I went in to get me alignment done, gentleman at the front took 15 minutes and said that I didn t need it done. Saved me 120+ dollars and I really appreciated the honesty. I would recommend this place to anyone worried about dishonest mechanics, they got good people here who want to help you regardless of the cash

Edit: Tim, the manager, personally called me after this review. Good to hear they took the feedback seriously regarding the mess on my rims that I had to clean off. He also addressed the issue of the service tech not walking through the BOM properly on the brake job. I appreciate the callback, and I bumped the review up a few stars because of it.Original review:Extremely sloppy work. They got bead sealant all over my rims. Three out of the four are completely covered.I also specifically came in for tires and nothing else. The upsell nonsense here is crazy. I just got a good deal on tires. They wanted to charge me $432.58 before tax to replace two rear disc brakes. The mechanic that came out covered the bill of materials and only showed me the overall total. He did not breakdown any of the costs. I only learned how much everything would have been individually after I paid.If I would have said yes to everything they said, I would have left that store with a $1,240 bill before taxes (includes my tires).I also heard the desk clerk tell a young woman that they were extremely busy today and he wasn t sure how long it was going to take. She leaves her keys. Another man calls on the phone, and the desk clerk says they re not busy at all and to come right in.Then at the end, they got mad when I also denied the alignment. I took it across town to fix the toe on the front tires instead to save $30. I did not trust them after wanting to charge me $430 for a single set of brakes/rotors.

They will scratch your rims and won t admit it. Tim (the front desk old man) was just making vague arguments about how it didn t happened over here that they were old scratches. Bringing the police over and had created a case is what I had to do if I hadn t had to leave town soon.I wish it can help you all.

Brought car in for multiple repairs. At pickup all was fixed except for 1 (understandable because it is intermittent and you have to drive it to see it happen). Turned around and immediately brought it back. They fixed it. Overall, very satisfied, and will come again.

Had a tire replaced here, when they put the new tire on they over tightened and totally stripped the lug nuts. Very expensive and time consuming trying to replace this tire years later. Horrible work done by people who don t care about you or your vehicle. I tell everyone who will listen to avoid these guys. Clowns

I needed a tire repair after having a screw lodged in the rear tire. Staff (Duane) was very friendly. They got the job done quickly and couldn t have been more hospitable! I like dealing with a company that makes its product in the U.S. Goodyear is the only tire dealer that does, from what I understand. They managed to fit me in the day after the 4th of July holiday and though very busy, still found time to be pleasant. I found the mechanic to be very nice as well. Highly recommend!

Made a same day appointment to have my brakes looked at through the website. When I arrived at the shop a few hours later they stated that I probably made an appointment at the wrong shop. When I showed him my confirmation he said oh well I guess this is the right place but we didn t have the appointment come through and we don t have anyone available to do that he ended up calling another shop to see if they were available. The other shop said that should be fine. After taking a look at the other shops poor reviews regarding scheduling and poor service and the fact that at best I would be able to pick up my car 3 hours after my original pick up time I decided to go elsewhere. Poor service all around and an absolutely useless online scheduler. Just go to call in service only if the scheduler isn t going to make a difference. Waste of my time.

Our 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport needed service to replace a broken radiator fan. The team at Goodyear Service 608 E. Washington Ave, Madison, WI was amazing. Service Tech, Bill Collins worked his magic and not only fixed the fan issue, but got the car running smoother than I can remember. Special thanks to Tim Campbell, James Heavey, Duane Hustad for their help too. My experience was so positive that I will be bringing our cars here for future regularly scheduled maintenance (and I live an hour and a half away). I highly recommend this team. They are true professionals.

MAKE SURE YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT OVER THE PHONE!Apparently the online booking just allows for infinite overbookings, and the unfortunate people at the actual service center are left to deal with the fallout.Anyway, beyond that, the staff was super helpful and managed to fit me in. Work was done quickly and to a very high standard, and price was reasonable.Staff: A+Service: ACorporate booking system: F

I'm continually impressed by this place. I've brought my car here several times to correct mistakes by other shops in the area. Great customer service and good mechanics. The only real drawback is the location. It's such a nightmare at the intersection of East Washington & Blair. I always seem to leave there during rush hour. Besides that, it's an excellent place for tires, brakes, and front end repairs. I don't really go by cost with my reviews because it's all expensive no matter where you go. I'd rather pay more for good quality work. I'd be screwed without them and their abilities, so I'm always greatful for what they do.

Went in for a free car check up. Ended up spending $150 for them to lift my car for 20 minutes and say it would cost $3,000 to have my struts replaced! Older gentleman who handles the desk uses vague words to lure you into spending money. Avoid this place at all costs. They are the cliche bad mechanic that you shouldn t trust with your vehicle.

I have been routinely taking my vehicle to this location for an oil change. Each time an inspection has been completed, leading to various recommended services. After the last inspection it was recommended to have the power steering fluid and rear struts replaced. I then had both of these services completed by another auto mechanic shop where I have been going for years with more extensive maintenance and repairs. Another oil change was completed today at this Good Year location. The technician completing the inspection again stated the power steering and rear struts needed to be replaced. He was informed both of these services were recently completed, and advised this did not make sense. When asked for an explanation he stated they wouldn't know and cannot always tell because it is dirty and stuff under there. I am highly disappointed with this place recommending services which have already been completed. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

They know their business. They discovered and fixed problems with my car's wheels that I didn't know about and then quickly corrected the problems. They are good folks who know their trade and charge a decently reasonable fee.

It's odd to see all of the poor reviews, but I think I can understand it. I found Polly (store manager) to be extremely nice. but maybe a little too nice. Nothing to complain about, really. Keep in mind, I know a decent amount of car maintenance and can generally figure out what the problem is. Anyways, I was having issues with my brakes. I thought the lines needed to be bled, but that wasn't the case. The whole lines needed to be replaced, which was understandable and clear after looking around at other cases online. Also, a wheel bearing needed to be replaced, and a control arm bushing needed to be replaced. The wheel bearing came priced exactly as I expected. Anyways, I was impressed with the timeliness of everything, as the vehicle was ready for pick up that night, even after several things were replaced. I was also told that my ABS light came on and a sensor/tone ring needed to be replaced. I found it odd that this all happened while it was in their garage, but realized that after replacing my control arm, it probably set this issue that was bound to happen off. Thad, the service manager, didn't push for it to be replaced and simply quoted me for the replacement. I picked it up the following day, as it was convenient for me, and after two turns on the road I quickly realized that something was wrong. My ABS kicked in whenever I braked, and when I wasn't sliding. I turned around and brought it back. They told me they could have it fixed up within an hour, and so I waited. Maybe 30-45 minutes after, my car was ready to go, so again kudos for the timeliness. But the best thing about it, they did this for FREE. I wasn't expecting it, as they told me prior that this was an issue. ALSO, since my bill was really high in the first place (considering the amount of work being done), I asked that it not exceed $1100 after taxes, they applied several coupons and was able to lower the post-tax price by $100. I'm very impressed with my experience here, and will most likely be back in the future. It's clear that they have worked out their kinks and have gotten their act together.

As a young female I m ALWAYS a bit nervous going to new places to get anything with my car being done. I read the reviews online prior to going and there were only a couple of negative reviews. I dropped off my car for a routine oil change, thinking that it shouldn t be a problem. While waiting for my oil change (my friend and I walked around to pass the time) to be done I got a phone call saying that my tire was completely flat when they pulled it in. Obviously my friend and I checked it out and it was completely split down the middle to the point that it wouldn t hold any air in it whatsoever. I m not saying that they did something to make my tire do that BUT it is just a bit suspicious that I had driven it 25 minutes there with it being completely fine with NO air pressure low light coming on prior to me dropping it off, and neither my friend nor I had noticed it when we got out of the vehicle. It is also a bit suspicious that it happened to happen while I was gone, and the fact that they had pulled my car in with it being supposedly flat. Not only this but I had my rim cap go missing while I was there (whether it wasn t put on at all or correctly who knows). With all this aside, the man inside was extremely rude, and only talked to my male friend that I was with about the issues with my car instead of to me, even though it had been made clear that it was my car. They then tried pushing me into purchasing new tires through them that day. I then came back a week later to get my tire replacement cap and ended up waiting 15 minutes for someone to help me, only after I had called the store while I was in there and walked outside to get their attention through the door. Will not be returning, I got tires from Discount Tires and they explained everything to me thoroughly and treated me with nothing but respect.

I've brought my vehicle to Goodyear for all maintenance needs since relocating to the Madison area. The service advisors have always been respectful, and the work is completed promptly.Recently, staff here were especially courteous when delivering bad news about significant repairs needed on my 11 year-old, high-mileage car, and patiently waited for me to crunch the numbers, so I could weigh my options. When I decided not to pursue the repairs (and instead, to purchase a new car), they were completely understanding. This speaks volumes about their level of professionalism.

I wasn't super impressed that I had only been there 10 minutes waiting. The guy forgot me entirely and started calling me Alex. Telling me my car was ready. Which it wasn't, I'm not Alex. Then I was charged full price for a tire rotation. After charging me they informed me they only did a partial job due to my struts needing replacement. I was not impressed with the service.Dear Tim at Goodyear,HI! I'm surprised you remember my name. You were calling me Alex and telling me to get going 5 minutes after I arrived. Also do you recall charging me for a full wheel alignment and only doing a partial job?Why on Earth would I come back and spend nearly 2 grand? Surely you must be joking. Hahaha, ohhh you!Sincerely,"Alex" with the Honda.

Very impressed by their customer service, quality of repair, and pricing. Initially brought a company vehicle here with ABS issues, and after a positive experience, had them take a look at my old 99 Jeep that a prior shop could not diagnose despite me having an idea it was either the front dif or transfer case. They found the problem quickly, gave me a quote prior to service, resolved an issue either created or missed by the prior shop, and worked with me on finding a used transfer case for an incredibly fair price when other shops would refuse to work with me on used parts. I recommend this shop to a close friend who's also in the "old jeep cult" and will continue to come here in the future.

Recently had a good experience working with Tim at Goodyear on East Washington. Had a rear tire that couldn't keep pressure, so took it in for a possible tire repair. Unfortunately, the puncture was on the corner between sidewall and tread, so couldn't be repaired.I couldn't afford a new set of tires that day, so requested that they replace the punctured tire with the spare, which they did quickly and at no cost, with the warning that I shouldn't drive on it for long.Went back after scraping together the cash and had a new set of tires on within an hour and a half. Tim gave me everything I need to redeem a rebate and walked me through the steps. Great service, no nonsense, clear explanations.

The only reason I give them 2 stars is because the people there were nice and worked with me when I needed to leave my car there for a couple days while I decided my course of action. However, if not for this I would give only one star. My car was having some brake trouble, and I brought it into Goodyear and was given an estimate of over $1,000 (for what they claimed were all necessary services). That shocked me as it is a fairly new model of car, so I decided to bring it elsewhere for a second opinion. I ended up getting it done elsewhere, and ended up being less than $400!!! Goodyear tried to tell me my brake lines were broken and they were NOT. Unethical of a company to lie to their customers and attempt to take advantage of them. Disappointed and will not recommend them to anyone.

Great customer service philosophy! They didn't charge me anything to fix a flat tire and reseal the other 3!! They figure if they fix your tires for free you're more likely to return when you need new tires. They are correct - I will be going back there for all future tire needs!

I am so grateful for everything Goodyear did for my car! Especially their patience with my old Pontiac Grand Prix. I had to take/tow it in about 5 times and they went above and beyond to figure out the problem. Very helpful and amazing service! And I didn't break the bank! I'd recommend them to anyone.

Starter went out on my 2007 Civic. Brought it here around 6 PM on a Thursday and it was ready to go by 4 PM the next day. Ended up paying $246.96 for parts and $262.50 for labor ($105 of which was for the diagnostic). Final bill was $563.86, which included a $25 fee for "shop supplies." At the time of writing this review, that's consistent with what I found on Google. All in all I had a good experience. They tried to sell me on new brakes and tires, which is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

Literally had two hubcaps fall off after they worked on my car - if they can't handle your hubcaps they definitely shouldn't be trusted to work on your wheels. Worst of all when i called them about it they lied and claimed the hubcaps were aftermarket ones which is blatantly false. Im just worried next time I work on my car I'll discover they damaged something else with their carelessness.

Had a slow leak in my tire on the way to work on Monday. I dropped it off and had it back by 11 AM with no appointment. I was super happy about that fast turn around and then they blew me away by not charging me anything for the repair! Thank you!

DO NOT GO HERE! Tell your friends, family, anyone you know to avoid this place like the plague. First of all, the manager (Polly), is very shady and does not know the first thing about customer service. I went there to get a small hole in my tire patched and they quoted me at $46. I knew it was a little more than most places, but for the convenience, I didn't care all that much. I ended up walking out of there with a $94 bill. Apparently, it cost $48 in labor and $46 in parts to repair a tire. When I complained about the bill, the manager said, "I try and tell everyone how much it will cost before hand." I said, "Obviously, you didn't this time and need to work on that. This is why car service places get a bad rep" All she said was, "No, you're wrong about that, but I'm sorry, I'll try and work on it." WTF?

Very bad experience. I feel that I was scammed. My car stop starting , although lights, headlights and radio were turning on normally. I got it towed to Goodyear. First thing I was told was about the $105 dollars diagnosis fee. Nothing I could do about that. After a few hours, I received a call to tell me that I need a new starter $431.56 before tax. I thought it was a little pricey but I need the car and authorized the repair. After the starter was changed, I went and pick up the car. I drove 5 miles to a store and the car stop starting again. I have to get the car towed back to Goodyear. After further analysis, they only told me that the only thing they could find was some rusted connections that they cleaned and the car was starting normally.Briefly,$105 dollars for a diagnosis fee and they couldn't see a rusted connection in the first place.$431.56 for a new starter that now I truly think my car didn't need. (A simple cleaning of connections would have solve the problem).I decided to check the price to replace the starter on RepairPal. To my surprise, the highest estimate to my vehicle in Madison was $366.I'm not coming back to Goodyear.

Great service! I cannot get over how helpful they were. Store manager Polly was eager to assit me in any way she could and definitely went above and beyond to do everything in her power to make sure I got what I needed at a price I could afford. I called in and she had all the paperwork and everything done already to ensure that my car was cared for as soon as possible plus she saved me serious money. I left feeling satsified with the service and fair price, something that I never feel at other mechanic shops. I will be recommending Polly and the Madison Capitol store to everyone I know with a car.

I had a confirmed appointment booked this morning for an oil change. I booked online, got an email confirmation of my appointment. I went at my scheduled time to get service done and was told they don't have availability to do an oil change. I let the person know I had already scheduled my appointment and they let me know it could not be done. The desk person was at least polite about it, but feeling super disappointed in the opportunity cost of scheduling somewhere else.
