Avoid at all costs. Bought a scooter off him 3 weeks ago. I get home and realize its leaking oil. He told me bring it on. I did. Picked it up and it still leaked. Took it in again, still leaked. Repeat one more time. At this point I acknowledged the definition of insanity and requested a refund and he says its a minor issue so no. Fortunately I paid with a credit card so I will be filing a dispute.

Nice guy, very to the point. He came to my apartment and looked at my scooter same day I called him. He couldn t get it to start so he picked it up the next day. It needed the carburetor cleaned, and it has been working great since. He told me if it acts up again in the next month he will fix it for free. It was a very reasonable price and fast turnaround. I think a lot of the bad reviews are coming from misunderstandings and high expectations. He is not a dealership, it is just one guy working out of a small garage.

If you are a college student looking to get some work done on your moped, I recommend "Campus Gas Scooters & Small Engine Service". Duke, the owner, is very easy to work with and gets right to the point. Don't expect anything flashy here, the experience is nothing like going to a dealership or anything like that. If you are confused about where the shop is actually located (I was), I've attached a screenshot from Google Maps and circled his shop. Duke's shop is above Red Rock and that garage door is where you can enter. Once you arrive, call Duke and let him know you are there. He will then meet you down there to let you in. When it comes to payment, make sure you have cash (or Venmo) as Duke doesn't accept credit/debit cards. Hope this helps anyone looking to get their moped repaired/looked at!

If I could give him zero I would. He quoted me 15 a tire on basice ride on electric scooters I only needed one tore done on 3 scootersNo communication for days then when he does give me a day I picked my scooters up so dirty and all reflectors damage along with scuffs all over them. Covered in black mechanical suit and laying not on there kick stands but on top of each other. Then he tells me noooo look around you can't see no damage pieces like I was supposed to trust that on all 3 of my scooters in a small area. Plus one was still flat so he told me to leave it there he forgot to air it up and then a week later pushes me to pick it up after he left my new products that I sell in the worst form. I should have known when his shop I'd in a junk yard full of junk and depri and he never contacted after I dropped of. Terrible person Terrible work DO NOT DO ITI had a hard time finding a shop to do small scooter repair but he is trashNever asked me if the price increase was ok nothing charged me way over than he quoted and I should have never paid considering he damaged my 3 scooters and took no responsibility but let the covered in black piled on each other and ALL the reflectors were broken with no competition.Do NOT DO IT

We took our scooter to Duke because he was the only one open on a Monday. If your looking a fancy shop, this isn't it! If you want your stuff fixed at a reasonable price in a decent timetable, good spot.

Had my scooter for over two weeks. Said there was a part needed for it. Never told me what part. Believe he didn't work on it but for the half hour when I showed up after not being satisfied with him hanging up on me saying multiple times he'd call me. Scooter leaked out coolant when he was done "fixing". Receipt was for $150. Took my credit card number saying he was offline. My card was charged $195. Then that sum was returned. He sent me a text asking how much my scooter repair was. I told him not to charge my card as my scooter was not fixed and wouldn't start. He replied "ok", then charged my card $158.25, forcing me to file a dispute and told me not to worry about it via text.

This guy is probably the worst individual that I have had to deal with. Do not go to him. In the past seven months, my moped has been in his shop for about 5 of them. He will fix my moped, over charge me rates that don't even make sense, and my moped won't start two weeks later. He fixed my starter cable, charged me $160, broke two weeks later, charged me another $85, then two weeks later it wouldn't start, charged me another huge prIce. Then he told me if it doesn't work within a month, he would fix it no charge. Shockingly, it started leaking gas and not starting two weeks later and he ironically stopped answering my phone calls. When I tried to confront him with my frustration about the pricing and about my moped continuously not working, he is extremely rude, disrespectful, interrupts you and does not let you speak. Obviously, I do not recommend him. Terrible businessman.

TLDR: Owner didn't even bother to try to fix what I brought it to him for, he isn't around his shop regularly during open hours, didn't provide an invoice, and I expect will refuse to refund my money when i take it to one of his competitors to be repaired competently. Was called last week and told to pick up my bike. Told him I would be there Monday morning to get it. It's Monday morning and his shop is "open" but the doors are locked and he isn't answering the phone.I don't have much free time. Extremely disappointed to have my time wasted and be charged for it.Edit: Owner did not even attempt the repair I brought it in for: It would not start with the electric starter. Instead they replaced the carb, which I am happy to pay for, and said the kick start is fine. When I replaced the battery, the thing the owner said would have the electric start working again, still no luck. Owner picked it up from my driveway, kickstarted it, drove it around, and announced that the relay was bad and that he would "let me know if he got one". After Googling it turns oiut the starter relay is a stock, $15 part that this guy couldn't be bothered to order, never bothered to check in the first place, and definitely worked last season because it working was part of the description I gave the owner when I dropped my moped off and described the symptoms.

Popped a tire and needed my moped to get to class the next day. The owner promptly picked it up from my house, fixed the tire, and gave me an oil change. Had it fixed and ready to be picked up the same day! Awesome service and reasonable price

Duke is awesome!! Moped wouldn't start and it was an electrical issue, not just the battery. He came and picked it up right away after me calling and had it fixed and running again a day later. Great price as well for the work. Highly recommend!!

Brought my moped in a week ago (Friday) since it wasn't starting reliably. Turns out it needed a new battery and a general tune up, he had it ready by the following Wednesday, was flexible on when I could pick it up (let me pick it up today, Friday) and it works like a gem now. Better than when I got it actually (used 1989 Honda elite) He charged me $85, which was way better than I was expecting.

I brought it in and asked him specifically to let me know what was wrong with it and how much it would cost before he fixed it. He did not give me an estimate and fixed it without authorization (which is illegal) - he cleaned the corroborator. I brought it back to my place to try to sell it on Craigslist. I had a buyer and when I started it up to give it to her, it had the same problem as it did before I gave it to this guy! I didn't sell the moped and now need to bring it somewhere else. DO NOT BRING YOUR MOTOR VEHICLES HERE!!

Great experience getting my tire replaced. Great price, and while the operation is bare bones, the service was fast and satisfactory! Will be going back should any issues arise!

I asked him to reattach my muffler as it fell off when a bolt came out. He welded 2 rusty pieces together and charged me $170. That obviously only held for about a month. Drive the extra mile and go somewhere else.

Not a very friendly owner. Customer service is poor. He has a case on him with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) regarding damages he caused and tried to cover up...refused to fix them and make right. There s better local businesses to support!

This guy knows what he is doing. He speaks to the customers in a way to help you understand what is best for your vehicle. He is also very reasonable. He will let you know the best option for your vehicle.

He gets the job done. He may not be super friendly, but he s a mechanic not a therapist. Fair pricing as well.
