I was told I needed a new cat, muffler, and exhaust on my Jeep and got quoted a crazy amount from somewhere else. I'm so glad I came here instead! It turned out that I only needed a new muffler and the rest was savable, and they got it all running perfect in under two hours! (I got my oil changed, too) The price was great and the customer service was fantastic. I highly recommend them, and will use them again next time I need something. Took my truck here about two weeks ago. I had a hole in the Muffler. They called me and told me that they had cut a piece off the muffler pipe and welded a new one on. In addition he also told me I had a few bolts that had rusted and they had to replace them. I was just fine with that. I went to get my truck the next day and paid them. $115 total including $8.75 for each nut as stated on the receipt. No bolts were replaced like I was told. They used, two nuts to be exact. So I took my truck and went home. Now, the shop is only about two miles from my house. Truck was still a little loud when I parked it. However it was quieter still, so I was going to see what happened and if on a longer trip after the engine warmed if it was any better. The next day I have to leave to go out of town. As soon as I start my truck, BAM!! it is louder than ever before and i can smell exhaust throughout the whole cab. Like I said I was leaving to go out of town so, I just had to deal with it. When I returned home after a week my father recommended another place and it is NOW fixed. Turns out they threaded standard nuts on Metric studs and they would not tighten. (hence why it was still a little loud when i brought it home) The other mechanic removed the nuts chased the threads and installed the CORRECT nuts. Having the repair this time costed me $123. T should have been repaired correctly the first time. Honestly such a foolish mistake. Mechanics who work on vehicles in a shop should first and foremost be able to tell the difference between STANDARD and METRIC. Very disappointing and unnecessarily expensive.Service: Exhaust

2006 Chrysler PacificaCar had issues. Took it in for diagnostic evaluation.Needed muffler, sway bar link and bushings, new ground wire EGR/02 and thermostat housing (coolant leak). Now car is fixed, check engine light is off and running great!Had the car at two other places prior for exhaust and EGR but those two places could not get the check engine light off even after new EGR and O2 sensors were put in and work in front of the catalytic converter was done.. They obviously did not dig deeper into the issue.Highly recommend this place for auto repair!Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical

After a stretch of horrible experiences dealing with other mechanics I finally decided to go to Dave's. Almost 8+ years later I won't go to another shop even now when I live 25 min away. They are down to earth and friendly. I love this shop and everyone of the employees and value the work they do and trust them with my vehicles.

Everyone at Dave's was so nice, caring, and understanding. It has been a hell of a ride with my car and they were nothing short of amazing through their service. Very honest shop, very reliable, and so so kind. I am so thankful for them during a hard time.

My wife brought her van in for an oil change . The mechanic ripped the oil filter gasket, put the filter in anyway, didn t test run the engine to check for leaks and told my wife it s all set.My wife drives down the road a few miles away and oil was leaking out of the oil filter. The engine lost 3 qts of oil.She took it back and the mechanic put a new gasket on the oil filter, filled it back up with oil and didn t clean all the spilled oil from under the van. My wife asked him if they cleaned the spilled oil off and the mechanic said yes. He didn t clean the oil off from under the vehicle and now there s dripping oil all over my driveway at home.Very dishonest shop. Very shoddy work ethic. Low quality work . I recommend take your vehicle to a dealer instead where they do quality work.Independent shops are dead and looks like this one is close to going out of business like the rest of them. with shade tree mechanic work like that .I m a dealer mechanic myself and we do quality work. We would never release a car after an oil change without checking for leaks and a engine run test.Stay away from Dave s, obviously they don t care about they re customers.Service: Oil change

Dave's Muffler has been my go-to place for exhaust work and other major repairs for over 25 plus years. Always efficient, reasonable prices and great service. They've got a good team working there. They get the job done quick and don't try to sell you products that you don't need.

Dave's was great! They were able to get my car in same day and have my aftermarket exhaust installed in the quoted time frame at a very reasonable price. I would definitely go back to them again.

Needed various mechanical services for a Jeep Cherokee and was recommended to go to Dave's. They were awesome from beginning to end! They were clear throughout the entire process and for both cars that needed service (the second car, a VW Jetta, was unplanned/unscheduled but they were available to help) they provided fast service. I brought in my Smart Car to have a flex pipe fixed. The guys at Dave's were honest and said they'd never worked on a Smart before. However they repaired it completely. The price for my repair was less than a third that I was quoted by Carmax where I'm financing my vehicle. I have the extended warranty but my exhaust problem was NOT covered. Customer service at Dave's is EXCELLENT! Great group of guys there. Open and honest about prices and durations of repair expected. I'm 100% satisfied and will definitely bring my business back to Dave's in the future. Thank you!!

Got me in for an exhaust/muffler estimate, no appt needed. I was shocked at how affordable they quoted the repair. I was told it would be a few hours for the work, but it only took 45minutes! Staff is personable, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them, and will be using ONLY them for all my auto repair needs in the future. So happy to have found them! Was told I would possibly need 2 parts replaced but couldnt confirm until he began work. Turned out I only needed 1 part replaced. Very ETHICAL, as some shops would have done it ANYWAY for the money. Its so appreciated!! Daves Muffler is an A++ in my book!Service: Exhaust

This place will try to ROB you!!! I took my 2001 car in to get my exhaust repaired expecting it to be $80.00. My brake lines were leaking as well so asked them to take a look. They called me back and said the calipers, brake and gas lines needed to be replaced. They quoted me $1,700 for everything! This was extremely high but already had it there and thought I could trust them. They called me back the next day and said the brake lines were not included in the price and now it would be $2,100. Then the next day the final total would be $2,400 for everything. At this point I could see I was being taken advantage of and told them to stop everything, that I would take my business elsewhere. They still charged me $345.00 for taking the (rusted) brake lines out. I will never go back to this place and suggest you don't either!

Thank you James at Dave s muffler shop you did an outstanding job on my SUV she purrs like a kitty cat. All of you including Benny always take good care of my Roxy ! Highly recommend these professionals will never go any where else. Their prices are reasonable, the quality of work is outstanding and their customer service is always the best! Thanks again!

All my expectations were met and exceeded! After living with an obnoxiously loud exhaust on my SAAB for too long, I took it in to Dave's and was given a very fair estimate and was told that due to cancellations, I was able to have the work performed immediately! All the guys at Dave's are great and very professional and respectful. I would and will definitely be back for more work done on other vehicles in the future and would advise anyone else to do so as well.

I've had my vehicle serviced twice now with Dave's. My first experience was replacing the mufflers on my dual exhaust 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix. The second service was a front brake job with pads and rotors on the same vehicle. BOTH times I was treated courteously and both times the material and labor charges were well beyond fair. Dave's staff is knowledgeable, accommodating and the pricing is great. I would highly reccomend.

Needed exhaust repair on a 2012 Ford Escape.Contacted Dave's around 9 AM, dropped off at 11 AM. I was assuming it needed both a resinator and muffler and they stated it could be done same day. They contacted me at 1PM, job completed... they saw the vehicle only needed the resinator and a new muffler hanger. This saved me about 70% off the original quote. I found this to be VERY professional along with awesome customer service from both mechanic and front desk.I will definitely recommend Dave's to my friends for automotive repair in Kenosha!!Service: Exhaust

As a single mom I worry about the upkeep and repairs of my cars. I no longer have to worry now I always bring my cars to Dave - my cars and my children's cars. I have for years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Excellent service, fixed right the first time, always works with my schedule and I never have to worry about anything with my cars. ***** 5 star shop for sure!

Never steer me wrong. Brought my truck in, engine disassembled, tore up, after a few times of them getting bad engines Dave himself guaranteed that I would get my truck back in better condition than it was sent over there, and I did. They made sure I have a loaner vehicle for when I needed it to get back and forth to work and to bring my children to their specialists. They make sure any concerns with my truck are looked over and never look at me like I don't know what I'm talking about. By far the best customer service I have had at any automotive shop!! And I have gone to several.

Had a horrible experience with them, will NEVER go back or refer anyone to them. Said my husband needed a whole new engine, when they only were supposed to be doing the catalytic converter (which they didnt even do that properly) When we picked it up, it sounded horrible and was driving terribly so we took it to our normal mechanic and he fixed it all up with no issues!! And NO he did NOT need a whole new engine

This shop is phenomenal!!! Excellent service, craftsmanship, and customer service. I went to them to have my exhaust fixed through them and it was just a good experience overall. No one talks down to you and they treat you with respect. Most of all they understand if the if there needs to be more work on your car. Times are rough right now not everyone has cash to spend, with their competitive prices you should always make a stop there for some work. Thank you James for everything
