I have used Midas services twice at the East Madison location and both times I was very impressed with them. I found both Will A. and Amber S. to be very honest. Most recently, I expected that I needed a full brake job but they inspected my brakes and told me that I actually didn t need to have the brakes replaced. They could have easily proceeded with the brake job as I had expected, but they didn t, saving me hundreds of dollars. I appreciate the honesty they have shown.

Incredible! The store manager, Amber, is who I was dealing with and she was very kind and knowledgeable! She made sure that my car was prepared for some upcoming trips and communicated through the process on the status. Highly recommend this location for your vehicle services.

They told me that it would be 3 to 4 hours to fix my brakes, but the guy who was working on my car had my brakes done at 12:30pm all because he didn't take his lunch break. That to me tells me that they care about their customers. I will definitely take my car back to Midas.

Don t even waste your time getting an appointment here. The manager told me in an email to drop my vehicle off at 930 and said what the inspection fee would be. When I showed up I was told I never responded to the email so she didn t save my appointment. I guess I should have tripled checked my appointment was saved. Poor communication from the business and really poor customer service in the store. No solution for a future appointment offered. Just kept staring at me like I wasted her time walking to the counter. I ll make sure and spend my money elsewhere.Service: Brakes

This is my new favorite service center in Madison. The staff here is super friendly and approachable, and everything was explained to me really clearly. Will was great to work with and really fun to talk to. The best place to get your vehicle fixed. They do everything! DJ is the best mechanic I've ever had, there's not one thing he doesn't know how to do. The manager, Amber is amazing! Including assistant manager Will. All of the staff are very nice, understandable, helpful people and I won't take my vehicles to anyone else! Thank you DJ, Steve, Amber, and Will, all of you are so amazing!

The bracket connecting my shock absorbers broke. I called around 8:30 AM on a Saturday. Midas was able to get me within a half an hour, diagnose the problem, and get me back on the road by 1 PM. The repair was reasonably priced and all the Midas staff were good people. Thank you for helping a guy in a pinch!

Been to this location a few times. First time was to verify what the dealer told me...dealer lied, or their alignment machine is extremely broken. Amber at Midas gave it to me straight and saved me a good chunk of money. She's honest and isn't patronizing - which I appreciate both as someone who doesn't know much about cars and as someone who's been oversold and ripped off before. She's naturally honest and honestly wants to help you get what you actually need. I just moved back to Waukesha, but I will gladly be returning to Madison for my service appointments. Couldn't give a higher recommendation.Service: Oil change

Zero stars. I scheduled an appoint online a week ago. Had to call two days before the appointment and was told - Oh sorry we have had problems with our system. And we don't have any opening on the day I had planned.

They ordered our rims but ordered the wrong size. So it took about 2 weeks for the rim to come in and then they complained about the other dealership putting the lug nuts are too tight but because we did not get four new tires. For some reason we have to wait another week. Complained about the lugnuts being too tight on the room or whatever they have to torch it off... which is fine problem I have is that, that if you know that the other company put your tire on too tight then why would you do the same thing after giving us the numbers of how typed it should be on there.They are very friendly until we said not today.. we never said no we just said not today I don't get it people can do stuff to try to make people's life' more crazy... Although it didn't work because I know everything will work out for the goodService: Tires

Ran 10-15 minutes late to my wheel alignment appointment, however Amber and the team quickly got me in and out. Amber was able to clearly articulate the issues my car was experiencing while being open and honest. Customer service was one of a kind. Definitely recommend Midas on East Side! Had noise issues while braking in my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Talked to Amber at the store and she knew exactly what needed to be replaced and got me quality brakes at a good price. Please refrained from going to this place. The female manager Amy was very disrespectful and liar. She stated that the newer Mitsubishi Outlander's oil light can only be reset by dealership. Called the dealership on speakerphone in front of her and the dealership dismissed her lie and attempted to assist her a few times with resetting it, but she couldn't comprehend on how to do it. Then got upset at me when I called her and co workers out for the lies and not knowing how to do their job. So I went on YouTube and within minutes, I reset it myself.Service: Oil change

I can't describe enough how thankful I am for Dave and his team at Midas. I brought my car in without an appointment because my brakes were acting up. I needed to drive home 3+ hours the next day and wanted to make sure the car was safe to make the trip. He squeezed me in right away, talked me through what the problem was, and found the cheapest possible option for me. He was kind and considerate, and got my car back in just over an hour. Great service and great people!

These guys were AMAZING! Their schedule was open and I got an appt with the next day. It did take a whole hour after arriving to get my car in garage but it looked like only two mechanics were doing their thing so it's understandable. Due to time constraints on my part I had to ask them to skip the oil change with the guy was just about to start and just change my brakes. Not a single time did he gripe or grumble. He shifted gears and got my brakes down in less than an hour. The employees here are super polite, friendly, and patient. HIGHLY recommend giving these people your hard earned money for their service.

Drove from Indiana the day before my son's wedding in Madison. Started hearing a rubbing noise in the back of the van when I got off the interstate. The next morning I took it to Midas, and Mark was already there with the coffee brewing. I needed the van before 2pm, and Mark was able to lend me a car to get back to the hotel. Mark and his team was able to diagnose the issue with the rear brakes, and fix it by just after Noon. Drove that van to the wedding with no issues. Also drove it around for another 600 miles since and no noises. Excellent job.Service: Brakes

What an excellent experience with the staff here at Midas. Work was efficient and approached with care. I had asked the staff to help me put on my new license plates and the process was a bit tricky given the frozen screws on the plates themselves. The team did a phenomenal job in ensuring the old plates were removed and the new ones put in place. The crew stayed a bit later to accommodate my request and I greatly appreciate that!I look forward to coming back for future additional repairs. Greatly appreciate the positive and professional attitude of the staff, very welcoming!

Seriously never going anywhere else for my car! Dave and his team were not only kind and had GREAT customer service but they made some amazing recommendations and kept my budget in mind. I had a flat that they fixed, within hours and at a great price. They didn't take advantage of me or try upselling me on things I didn't need, either which I find always happens at many other shops. Their interactions with me felt real and sincere with my best interest at top. David is AMAZING and his team is too, I wish I knew of them earlier. Im getting my winter tires and all other needs done by only them moving forward!

Just made the switch from Goodyear to Midas (literally as I just got home from my appointment) and so glad I did. David was great- he helped me understand exactly what was going on with my car and gave great recommendations. Cost was completely reasonable for the work that needed to be done.Since moving to Madison I ve been looking for a shop I can trust and have a good feeling I found it.

I brought my car in for a couple different issues. The manager Dave and his staff were very knowledgeable, nice, and fast. I felt at ease here knowing they were taking care of me. I will definitely refer my friends and family here.

I've had tires done here, oil changes and minor muffler repair. I've always been satisfied with the quality of the work and the reasonable prices. The manager at this location is super friendly and pleasant to work with. I'll keep bringing my car here. Always a good experience!

I had to get my oil changed 3 separate times because they kept using the wrong gasket. I drive a Toyota, hardly a unique car. The folks are nice, but steer clear and go elsewhere.Update: Car still leaked oil. So I went to a reputable mechanic who confirmed they damaged the oil pan.Service: Oil change

Marc Johnson was absolutely fantastic. I was out of town and potentially having major car problems. Issue was simpler and cheaper than he initially thought. He was honest, helpful, and friendly. I highly recommend Midas in Madison.

Originally quoted $330, then it went up to $900+ When they realized I needed new calipers. Got a loaner car that I was told had an issue with the fuel cell and that the gas gauge was stuck on E and the low fuel light was on. They ordered wrong part, so repairs took an extra 2 days. the car stopped working on the beltline. Midas told me to get it towed thru their guy, and I got a ride back to the shop. After leaving with my fixed car, I got a call telling me the gas was empty and that I owed over $100 for the full tank and the tow. Other shops will do complete brake jobs for cheaper, and will likely give you a loaner car that won t fail. All in all, they did fix the car and I did need a loaner- which they had..... edited since all they did was send a link to the contact us portion of their website and have not replied. After arguing with the manager I received a bill in the mail for over $116. Called to make payment, but it was managers day off so nobody could help. If something is actually done on their part to help, I may edit the review but this is garbage service.Services: Brakes, Oil change

I am from Georgia and was passing through Madison, WI on June 8, 2017. While on the interstate, my tire pressure sensor came on. I immediately took the next exit and and went into a store parking lot and found a slow leak in my tire. I searched the internet from my phone and found a tire store (a national chain)close by and went there to have the tire patched. I was promptly told that they were booked with appointments and I would have to come back the next day. He offered no assistance. He told me I could try another store close by. I went down the street and pulled into the Midas and went in and explained my situation. I spoke with David Key and Marc Johnson and they were both happy to help. They checked the tire and found that it couldn't be patched and explained why. They offered to take my spare off and put it on to get me back home. Everyone at the store understood my situation and all were very helpful. We even traded a few friendly jabs about the Falcons and Packers (Go Falcons!) They got me back on my way and wished me well. Thank you all for turning a bad situation into a pleasant experience!

Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable! The waiting area is super comfortable, clean, free coffee and plenty of reading material. I usually have bad experiences with mechanics but, they actually treat you like a human here. Definitely will be my regular mechanic.

Made an appointment to get 4 new tires put on. Got there got right in. They said it would take about 45 minutes and timing was right on. My warning light for low tire pressure was on and that still is on. Don't know why that didn't go off.
