First guy looked and gave me a totally wrong quote that didn t make sense. Mike, the owner, came out and gave me another one. That quote looked great. Essentially they were going to fix 3 areas on the car. They somehow managed to completely forget to do one part. When I asked what happened Mike came and looked at it then offered to fix it for me but I just wanted my money back. The invoice was completely unclear about what he was charging for each piece so he could only sort of make up a number for what he would give me back. I had to negotiate him up to a reasonable number. And honestly, the work I paid for that they did remember to do is okay at best. Mike s Maaco of Madison deserves bankruptcy.

The paint job was ok, but did not match the rear door, looks terrible. The car was returned with a small dent still on drivers side door. The trunk cover latch was broke and not put back together after they took the rear lamp off. Also the tape was still on the gas cover. Car was dirty inside and out. Disappointed on the final job.

5 star service from walking in to walking out, the owner is a really nice guy and service couldn t have been better. I was just a walk in with no appointment and needed a small part painted. He matched a local competitors price and had my part painted and ready for pick up in 24 hours. Quality of the work was great as well. Will definitely be back. Thanks Mike & Team!Service: Painting

My experience was terrible. Took longer than expected. I had to go get the parts. Cost more than expected. Interior plastic was broken or not installed correctly. engine compartment was totally a mess. I was not happy. Found that sensors for collision avoidance now don't work. Phone charging pad now doesn't work. Everything about this deal has been terrible. It was an easy repair and in my opinion handled with total incompetence and uncaring for customer service

The team was great, they were able to do fix my car as soon as I brought it in, and it took under an hour. Mike (the person at the front desk) was really helpful, he brought me through the whole process, and told.me exactly what they were going to do. I highly recommend this body shop. Stopped in Friday afternoon with no appt. My front bumper was hanging and partially detached with some more issues underneath with all the plastic parts. These guys took a look at my car right away, tried a few things, almost had me rescheduling for a bigger appointment the next week. However, they tried one last thing and it worked! They were able to get all the pieces back into their slots and fully secured after that. Ended up taking about an hour of work from them, totally unscheduled, and only charged a bit for the labor. Insanely great service, and I will definitely go back again!Service: Body & Trim

Very happy with the service provided by Mike and the crew at this location. Friendly, knowledgeable, right to the point. I appreciated being notified when they came across an issue - They needed to remove the topper from my truck to fix an area and Mike called to make sure I knew some stuff was going to be moved around. Update 05/22/2023:The owner Michael solved all of my problems, gave me a vial of paint for touch-up and verified that employee misbehaved.Changed 1-star to 3-star. I wish to give 5 stars to the owner Michael, but have to take 2 stars off for that employee's rudeness during my last visit.------------The boss was VERY nice; The employee was VERY rude and impatient. Do I recommend Michael (the owner/boss)? Absolutely yes! Do I recommend Maaco(the store as a whole)? Absolutely not!I sent my car in to remove rust, and Michael gave the car a thorough inspection (e.g. even lying on the ground!) and gave me a fair quote of $500 or lower, tax included. I had a fabulous time talking about cars, life and philosophy with Michael!However, the boss was not in the shop today. No one called me to pick up my car though the repair was almost done (they were just doing a car wash). I had to call Maaco instead.When I walked in, there was this employee who looked like Walter White from Breaking Bad. He was trying to charge me hundreds above $500. I clarified that I thought your boss made me an agreement on $500 . I had to pull out the hand-written agreement I signed with Michael to prove it. Then he still tried to charge me more than $500, saying that the tax was not included. In fact, Michael originally convinced me that the price would be guaranteed and there was no need for a signature. I insisted on having him sign it just in case your employee does not know about it. Ha, guess what happened today? Exactly what I was worrying about.The employee also forced me to sign the check-out form before showing me the car. I read the lines and asked it says I should sign after inspecting my car , and he replied ruthlessly they will bring it over, JUST SIGN IT! Michael has also agreed to give me a little bit of the paint sample, so I asked the employee for it, and he said you are asking for too much! I realized that there were several dimples (check my second picture) at the bottom of the wheel well. I suspected that it was due to welding but just wanted to make sure, so I called Maaco. Instead of either giving me the answer or politely replying I am not sure, sorry , the same employee picked the call up and yelled dimples? What dimples? Where? LISTEN! $500 is what you paid for! Come back on Monday and talk to Michael for your agreement! They also left on my left mirror a crescent pink/orange paint stain (check my third picture) that was hard to scrape off.Go for Michael, you get satisfaction and respect. Go for some random guy from Maaco, you get hospitality, impatience and disrespect. Michael deserves better employees.Services: Painting, Welding

Quality work takes time to complete. I was very impressed with there customer service and quality of work. They took the time to explain exactly what needed to be done and how much everything would cost. Then they worked with me on the price and they date I could drop off my truck that worked with my schedule. They match or beat other estimates which is very nice too. I would recommend Maaco to my friends and family to have collision repair or painting done on their vehicles. Thanks Maaco for painting my tailgate on my truck. It looks nice and had has complements from others asking where I got the work done. I told them Maaco.

I wanted to do a complete paint job on my Jeep Wrangler from a metallic ocean blue to a classic sand color. Mike spent a quality amount of time going over what would needed to be done and made some suggestions during the estimate to ensure that the final outcome would be satisfactory. I was also on a time constraint but Mike and his team came through with flying colors. They are easy to work with and I would completely trust them with any future work.........and the final outcome, nothing short of awesome! Mike's a class act and he won't steer you wrong.Service: Painting

Mike helped me get normal rust repaired on my silver 12yr old Honda Accord. I'm not a big car guy so I was worried about the paint matching and going into the process. Him and his team matched it great! My car doent look like an old rusty car anymore. Very happy with getting the rust repaired. I'm hoping it lasts a few years.Service: PaintingService: Painting

My 2012 Volvo developed significant peeling of the clear coat on the hood, roof and trunk. It also had some damage to the rear bumper. Andy and his crew did a beautiful job repainting the affected areas and repairing the bumper. They did outstanding work and they did it for a reasonable price. The service here is fantastic 5 stars!!! I wish every business owner was like Mike the business owner at Macco in Madison. I got into an ordeal with my camper van that saw the all parties liable not wanting to take responsibility. My van ended up being at Macco for a couple months while all this mess was being sorted out. Not only did Macco provide fantastic work on my van but Mike went to bat for me, and was incredibly patient with my situation and tried to help me in every single way he could. I have never been treated more like a human and a friend by any other company in my life. When the unexpected happens that turns life a little chaotic, it was such a relief to be working with someone like Mike. I will be forever grateful for his kind heart, patience, and willing and wanting to help. Thank you Mike, and thanks to all the magic makers behind the scene who do the work right the first time!!

I took my car in to get the front bumper painted, I brought the car in on Monday, it was finished by Tuesday but I could only pick it up on Wednesday. Got the car and I was amazed! I don't see any orange peel, and it looks great. The only thing that I saw was two spots where there was a slight run of paint. But it's not even noticeable. I didn't even notice it until I kept looking for imperfections. I definitely plan on bringing my car here, the workers, and Dan, the head manager seemed really professional.They even went off the quote I had back 2 months prior. The quote that I got back in December was 363.98 cents. I paid that exact same amount. No more, no less in February.

Maaco Mike and his team are fantastic. they worked seamlessly with the insurance company, and they were incredibly friendly and supportive and helped to guide me along through this process, as this had been my first time in an accident and wasn t sure how everything went. Maaco had the least expensive estimate of the places I looked at. They got my car fixed and painted within two days of me dropping it off. They were pleasant and helpful through the process and they did a great job. I just bought my 1st new truck. With 2 kids and 2 dogs I decided to get the truck bed protected with bed liner. I checked out many options including Maaco in Madison who had a great price and offered fast turnaround time. I trusted my new truck to them and it turned out great. The shop is under new ownership and all the staff was excellent. It has taken a beating already and still looks perfect! Love it!

My car was in a bumper crash i took it to maaco and they took about a month to repair my bumper when I finally was able to pick it up they lost my back license plate which I had to contact the dmv to get a replacement and my car is green apple the bumper replacement color did not match also my check engine light is on which it was not before I left with maaco the employee was rude and hung up in my face. The inside was covered in what looked white dust of some sort I will not be chosen maaco located in madison Wisconsin for another repair

I recently took my Nissan Rogue to the Maaco in Madison. The car was a dark green (which I never really liked) and had its fair share of door dents and dings. They completely changed the color for me to Orange Sunrise. Bumper to bumper, it looks like a brand knew car. I Love It! Additionally the manager Dan heard my kids play hockey, hence the reason for the scratches on the rear bumper cover - he covered the top of the cover with bed liner and it looks awesome and protects from scratches. I love my car again. Thanks Dan and team!

VERY PRICEY for the size of car! And attention to detail VERY LACKING! (I had my 4 door Accord painted at a Maaco in Prescott AZ 5 years ago for $2500 it was stellar!)Maaco in Madison:2 door civic = $4000Didn't sand off rock nicks and dings as promised.Although offered to touch up later, I did the missing touch up spots near the windshield and rubber stripping on the top of the car. WHY was this even an issue?Trunk fob doesn't work now. We were told they didn't touch the trunk latch. Then we find the latch casing later floating around in the trunk! How did that happen if they didn't touch it?The front license plate was not affixed to the car at pick up and had to be searched for at our demand that we had it when we drove in. In WI it is law to have front and back plates!A dirty buffing rags was left in the car. Ik, minor, but details!Owner is a nice guy and good salesman and perhaps it is a matter of training... until this gets resolved I'd negotiate pricing and keep a keen eye out on the details.Getting a car painted a "custom color" is a luxury and often times very special and saved up for for a long time, as was this car. Keep your eyes open and shop around!Service: Painting

Great owner, Mike. I trust him and his work, and if anything is wrong with their work they will fix it and go above and beyond no questions asked. The owner even drove me home while they worked on my car. Highly recommend!
