I needed new winter tires on my vehicle. I was planning on 4, but they called me and said the front tires still had half their life, and suggested I rotate the front tires to the back, and put the Firestone Weather Grips on the front. So, they saved me a lot of money, and were able to do the job the same day. A snowstorm hit the next day, so I was glad to get those tires on fast, as I was plowed in. So, really good service, good prices and fast. I recommend, for any automotive need.

Everyone was so helpful. Our car has fairly low mileage, but is old. The engine is in good shape, but we needed work done on the rusty parts to keep it road safe. The staff came in during a blizzard to work on it and order the parts. They were fair and honest. We appreciate them very much!

I have relied on Capital Tire for my auto service since I moved to Madison, WI in 2016. The service has been excellent and the staff has made good recommendations on all matters where I had questions or concerns. The staff is very courteous and highly competent. I have whole heartedly recommended Capital Tire's service to others who were seeking an auto maintenance/repair service.

I ve been going to Capitol Tire and Service twice a year for almost 5 years now. The first time I went in looking for winter tires they were amazing doing research for me and going over the options with me. For a small fee they store whichever set of tires I am not using at their shop which is a huge help for me not having anywhere at home to store them. They also give me a complimentary ride to and from work when I leave my with them for the day. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, I highly recommend them!

I can't say enough good things about Capitol Tire and Service! Our Audi needed a water pump replacement and everywhere I called was booked out for weeks. When I spoke with Capitol they were able to schedule me for the following week. They then called back to say that they were running ahead and could get me in sooner, so I dropped it off that same day! When I arrived I had planned to sit and wait and instead they gave me a complimentary ride home. They had the work completed by the morning the following day! Their exceptional customer service is rare, but so appreciated and definitely gained them a customer going forward.

I came in for an inspection of a used car I was considering to buy. They had a comfortable waiting room and were done in an hour and a half. They gave a thorough inspection with photos, and included a test drive. Their report was printed so I have it for future reference. I'll be returning for service.

I had a flat tire in our parking garage and I didn t know how to go about fixing it. Bert drove to me and brought a portable air pump to get tire drivable. He went way beyond a great customer service experience! So impressed and tire was fixed quickly as well! Thank you Capitol Tire!

While I maintain a healthy wariness when it comes using tire and auto repair services in general, I trusted a couple reviews that were both favorable and recommending Capital Tire for service. The gentleman I approached for an appointment and contrary to what I expect generally regarding car service, was not only friendly and polite but made sure that I, in need of haste, was able to get my work done by the following morning. I received a text 8:30 a.m. the next day letting me know my car was ready.I know they were busy and I can not recommend them highly enough. I thank thank them again here for the prompt service that allowed me to go on with no delay and let me add the cost reasonable. Thank you Capital Tire staff.

Service here is straight forward. We had an ignition issue, they fixed that issue.I like this place because I feel like I can trust their mechanics to do a top notch job and turn around time has been reasonable. They aren t trying to take more customers than they can handle.

One of my tires blew out soon after we had left Madison for a road trip - scary, but glad it happened so close to home! Capitol Tire & Service took my car in the same day and they replaced all 4 tires and the front brake system, all of which definitely needed replacing! Everyone there was so kind and they even offered to drive us home and back. I found the prices to be reasonable and they did not push me to do anything with my car that didn't need to be done. Less than 48 hours after our flat tire, we were out on the road again for our trip. We went to the mountains of South Dakota and Wyoming and were so thankful to have new tires and brakes - in the remote mountains, you definitely need a reliable car! Thank you so much to Capitol Tire & Service for taking our car in with no notice and making it road-safe again.Services: Tires, Brakes, Auto tire replacement, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto brake replacement

I've been coming here since my first car died over 10 years ago. Since then I went against their advise and bought a car that required a lot of service here and they did an exceptional job keeping the car rolling safely. Since then I bought a new car and had a hiatus of a couple year but it was great to finally be back to see familiar faces. I think the most important thing I can write about Capitol Tire is that I have unwavering trust in their customer service and work. Thanks for being there for all the years of service. I know Sean is retired now but kudos to Tom, Caleb and Mike! And I don't know any of the mechanics but kudos to them as well.

Have used them for maintenance in the past as well as for a pre-purchase inspection before buying a used car from craigslist. They were very thorough and knowledgeable. Without their expertise I would not have had the peace of mind necessary to be able to make the used car purchase. I'm so happy to know I can count on them. I recommend them without reservation.

I took my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee in because I was concerned about my coolant and wanted the sludge flushed out. After being charged 252 and getting my vehicle back the first picture is before the second picture is after. There is still plenty of sludge it's not even topped off and I'm wondering what I just paid $252 for. Going to have to take it in elsewhere to make sure there is nothing wrong.

Overall the staff that I talked to were great. Only three stars though because I paid 7 dollars for my key fob to be fixed/synced to my car and that wasn t done. My guess is they replaced the battery but didn t sync it.

Excellent service as usual. Always prompt to get your vehicle in as scheduled, keeping you informed of any additional repairs that should be taken care of. A fantastically service-oriented business! Welcoming, professional, and friendly from the moment I walked in. I had a concern about the condition of my tire after my dealership suggested that I might want to replace it, and Capitol Tire put my mind at ease. They even noticed that my key fob battery was running low on battery and offered to replace it. While waiting, I heard the service reps helping others in the same pleasant manner they had worked with me.Another sign of a great business - they encouraged me to post a review *without* first ensuring that it would be a good one (their confidence is justified).Though I live on the east side of Madison, I'll be going out of my way to return to this business, and will recommend them to others.Service: Tires

Great and so fast! had my car towed there recently. They said they could look at it within a week (already 2 weeks better than my dealership), and completely fixed it the next day! Always helpful. Go out of their way to get the job done. Work on all makes.Occasional mistakes but always willing to make good. Will look for for surplus parts rather than new to help save money if you have an older model
