I would give 10 stars if I could!! Without question, one of the kindest, most honest group of professionals I ve ever done business with! I had a great experience when I had my car serviced at Greatwater 360 Madison.I previously visited two repair shops in Madison and they gave me the quick assessment saying that I needed a new transmission for my car.Greatwater took the time to investigate what the problem was, and I received lots of information about what was going on in the meantime.These guys were very professional and I highly recommend them.

They were so great! Got me in when I needed. Were super honest over the phone and in person! My vehicle was old with very high miles and instead of telling me I needed to spend a ton of money to fix it to their advantage, they were very real with me about the fact her days were numbered. Ryan and his team did an excellent job replacing a transmission on my 07 Toyota Avalon. Although the price is a hard pill to sallow, they used only certified rebuilt transmissions with a 3 year or 100k miles warranty. I also had my exhaust repaired and some new tires swapped while I was biting the bullet. Once I received my car back, wondering where my money went, I fired her up and was amazed by how smooth she drove. I could have sworn she was a different car now. The gears shifted smoother than a Sade song and faster than when I first bought her. She was now more quiet, faster and recovered most of her original mpg. Can t recommend this shop enough and if you have a car that is higher mileage, that has been taken care of. I would say it is worth its weight in gold getting those big billed items taken care of.Services: Transmission, Tires, Auto exhaust system repair

Fantastic service doesn t begin to cover how good these guys are. They did excellent work for me and there was absolutely no attempt to upsell me on services I didn t need. Absolutely amazing staff and amazing service. Not only are they willing to explain in detail what they re going to do for you but more importantly they re willing to take the time to genuinely listen to you and discuss your concerns with your vehicle. 100/10 I will definitely be back next time I need more work done. You guys are amazing and I hope you keep up the good work. Brought my car to East Side for a tyranny check and complete once over on all suspension systems. AC compressor was bad, rear shocks replaced. Everything else was fine ??? Suspension was still clunky & rattling. J&L Tire found several issues to the tune of $1300 in dangerously wore/broken suspension parts.Fixed everything, no more clunks, rattles & thuds.... How East Side overlooked all of this is beyond scary. Sorry guys, I can't, in good faith, continue to recommend your services.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Vehicle Inspection, Auto A/C replacement

I could not have asked for a better experience. My vehicle had some pretty unique issues and the guys at Great Water went above & beyond in their efforts to help me figure things out. Ryan & Troy were incredibly communicative throughout the whole process - which they made very quick! More than fair pricing & great customer service. I will definitely be using this shop for any future repairs!

I called them after another mechanic recommended I talk to a transmission expert. They answered some preliminary questions right away. They gave me a couple of different options. We picked one together that worked. Then they came in under budget. Happy to go back.

The staff at GreatWater quickly diagnosed and repaired our car. They worked with a 3rd party warranty provider to get as much covered under warranty as possible. We had a transmission go out on our car, something nobody wants to happen. However, that was not the only thing wrong with the car...We went to Eastside on recommendation from our main mechanic. Ryan and crew were super patient, "long-suffering" would probably be the best word for them working tirelessly with us and for us to find the issue. After several back and forth trips, it was finally realized that there was another issue that was causing the transmission to fail: a wiring harness.Who knew?!?!Now, we've got a car that works great. This shop is wonderful. I work across the bridge from them so they will let me drop my vehicle off and they get to it when they can while I am working. Then I walk over and get it after work. They do a great job with their services and I really appreciate the in depth report of my vehicle I get after services are done. Troy has the best customer service.Service: Oil change

Eastside Transmission quickly got me in because I felt something was wrong with my front end suspension and it turn out I was correct. Unfortunately I wasn t able to get the work done at that time do to the fact I needed two new tires which I knew and had them already ordered. Great place to take your car to get fixed. I sent an online message regarding my daughter's car during after hours. Left the car there and they stated online they could not get it in until 1pm. I went to Eastside Automotive and Transmission because a we purchased a new to us vehicle and the oil light came on. I was worried we had bought a lemon. The 7 day warranty was set to expire that day. They told me to bring it in that day so they could diagnose it before the warranty expired. They told me the car was fine, the issue was the filter had not been put on correctly. These men were so nice, personable and honest. I won t go anywhere else when I have car issues!

I've been taking my truck here for a bit now and they've always done a great job. My wife has taken her car here as well. Service is fast and they don't BS you on what you need or don't need. I like the texting option they have for service updates, and you can also pay online before you go to pick up. The lobby and bathroom are always clean which is a plus if you like to wait, and they offer some free drinks.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Tire rotations, Transmission repair, Brake service & repair

I took my car there, they completed an inspection and fixed what they said was wrong. I found out within an hour of leaving that the same problem was still happening. I took it back, due to a mechanic calling in sick they were unable to get to it. So, I picked up the car and brought it back the following Monday, they that the problem was something that they had already fixed and it was in a completely different part of the car than where the actual problem and told me to have it fixed would cost double what they charged me originally for a fix that didn't need to be done. Not to mention they ripped me off for what they said they fixed and didn't. I am very disappointed in them and now I have to go through finding another place to have my car repaired because they were unable to properly identify the problem and basically told me to kick rocks. So, I wasted my time, was ripped off for my money and my car is not fixed. I give them a zero and I am very concerned about what they might do to others.

I had the transmission go out on my 2012 Jetta. Had it towed to one place that said it would be $7000 to fix, which exceeded the value of the car and was more than I paid for it. With used car prices what they are now, I was not willing to give up on it. A friend recommended East Side Trans to me so I had the car towed there. Dave worked with me and told me what my options were, what could potentially be wrong with it and what it would take to fix. Since I like car a lot I was willing to put in some extra effort to get it fixed but didn't want to break the bank on it. They understood what I wanted and did a extremely through diagnostic and found that it was not the transmission at all but just the clutch which had broken - a rare thing to happen but repairable none the less and for considerably less than what I was expecting. They did the repairs and got me on the road for about $4800 less than the first place. They are busy so they might take a bit longer but that's because they are so good and do great work. I can't recommend them enough.Service: Transmission

Ryan at East Side was wonderful to work work. We have used East Side in the past to replace a transmission on my Subaru that was just out of warranty and their prices beat everyone else. A few years later the transmission valve (not related to th transmission replacement) went and once again East Side beat all their competitors on price. They were abel to make the repair quickly, but because my car appears to be a 'special' vehicle they couldn't complete the transmission relearn process. Ryan went above and beyond working on figuring out why the relearn process couldn't complete. He spent a ton of his own time at no charge to us to figure out what was going on. They found a few more issues with the car and gave us a great price on the extra parts and like I mentioned Ryan did a lot of the work himself and did not charge us because the errors appeared after the valve replacement. In the end the car was returned basically brand new mechanically. East side and Ryan did not have to spend all this extra time to make sure my car was safe to drive on his own time, nor did they need to heavily discount parts for us. They really stand behind their work and care about their craft. I am certain anywhere else would have given up on my car and charged me 4X the price (dealer probably would have charged more) East Side did. Unlike the dealerships and other shops East Side doesn't price gouge you nor do they find a ton of other things 'wrong' with your vehicle. I highly recommend East Side if you have any complicated repairs or if you need a second opinion, you can trust these guys.Service: Transmission
