Had a very good experience at Goben, particularly with Shane Sorenson at the East side location. Came in frustrated with car problems on one of our current vehicles. Shane listened to what we we were looking for and helped us find a great vehicle. Very appreciative of his experience, honesty and knowledge. We would definitely recommend working with Shane and Goben Cars when looking for your next vehicle.

My mom & I were out car shopping and not having much luck. We stopped at Goben car & Mitch came right outside to greet us! We test drove a few cars but wasn t quite in love with anything yet. We went to leave for lunch & my mom s car broke down!!! Mitch was quick to grab two of the repairmen & they jumped right in fixing it on the spot for us! During that time we tried financials with Grayson & Mitch for a 2021 Jetta Volkswagen! I was approved & am now the proud owner of this beauty! They were really awesome throughout the whole experience & would 10/10 recommend. Another favorite of ours was Leo the store s mascot (Donovan s puppy) We loved the family atmosphere & there need to find me a safe reliable car! If I am ever in the car market again, I know where I would go!

Went in to check out f150's and they hit the nail on the head. Ended up talking to Jack who made the whole deal pleasant, easy, and very professional! Would definitely recommend these guys! Go talk to Jack! He'll hook you up!

I worked with Shane and it was his first day. He did excellent with my uncle and myself from the very beginning. He was very courteous and knowledgeable about what we discussed, and even though it s literally the first car he sold here at this company, he was very friendly and helpful with listening to what i specifically asked for and to stick within my price range. He did wonderful! Also, I figured this whole process would take forever . He was actually very quick and with it he got us in and out rather quickly. I am a very satisfied customer! I do believe I will be returning here for my next vehicle!

Got a car a week ago and the experience was fine. They buy auction cars and get them ready to sell and seem to make good money doing it. They claim their margins are low but I doubt it. Price was fair for what I got.Then it rained a few days ago. The sunroof on the car leaks badly. Soaked part of the headliner down the rear pillars and onto/into the rear seat. Not inches of water but enough to soak a backpack I had sitting on the seat overnight.I spoke to the service manager Rodney. As knowledgeable as I'm sure he is, he's also comes across as condescending and arrogant. He hinted that it could be operator error and that the car didn't leak at all while they had it. There had been a water stain on the rear passenger pillar when I went in to see it. He kept talking about the problem as though it were hypothetical until they see it and make sure it's real. He speaks defensively and doesn't seek to understand. I saw the same communication issues between him and other staff members while I was there.I live in Milwaukee and driving out to Madison to have it looked at is inconvenient. Goben would charge me $200 if the work cost $500 or more for something that shouldn't be an issue with a car that they sell. I got an extended warranty that I can use to get the work done anywhere for less than what the seller would charge me.It's not a terrible dealership, but make no mistake they are out to make money and will not own up if they aren't legally required to after the payment goes through. Service is lacking.All that needed to be said to me was that if the sunroof does have a leak that it would be taken care of at no cost to me and sorry for the inconvenience. Now I'll be taking it to someone I would rather give my money to. Be skeptical in your dealings with Goben Cars East.

CONCERN RESOLVEDUPDATE TO MY REVIEW: Don the Deal Man Goben called me personally to apologize for how my complaint was being handled. He took responsibility for the unprofessional reaction by the sales manager and came to a reasonable agreement. I m sure the car business is a tough business and I appreciate Don taking the time to resolve this with us in such a professional manner.

I had a great car buying experience at Goben. I ll admit, that hasn t always been the case. In fact, after my last experience at Goben I swore I would never return. However, Joe G. made our purchase efficient and enjoyable. No tactics. No pressure. He was patient, professional, knowledgeable and clearly realizes that you can make a profit without the gamesmanship that makes car buying a pain. Matt S. And Scott were also cool partners who demonstrated patience, flexibility and friendly customer service. I assumed that car buying always has to suck. I guess things are changing.

Great selection of cars at this location. Mid range prices for SUVS with a majority under 20k.Jack helped us and was very informative and personable. Worked through the process and it was pretty efficient. Was in and out within an hour.Second time buying a car, first time used. Feel comfortable with the process and will highly recommend Jack and Goben to others looking for a vehicle

This was my daughter's second purchase here at Goben. Mitch was so helpful and took time so she understood everything. Really felt like we got the best deal. As a plus, the owner even came over to congratulate her. Goben is our go to car dealership.

Goben was awesome I was helped by Kierre. It took a while as I was having some issues on my end but he was nothing but polite and helpful as were the management. He never gave up until we were satisfied and made sure we got what we liked and could afford. I will be back as soon as I can get an upgrade.

Eric was very helpful with the process of getting a new car. Even was nice enough to help us outside of work hours on his personal phone. The car wasn t even on the lot yet, but kept us updated on everything going on. Did a good job with the sale.

I worked with Jack and he was super friendly and helpful. He was on top of his game. He didn't pressure me into any one vehicle and suggested more that fit the safety and specs I was looking for for my family an dhow much I drove. He was incredibly intelligent and informative. I am greatly appreciative of his help and now I am a proud owner of a new vehicle. And it's a very quick process from selling to leaving in the new car! Highly recommend Goben Cars.

This used to be a 5 star but I had to come fix that. They changed my oil before selling me a vehicle and who ever did it over tightened the filter as well as not putting any oil on the seal. Took me 3 hours to do a simple 20 minute job. I broke a socket trying to get the bolt off to drain the oil because that was over tightened as well. All and all idk who the hell is doing the oil changes but this was absolutely absurd. I ve done many oil changes on far older vehicles with no problems. Always been a piece of cake. No reason I should have to mangle my oil filter to preform a simple oil change. The service managers advice was to get it towed lol. I ended up winning after hours of pure frustration. Look at the rest of their lower star reviews and you won t be surprised.

Sold us a car with a lot of issues like we found out.After several checks the problem remains and we can t drive our car.We really appreciate how much the Service guys try to help out being understanding of the situation but they are limited in their power.The manager is not professional and not solution oriented. Hanging up the phone is never a good manner.Maybe if he would imitate the attitude of his Service workers Rodney and Gideon this place would have more success.Very disappointing

Worst experience will never go back!The ONLY decent thing is my car hasent fallwn apart and for the most part seems in decent condition.I love that they make you post these 5 star reviews before you leave. I geuss thats the only way they will ever get that high of a review.Not only are they HORRIBLE about returning phone calls with any information.they promise you all sorts of things to get you to buy. It took almost 2 month's to recieve the touch up paint. I was told there was 3 free oil changes woth purchase only to be told they dont even do that at there service department. Then the battery they put in blew up so that needed replacement right after we bought it but figured that could have ben an opps right.. well the whole thing has been nothing shirt of a nightmare. Go here of you want to br lle treated like dirt

Eric did a wonderful job getting us a nice car that just got on the market that same day. He told us about the whole process as we were waiting for the approval and was very patient with our 2 kiddos. He did an amazing job. I definitely recommend Goben if you re in the market of a new car.

Helpful team and great service. Nick and Grayson were both incredibly helpful and quick in finding a new vehicle. Our first vehicle deal didn t go through, but they were able to find a better option for me the second time around. Definitely recommend!

I purchased my new Car from Mitchell. He is an outstanding salesman. He is easy to work with, listening to me, not pushy at all and going above and beyond. Buying a car is nerve wracking, but I felt that Mitchell is trustworthy and made the entire process easy for me. I have already recommended going to Gobben and asking for him, to 2 people I know, who are shopping for cars.
