I have been treated badly at some other service stations on the northside, but the people at Dutch's are always honest and informative. If they don't pick up the phone, leave a text message. I always get a response within 24 hours.

I had an amazing experience at Dutch's - I brought my car in for an inspection before driving cross-country, knowing there were a few things wrong with it. Turned out there was a lot more than I even knew, but I was given quotes for everything that was wrong and the crew at Dutch's helped me to conclude that the work needed would probably not be worth it given the value of my car. They then gave recommendations of trustworthy dealers in Wisconsin to shop for a used car, as well as certain makes and models that would be reliable and suitable for me and my preferences. Such a pleasant experience, would definitely recommend Dutch's!!

Referred to Dutch's by my daughter when my check engine light came on while visiting from FL. Wow!! Friendly, caring, courteous, prompt, professional, knowledgable, fair prices. In fifteen minutes had diagnosis, thoughtful explanations, options, what if estimates, and use of my car. Shop is organized and clean, with a very sweet dog to boot. Crystal is an amazing woman. Will never go anywhere else!!

I trusted Crystal immediately upon dropping off my car, and that wasn't misplaced. She was very honest about what she'd be doing and what it would cost, and gave detailed recommendations for further maintenance. I had an amazing experience and won't be looking for another shop anytime soon!

I took my car in to Dutch's to fix a bearing on the wheels that was triggering a sensor in my car to go off, and I also asked for them to take a look at a clicking sound in the engine. Nan was incredible transparent throughout the whole process about not only the cost but also about why it was important to the car. She took a look at the engine and told me exactly what was wrong, explaining she didn't do the kind of work needed but was happy to refer me to people she trusted, as well as a estimate at the cost. Through the whole process I felt taken care of, and I feel empowered going forward seeking this engine repair. I cannot recommend Dutch's highly enough - Madison is lucky to have them!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Look no further for honest mechanics. For the first time I felt I was spoken to like a human and not being ripped off. They are so honest, no BS. They'll tell you how it is and make you feel respected as a customer. I'll never take my car elsewhere again after working with them twice within the last couple weeks. I heard so many good things about this place, and have made countless efforts to getting work done on my vehicles but, no one ever answers the phone and when leaving multiple voicemails no one ever calls back. I understand they are short staffed but a call back to willing customer even if it's to say they can't do something is better than just ignoring them.

Very poor performance left my car overnight in evening got called from them those 2 Nano and Crystal couldn t fixed my car right still have Check engine light I prefer not even go there or not to be bother them all of are Scams and Fraud go to some where else s.

Dutch's Auto Service did a great job with a cheap, quick and honest brake repair. They were honest on what needed to be changed and what could wait for the future. The only complaint can be that they only had availabilities a bit over a week out, so just make sure you give a bit of time to take your car in. I brought my car in and the repair itself was quick. I will definitely be coming back if I have an issue in the future.Service: Brakes

Dutch's Auto Service is the best auto shop in town! They are speedy, reliable, and fairly priced. Perhaps most importantly, they are trustworthy and I never have to worry about them recommending 1,001 things I didn't know I needed to get me back on the road. The owners, Nan and Crystal and total BOSSES. Everyone that works at the shop is awesome - including the cute pup in the lobby. This is my go-to for everything from oil changes to surprise repairs. The customer service is great and I feel really comfortable in the space, which isn t always true as a woman in an auto shop. The staff are knowledgeable and take the time to make sure you know what s happening to your car. Fair prices too! I ll be a customer here as long as I live in Madison!

Charged me for parts and labor I didn t need and didn t fix the problem I came in for. I went to Dutch s for clicking sound when turning in the front of my car when I first moved back to Madison. They replaced a wheel bearing, got the car back with the clicking sound still there and they told me that I needed the other wheel bearing replaced. However the reason for the clicking was actually my sway bar which had a very obvious large crack in it. I have no idea how they could ve missed this as the crack was extremely easily visible when on a lift. I m not sure if they didn t listen to my concerns, had a very poor inspection or it was incompetence but my experience with Dutch s was the only time I confidently felt I was getting ripped off from a mechanic.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I ve had my car s my oil changed and other services at Dutch s for a number of years now. Nan & Crystal are awesome owners, & they and the team know their stuff! If there is a repair or type of service they don t provide, Nan has given me excellent recommendations to other local folks and it s worked out great. Most recently, they went above and beyond to remedy a parking brake issue, one in which even the dealership wasn t solving and had overlooked. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to have such a transparent, trustworthy and reasonable place to take my car. Plus, between their sense of humor, straight-talking ways, and Gabby, the adorable dog in site, it often makes for an entertaining visit as well.

Thanks to my daughter-in-law, I have started going to Dutch's, all the way from the very far west side of Madison! But it is truly worth it. They are efficient, take your car in at the appointed time, and have it out MUCH faster than any large dealership.The most amazing thing happened the last time I was there, about three weeks ago. First of all, my bill was really low, and then became even lower, as they realized that they had over-charged me last time, and gave me that credit!!! Now who does that?? This place was awesome. Had an oil change and new plugs done. I can t believe how cheap and fast they were. The women I talked to and dealt with were so friendly and seemed very knowledgeable (and funny). I overheard a conversation with another customer and they were doing a great job explaining everything to the young lady who admitted she knew absolutely nothing about cars. I have complete confidence in this place and they do not push unnecessary work. I totally trust this place. They definitely earned my business in the future. I was recently referred to Dutch's Auto Service by a family member who raved about the amazing service and friendly atmosphere. I easily set up an appointment by phone, and when I arrived, they got my car in the shop on time. Within 45 minutes, my oil was changed, my tires rotated, fluids topped and I was given a quick synopsis of the future of my brakes. Everyone was extremely friendly, there was no pressure to have any additional work done, and the prices were extremely fair. I will definitely be bringing my car back for all my auto service needs and will sing the praises of Dutch's to all my friends and family! Thank you!

A coworker told me about Dutch's a number of years ago and I have patronized their shop for services on a number of occasions over the years, as I have a Mazda that is 12 years old and still going strong. I am so happy for this place, as I always feel confident taking my vehicle here. Great service, great pricing, honest and skilled technicians and I couldn't ask for a better place. I've never had a mechanic I could actually trust, until I found Dutches. They are as honest as they come! I brought in an estimate for repairs that a dealership gave me (they wanted 4,000$ for misc. work). After Nan checked my car and reviewed all the concerns with me, she helped me prioritize what needed to be done - one of the more expensive items that the dealership recommended wasn't even necessary to repair! I've gone back for oil changes, tires, brakes, and everything in between. Do yourself a favor and make Dutches your go-to mechanic!! You won't regret it.

We've been to Dutch's multiple times and always have been satisfied with the results. Prices are great, employees do an excellent job of explaining mechanics without talking down to you, and they are always quick. We trust Dutch's so much that we make the hour round-trip drive from the West Side just to use their services. Could not recommend them more.

I suspected I had a tie rod issue and called Dutch's to make an appointment. The earliest they could get me in was a little more than a week from then, but they told me if at any point I felt unsafe driving I could drop my car off and they'd try to work on it in between appointments. I ended up dropping my car off a week before my appointment. They fixed it that same day. I continue to be in awe of their transparency, prompt work, and superior customer service. It can be difficult to find a mechanic you trust, and I'm confident Dutch's will be that mechanic for you, as they are for me. I highly recommend them.

I highly recommend Dutch s! We mostly spoke with Nan but everyone who works there is great. I love that it s a business run by women! They are knowledgeable and the best service we ve had in WI. I have had a lot of (bad) experience with other repair shops that can me condescending to me just because I m female and finally I feel like I m at a place that will treat me like a competent adult regardless of my gender or the way I look. Thank you Dutch s! You ve gained a loyal customer and I m glad we found you.

There is a reason why their reviews are so high, this is truly a great garage. It's the kind of place you hope to find to bring your car. They are always great at being up front about cost and what they can or can't do. If your car has a problem or needs something that they don't do there, they'll help you find a place that will. Nan will take the time to explain to you what is going on with your car on the phone or in person. Their prices are extremely reasonable, and they won't nickel and dime you. They'll do the necessary repair work, and then advise a few things you may want done soon. Honestly, the only negative is that they are so good that they book up fast. I am glad I found this garage and highly recommend you check it out.

This place is really great along with the humans that run it. I had a punctured tire and took it to a near by chain shop to get it repaired and the person at that chain tried severely over charging me for tires. I did some shopping around and talked to a friend of mine, who also owns a body shop, and he recommended me to Dutch s. They got me in right away, we talked about my budget and what I use my vehicle for, and then the same day they hooked me up with all new, AFFORDABLE, tires. I will be going back to them for all of my future service needs. I can't recommend them enough, seriously such great people and such great work.

A completely honest shop that won't let you fix things other shops tried to upsell you. Thank you for saving our family $500 worth of unnecessary repairs that the Toyota dealership tried to scam us out of.

We ve been exclusively going to Dutch s for years, and it is always a top notch experience. They are fast, friendly, fair-priced, upfront and honest, and educate us about our cars so that we can make well-informed decisions about our car repairs. Plus, if they don t offer a particular service, they have great local connections with other repair shops that they trust. We are Dutch s customers for life! <3

A co-worker recommended Dutch's. One of the things that appealed to me was the fact that it's owned by two women. After having my car worked on today (needed a new exhaust line), I experienced first-hand what so many people are raving about. Every member of the shop was incredibly friendly and informative. I waited for my repair for about two-hours (didn't mind as I had work from the day job to focus on), and during that time the staff chatted with me here and there, I had a cute, friendly dog to pet occasionally, and when it came time to pay I had a significantly smaller bill than what I was quoted with an additional repair that was noticed by the mechanic who installed my exhaust line. My prior mechanic never noticed the ongoing problem, but Dutch's was thorough and only notified me of what was necessary to fix at a very reasonable cost. I've found my new auto service for any future needs. Highly recommended.

My first visit at Dutch's was amazing! I had them do a general check up on a few things that I thought were wrong with my car. They were very receiving to my concerns and easy to talk to. After about 30/45min they not only diagnosed my car, but even made some little tweeks at no extra cost. They wrote down, in order of importance, everything that needed to be fixed, described in detail how the parts worked and what was wrong with them, and gave me an honest quote on each fix! No gimmicks, just some good honest help. I have never felt so welcome at an auto shop and am actually excited to go back and start getting my car back into shape!Side perk, they have coloring books and a cute pup in the waiting room!
