The guys are always very helpful, even helped to parking lot diagnose my bad battery 10minutes before close on a Saturday! I really appreciated their help when I was in a pinch and I always refer them to everybody I know!

I bought a new Toro Snowmaster 824QXE just over two years ago. I absolutely love the ease of use and performance of this snowblower. Last night while blowing heavy snow and ice the motor still ran but the wheels didn t drive or the snow propellor turn. I took my Toro to L&S for repair. They not only fixed it the same day, they also got approval of warranty even though I had actually passed the warranty deadline. Excellent service, and I have it back in time to handle the storm coming on Friday!

Purchased my X304 from L&R years and years ago. Every year after year my mower goes in for servicing and storage. How nice it is to have space in the garage at winter. And perfectly ready to go for the year! Highly suggested using this service.Every year L&R team hooks me up and if I have a problem they have corrected it for me right away.Very pleased and my neighbor now follows the same schedule with their mower.

Made the drive up on Labor Day hoping to see an Exmark Zero Turn out on the lot that I could look at. While my wife and I were looking Steve Jr actually came out and offered to get the keys if I wanted to drive it. He was there working on paperwork and said he didn t want to ignore us. Over and above on a holiday. If it turns out my mower isn t repairable and I need to buy, L&R is going to be my first stop.

I had a phenomenal experience purchasing my lawn mower from L&R! I was looking for a specific model that no one stocked, and Steve Jr earned my business with his prompt communication, taking the time to educate me to ensure I got the right unit, and setting reasonable expectations throughout the process. Jared set up and delivered my mower; and was extremely helpful in making sure I felt confident in how to take care of it.I usually don t write super long reviews, but these guys deserve it. They truly conduct business in a way you just don t see anymore. I appreciate their candor and willingness to deal with a noob like me who asked a thousand questions and they nailed each one. Don t waste your time buying at a big box store, go to L&R. They will work harder to earn your business, and like me, you will be glad you found them.

I recently purchased a portable Generac generator from a different dealer. When I took it out of the box and followed the starting instructions, it did not start. I followed the troubleshooting instructions in the manual, and still nothing. I called support and they had me do the same procedures. Still nothing. They gave me the numbers for a few of their dealers that could fix it under warranty. The 3 places that I called would not do the work. At this point I did not have much faith in the product or the company and took it back to Menards, they refused to take it back! Can you say "customer service?" They can not! I called support back and told them of my adventures and they gave me one more number, for L&R.WOW!!! I dropped it off expecting it back in 2-3 weeks. I received a text at 8:07 saying that it was done!!! THANK you STEVE!! He made Generac look good. If you ever need anything for your yard, BUY IT FROM L&R!! Buy Local!Roy

I bought a John Deere lawn tractor with several accessories and had a great experience. I continue to buy parts and seek advice through them. Very friendly, very helpful, only small issue are the limited hours of operation - I find it hard to get there sometimes.

Great experience with a great small business. I usually hate shopping for stuff like this because I get frustrated quickly when a salesman is aggressively trying to get a sale out of me. L&R gave me the space and time to browse at my leisure which was such a breath of fresh air. I started my lawnmower shopping at other stores, and was getting annoyed with salesmen hovering over me asking me if I needed help. Aggressive salesmen are what make shopping for products like this suave an aggravating experience.When I did have questions, they stopped what they were doing behind the counter, and walked me around the lot/show room, showing me which lawnmowers would possibly suit my needs. There wasn t any aggressive attempts to up-sale me either, which was definitely appreciated.I ended up getting a John Deere S240 Riding Lawn Tractor ( which they delivered to me the NEXT DAY!) to replace my Troy-Built Bronco, and it was like switching from a go-kart with 3 wheels to a Mercedes. It cuts and drives like a dream.There are other things that made this experience a positive one, but I have to keep this reasonably short. My initial impression of this business is overwhelmingly positive. This experience has made me confident that if I DO have any issues with the tractor down the line, that I will be in good hands.You should give this small, family owned business serious consideration if your looking for a lawnmower. As of this writing, they have a customer for life.

One year ago I purchased a new Toro zero turn for my church from Steve Jr and he was so good at helping make the right decision!!! I trust L&R and have used them for the repair numerous times on my home Toro as well. If they commit toy a repair date and time, they either hit it exactly or they call me early to say its done. That is truly reliably service. Thanks L&R

Steve(Sr) and the staff support were great. I had purchased a Husqvarna product from somewhere else and when I got no support I turned to L&R. They treated me with respect and were very knowledgeable. They even went out of their way based on our conversation and found a warranty item that needed replacing at no cost to me. I will be going out of my way to purchase and repair my lawn equipment from L&R.

I've purchased four John Deere tractors/mowers from L&R over the years. Pricing has always been highly competitive. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful team in place at L&R. Questions are answered based upon many years of experience with the products they sell and service. Parts and accessories are most often in stock and immediately available. Great to have a resource like L&R in our local community.

About 6 years ago I purchased a home in Sussex, although I have been working in Sussex for the last twenty years. I often drove past the L&R store.The new house has an extremely long driveway and I knew I needed a good snowblower. I decided to stop in at the L&R and I m pleased I did. I got hooked up with a Toro Power Max, and it s a great machine. I had a problem with bad gas after the first season. The guys at L&R took care of the problem free of charge. They also recommended using the K100 fuel stabilizer and I ve had no problems the last 6 years.The house came with a husqvarna lawn tractor. It needed service, so I took it to L&R. They fixed it fast and very reasonably.After a few years I decided to replace the lawn tractor and again I decided to hit up L&R. The guys there asked me a few questions about my lawn and recommended a nice unit based on that info. I ended up buying another husqvarna lawn tractor. It s been a good mower although it s had two problems. Both of the front wheel welds broke about a year apart. L&R took care of the problem with no cost or hassle to myself. The tractor was under manufacturing warranty but it was nice not having to deal with that process myself.My most recent purchase was a husqvarna chainsaw. The price was the same or better then the big box stores or Amazon.You can t miss buying or servicing your equipment at L&R.

I had a yard tractor that was running rough and would no longer go into reverse. The guys at L&R picked up the tractor and quickly diagnosed the issues which turned out to be a bad carburetor and a transmission that was full of grass. A new carburetor was installed and all of the grass clogging the transmission was removed. They also installed new fuel and air filters since both needed replacement. They whole process from pick up to drop off took about a week which included shipment of the new carburetor from the warehouse. Overall, I am very pleased with the work done, and I found the cost of the repairs to be reasonable. The tractor now runs and drives great.I am finally able to go in reverse again, and there is no longer an issue with the tractor creeping when the brake is not applied. I would not hesitate to have L&R service my tractor or snowblower in the future.

I had a really great experience looking at L&R's John Deere garden tractor models and discussing the features of each with Randy S. He was patient and helpful, generous with his time and set me up with tractor I am excited to use this spring. Randy delivered the tractor himself and gave a refresher on operation and maintenance and made sure I took it for a ride while he was there. L&R impressed on me they care about their customer's satisfaction!

Took my Scotts tractor by John Deere to L&R Lawn Equipment for a tune up and to replace the two small front tires (actual tires--not the small rollers attached to the mower deck) and to check everything in general because the mower is getting old, purchased in 2000. It has been a great mower. L&R is listed as the service provider for John Deere.I initially contacted L&R around May 6 and was told they schedule tractor pickups 3 weeks out so that when they pick it up, they should be ready to work on it so I scheduled a pick up for May 26. I expected to hear from a mechanic within a few days and waited 7 days to hear from someone from L&R but didn't hear from anyone so I called for status. They hadn't looked at it yet, but planned to call me later that day or the next. The mechanic called me the next day with a list of items that needed repair and would cost $637.93. I was a little frustrated by the delay.When the tractor was returned to me, it started okay but when going around a tree, the steering wheel jammed and the new tires locked in place causing the mower to skid around the tree, kicking up divotsand leaving behind a smooth track of dirt. It was very difficult to get the steering wheel to unlock and return to normal use. This happened several times. Obviously, the mechanic did not test drive the mower after repairs. The problem would've been too obvious not to catch. At this point, I lost trust in L&R.So, I called a friend who discovered the tires were catching on the mower deck and the muffler wasn't working and was very loud. He replaced the muffler (which had a broken baffle). He noticed the mounting pins were reversed and turned the wrong way. My friend was very surprised at the cost of repairs done by L&R.I am not as upset about the cost of the repairs as much as disappointed that the mechanic did not do his job well. He should've test driven the tractor before returning it. He could not have missed the jammed steering wheel and front tires.Gave 2-stars on this b/c the people I spoke with at L&R were friendly.

I recently bought a new Deere X370 with the 42" mower and 44" snow blower. The guys at L&R took the time to explain the features and options of this unit and showed me a similar setup in the back room so I could see it all put together. I am waiting for a good snow fall to see what this machine can do. I purchased my first Deere from L&R 20 yrs ago, LX277 with a 42 " snow blower, and with a 975 hrs on the meter just as strong as ever. I decided to upgrade. Retirement is around the corner for me and wanted the hydraulic lift option and very much looking forward to it. I would recommend L&R to anyone looking for a quality product and service.

Stopped in with a warranty issue on my Generac portable generator. When I told them the symptoms they immediately knew what it was, took it in back and got it back to me in 5 minutes, no charge. I could not ask for more. I will definitely be back for my small engine needs.

I bought my John Deer and chainsaw from here and the staff was so incredibly responsive and helpful. When the items were delivered they ran through everything again to verify I was comfortable with the general operation of both items. Highly recommended.

Purchased my first riding mower for many years. My John Deere is a great machine, cut my 1/3 acre in 20 minutes instead of almost an hour. The fall should be a breeze as I have the bagger for my leaves. People at L&R are very knowledgeable and friendly. Glad I didn t buy from a big box store.

I called about 7 places that quoted me a range of 1-3 days to get a 10 minute task done and when I called here, I spoke to Steve Jr who told us he can take care of us right away. When we came in we were greeted by 3 of the sweetest dogs who kept us company the whole time. Best customer service from Steve and the pups!

L&R have been absolutely stellar in the way they have assisted us with our Husqvarna robotic lawn mower. Steve even sent me home with his wire tracer to help me track a fault I had in my perimeter wire. This will be our go-to place for our yard equipment.

L&R is by far my number 1 go to vendor for new power equipment purchases, maintenance parts and equipment repairs. The service department has helped me out on multiple occasions when I was in a pinch with quick turn around on equipment repairs. I can usually count on their knowledgeable parts department to have the parts that I m looking for on hand. Their front end staff is friendly and informed on the products and services that I m interested in. I typically bypass other local vendors and prefer to work with L&R for my outdoor power equipment needs.

I stopped by L&R Lawn and Equip to look and get info on a John Deere tractor with a snow blower and cab on it. They had one on the floor which was exactly like I was looking for. The sales person Steve was terrible at passing along any info on the $ 16,000.00 unit. I wouldn't buy from this outfit. If it is this hard to just get info to purchase something this expensive imagine what the service would be like.

Got an automower here and they installed the boundary wire and guide wires. The mower never hit all of my lawn. Fast forward a year I had no loop signal. Call up Land R and their horrible customer service made it feel like it would be a hassle to them to fix my wires. Called up Lawn Robo (Great customer service) to fix my wires. Turns out Land R didn t know what they were doing when they laid my wires they took short cuts, hence why the auto mower was missing spots and the reason I had no loop signal was because a bunch of connectors L and R installed (improperly) separated. Long story short I will never step foot in L and R again and will use LAWN ROBO from here on out. The auto mower is an amazing product it s refreshing to see it work the way it was supposed to.

I call to buy a new John Deere tractor to replace my LA115. I want it comparable so I can use my blade/blower. They told me they would not check what tactor would fit because it's "to much work I can't sell you one anyway". Not bothering to look because they're not getting a pay day is terrible service. I have never written a review before but this dealer is rude, lazy, with a lack of understanding who pays their bills. Shame on you.

It was my first time buying a new lawn tractor and the experience could not have been better. I love my new Husqvarna tractor. Had one small issue after the first few days and they came right out to my house fixed it tested it and it's been fine ever since. I have already given family and friends their name for any outdoor equipment that they might be interested in.
