can't speak to a live person, just email and the form you fill out for the return. Do not use them. You get less than what you pay for due to the customer service.

My first order from Rock Auto arrived today in 3 different boxes. They sent one of my 2 rotors by itself in a box 10Xs the size needed and packed so loose that the rotor was completely out of the box. All of the boxes were packed like a 5-year-old got a hold of them. Actually, a 5-year-old could have done a better job. All of the original product packaging is damaged. Hoping the parts themselves are in good shape but this will probably be the first and last order with Rock Auto.

Ordered 2 thermostats for my Dodge, a big one 170 and a small one 203 and some gaskets and seals.I recieved 2 small 203 thermostats, there was a small one in the box for the big 170 thermostat.Returning would cost me 45,- for a 12,- part. The return form is set on 'autorized' and there is no way to contact Rockauto, not by phone, email or whatever. So basicly, you can sell whatever you want as a company, because there is no way your customers can contact you. Will never buy anything again from Rockauto!

The order was received in a damaged box, although the carrier's packaging was intact and the order was protected. The part number did not match the number on the package. According to the return policy, I cannot return the part in a damaged box, perhaps it was deliberately damaged for this reason.

I discovered Rockauto 2-3 years ago and have been ordering most of the car parts from them. The car part sold in Australia is too expensive compared to America even after the conversion. They sell 2-3 different grades of car parts and you can buy depending on your budget. The shipping fees to Australia are also reasonable. I had some wrong/broken items sent to me but it was resolved very quickly. I'm impressed with their service. Recommended for Australians to buy from their sites.

On 12/23/23 I ordered a O2 sensor from this company and it was delivered. After putting the part in my car the problem still remained unfortunately. I troubleshooted the problem to the best of my knowledge as I'm not a extremely trained mechanic but I'm savvy enough. To further steps to make sure there was nothing else I could do and then I took it into a mechanic. That professional mechanic informed me that the brand new part that I bought was tested as faulty and needed to be replaced for the car to be working properly again. They replaced O2 sensor and issue was resolved. This is of course 500$ later for diagnosis and part replacement cost. After reaching out to RockAuto about the issue and requesting a refund they stated that since it's past their 30 days policy they are unable to refund. I considered that to be extremely favorable to their own business model. To be able to install a part, test it, and verify that it is working all within 30 days is completely unreasonable for the common person. This policy obviously benefits RockAuto.I paid about 60$ for the part So it should not be such a terrible ask to get a refund.I reach out to customer service and they are refusing to respond.

I ordered brake pads for my car, being very thorough when ordering. Received them, jacked my car up, started disassembling, then realized they were much smaller than the pads on my car! Rock auto asked me a lot of questions, trying to cover their but, offered to give me half a refund on the shipping, for their fault or the manufacturer? I just don t this is right and definitely not good business. If they don t make this right, I will NEVER! Order from them again and I will tell everyone what kind of business this big company, that claims to be so great.. I needed these brake pads, they cost me time, a lot of extra work .isn t that worth anything. I am taking new look at this company and don t think I will be doing business with them again, you should think also, when they ship you the wrong part and the cost you time and money and they want you to split the cost of shipping sending the wrong part back, that was their fault. I think after this I will go on the Better Business Bureau and see what I can do though them. I really don t have time for this, but I will make time for it. No more rock auto, I will just go to my local auto parts store, a LOT better in the long run.

Do not order your parts anywhere else. Great customer service even though you only deal with online returns. First rotors they sent had some deep scratches but they sent new ones with no issues what so ever. Parts are inexpensive for the performance you get.

I've been ordering parts for years from you guys. Now I cant get help for a part you told me was in stock that I purchased. It was not. I got a call from a machine. So I canceled my order for my fuel pump. It doesn't do me any good without the sock. Now I have to pay shipping back because everything in stock when it was listed as in stock. I'll take my business else where and encourage my motor head buddies to do the same.

They don t stand behind their products. I purchased a set or new rotors for my truck as a birthday present to myself along with several other parts. One of the rotors turned out to be defective, and they refuse to replace it because there was only a 30 day warranty. The damn things took almost 2 weeks to ship then it took more than 2 weekends for me to figure out which of their subpar parts was failing. Bottom line, you get what you pay for. I ll buy from somewhere more reputable next time, like Amazon or similar. Somewhere that actually cares about customer retention. This place does not.

I have bought a lot of parts from rock auto and I haven't had any trouble with any of them. I saved a lot of money and my parts were delivered on or before the date given. I recommend rock auto to anyone who asks me where to find parts that they need.

Really like Rockauto, only thing for foreign customers would be an option to first sent all parts to one US adres and then to transport to Europe. To avoid 3 or 4 times different shipping costs because of different wharehouses. Speed is not always required but price are.

I have been a RockAuto customer since my brother recommended them to me at Christmas. He showed me all these boxes full of very specific and (usually) hard to find obscure and random parts he had ordered for a vintage Chevy pickup truck he's rebuilding- but with modern accessories like power windows/door locks, modern in-dash stereo consoles, and adapters for fusing various parts of the (customized from original) engine so it would install and function flawlessly in his Frankenstein creation of a truck. I was absolutely blown away that he was able to so easily find all that stuff somewhere- parts that I would think would have to be custom made or at least very difficult to track down factory-made versions of.... So I started ordering parts from RockAuto my self for a Camry which I actually purchased from my brother. They had absolutely EVERYTHING I searched for, no matter how seemingly obscure- they had everything. Started with windshield wiper blades, then headlamp assemblies, then new gas struts to hold the hood up, then a full set of brake pad replacements, then custom-molded floor mats WITH the special little OEM clips that clip into the grommets in the floor and keep the mats from sliding forward,.... then a serpentine belt and the tensioner which it goes on and OEM sun visor for driver's side (which was for some reason missing when I bought the vehicle)... RockAuto had it all. And when I did my research and compared their prices to every other place imaginable (including eBay, Amazon, local auto stores, pull-a-part parts yards...everywhere I thought of to find any parts at a halfway sane price.....RockAuto had everything for staggeringly low prices and excellent shipping rates and customer service!

Most Times Terrific !Although one product order based on viewing my Ford Chilton#8576, pg.4-25 stating O2 sensor must be replaced 30k miles; and the RockAuto system also stating available for my '82 F100 V6 3.8L M3oT, and since product costs always rise, so ordered 2 units previous to looking for location on my truck {winter time, ehhh ;-) } !Two odd-ball scenarios,~ only one order for 2 posted but seemingly only i per location so I had to pay two shpg charge amounts vs a single'un, which is another reason I placed order for two ... save on shpg costs !~ Even though two seperate sources indicate '82 F100 V6 3.8L has at least one O2 sensor to replace, at least 4 months of online, even time once under vehicle looking, hard copy research still indicate no visual view of actual O2 sensor location. Yowser !! :-(Does RockAuto have a pic of the location for this vehicle, in a reference file to confirm the listing found, the online shopping catalogue ? With subsequent order placed& filled !RockAuto allowed to help with an applicable location pic', or the online reference used by the catalogue desk, that I haven't seen yet ?Thanks.....

If you are a business DO NOT use RockAuto as a parts option as they are very unreliable. Ordered LeafSprings for my customers vehicle and was told parts would arrive Wednesday. The part has not moved in shipping since Tuesday and it is now Saturday. I tried to set a return and planned to source another part and was told I have to wait until next Thursday before I can claim part is not delivered. When I call the shipping company they told me they don't have information where the part is and it was lost in shipping.

I travel for work and ordered a tail light assembly to replace my broken one. I was having the part delivered to a city that I knew I would be in had the part arrived on time. 4 days after the original delivery date and the part still hasn't been delivered (this is more on FedEx than rock auto) however the fact that rockauto has ZERO customer support is why they are getting 1 star. I've heard in years past they were a great company to order from and I was hoping to start ordering all my parts from them, but after this 1st experience or lack of, I will never order from them again. I'm hoping I can get my money back from my credit card since I will not be able to receive my part.

I ordered a front disc brake kit with rotors and hardware. The brakes and rotors fit but none of the hardware was correct for my car. After install and using the brakes for a week, every time the car sits for more than a day the brakes squeak for the first couple of miles. Not the end of the world but certainly not the best brake repair experience of my lifetime (over 50 years doing my own brakes).

Ordered parts 1/9/24 ordered arrived 2/6/24 late and damaged, A replacement order was sent 2/7/24 still hasn't arrived checking the tracking number and it had criss crossed the country and is now in Indianapolis Indiana and shows no sign of heading back east to WV. BUT Rockauto wants me to wait till 3/15/24 before I can report it as not arrived or missing. What a joke of customer service and not planning ever to deal with this company again

Always had good experiences ordering from RockAuto. Best selection and prices if you have an older car that you need to keep on the road. If there is any issues with my parts you just submit a claim online and most of the time they'll send you a replacement part free of charge. You just need to make sure you get everything you need in 1 shot as you can't edit your orders once they placed. I do wish shipping to Canada was cheaper but its not RockAuto's fault that freight companies like UPS and FedEx are getting greedier and greedier.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! I purchased premium priced parts(Moog and Ac Delco control arms/sway bar links) and I receive poorly packed items that were not what I purchased. The items came with different part numbers than the receipt listed. When I looked up the part numbers they were cheap chinese knockoff parts that probably sell in there economy section. The box was in poor condition, and the items were rattling inside. The control arms were literally thrown in the box, and the studs even tore through the box. I initiate a return and indicate as such. When they received the items they Deny refund claiming I kept the box for the control arms that they never arrived in. I respond indicating they absolutely did not come in boxes and they respond they scan the boxes when they ship and discontinued contact. Must be nice to get caught defrauding a customer and then deny refund when you get caught with arbitrary reasons. Whats even more crazy the 100+ reviews with the same exact complaint

Warped brake drums out of the box. Felt the vibration in less than 0.1 miles. Was told the test drive warped the drums so the warranty does not apply... Seriously, buy parts from any other supplier!

Great prices & good quality but poor customer service. On the service end-there is no phone number (other than corporate voicemail). So you spend a lot of time emailing back and forth. In my case, I hit the cancel button for an order and got the message "your order has been adjusted". Well the parts shipped out to me anyway and Rock simply stops emailing you when they don't want to trade emails anymore. Here's the last couple replies from Rock Auto: "A supervisor will review the orders and determine if any of our policies were misapplied, or if any error was made by our representatives, and contact you only if they determine that the orders were mishandled." "This is an automated message to let you know that your email could not be received because Ticket xxxx has been closed."

I was sent the wrong parts and because i work 3 jobs and don't have the time to work on my car i waited until Christmas to do car work and they sent me the wrong springs for my 03 mustang GT I will never buy from them again. You can imagine my disappointment when after 4 weeks of waiting to do my car work, rear end suspension is done and we get to the front end and the springs don't fit. Thanks Rock Auto for ruining my Christmas.

I bought a pair of Lesjofors springs for my Mercedes. After installing them, one side of the car was lower than the other. I took them off and took some photos. Do you see any problems? RA wouldn't give me my money back and would only do an exchange for the same brand. No way I'd give the brand a second chance. Anyway, I'm out $80.
