Brought my car and my wife s car in for an oil change. Very happy with the service and would definitely be going back. The entire team is incredibly professional and knowledgeable. When you get your car back you ll find a little care package, mine had candy and an air freshener. These are put together by hand, not bought in bulk. Just good to see that added little personal touch to an already amazing experience.

Don't trust this place. I called about an oil leak. They replaced a MAP sensor and put on engine oil dye because they couldn't detect a leak. $443 later, I go to pick up my car and they said to bring it back in 100 miles so they can check on that leak. On my way home I had to call them because my dash said that I needed an oil change. I looked at my receipt and yeah, they noted that I was overdue for an oil change. Frustrated, I took my vehicle to Neenah where my parents take their cars. The guy working asked if my check engine light was on when I took it in. No, it wasn't. He asked if my car was running funny. No, it wasn't. There was ZERO reason for them to change the MAP sensor. The MAP sensor has nothing to do with an oil leak at all. The guys at the Neenah shop found the leak without using a UV light (which is why Ruffing put the dye on my car). I am so glad I followed my gut and took it somewhere else for a second opinion. Taking my car to Ruffing was a huge waste of my time and money. I find it very hard to believe they have this many good reviews.

I ve been there twice now for an oil change. I found them on google with high ratings so I gave them a try. I will not be going anywhere else, they are so kind and knowledgeable. Their waiting room is very nice, they have snacks, drinks, coffee and WiFi. The people at the counter are just so nice and make me feel very welcome. Going into an auto shop can be nerve wracking but they make me feel very comfortable. They come and give me updates on where they re at with my car and give me a run down on my car as well. They even wiped off and vacuumed the front of my car, and left goodie bags on my steering wheel. I highly recommend them.

I was in town visiting for Christmas. A problem arose with my car I wanted to have fixed before I drove home. Ruffing Automotive was recommended. They were able to get my car in, diagnose what was wrong and make the repairs. I was very happy with the customer service I received and the work that was done.I will be moving to the Appleton area in the near future and plan to use Ruffing for any repairs and all normal maintenance of my car.

If you are looking for a family run business who truly care about their customers, it would be Ruffing Auto. Amy is very friendly and she informs you of any issues the technicians may run into and the waiting area is very clean. I also appreciate the follow up texts making sure everything was great.

Ruffing went above and beyond. We weren t even 2 hours into our 10 hour road trip for vacation when our a/c went out. It was one of the hottest weeks, at the very end of July.Thankfully, we had extended coverage which included Ruffing in their very short list of possible mechanics. I m so glad. An extremely stressful situation was made easy with Ruffing, and, specially, Spike.During our drive, with windows down on the interstate, in 98 degree temps, Spike took time to help. Not only did he answer the phone with a helpful demeanor, he did so each of the 4+ times. Never making me repeat our situation, always picking back up where we left off. See, not only did Spike let us know their availability, possible scenarios & limitations (relating to the warranty) he tried to help us find a more convenient location to our destination.We ended up easily settling on Ruffing and the just under 1 hour drive from our vacation spot. There were 2 possible ways to diagnose our issue, Spike determined, with the information we were able to provide which would be more beneficial to us & our pocketbook, in the small chance the issue wasn t covered by our extended warranty.On top of all that, they were able to lend us a minivan to use while they worked on ours. We were still able to enjoy our time in Wisconsin because of the team at Ruffing. I only wish that every automotive repair shop was as informative and kind to work with. It truly felt like we were being taken care of just as they would their family.Thanks to them, we had a much more comfortable ride back home and the a/c is still working great.Services: Auto A/C recharge, Auto A/C replacement, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

Spike is the best and Charles very welcoming and kind! Took our vehicle in without notice. We broke down and had it towed here. They offered us a very nice loaner and filled out a tiny bit of paperwork and we were out the door in 10 minutes! Fast, very friendly, super accommodating and caring. Definitely recommend!

Upon redeeming our coupon for a full service oil change priced at $44.95, we were surprised to find an additional $15 charge for labor. It seems misleading as a full service typically includes labor, or at the very least, the coupon should clarify that labor costs are not covered

My daughter ran over a key and key chain and caused one of my tires to go flat. The tire had to be replaced. They got right on it and the next day they got the new tire and put it on. They did a great job. Fast and without any problems.As usual they were courteous and efficient.When I took my car in for its oil change.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I needed my car towed unexpectedly last week when it would not start. I did not have a mechanic in the area but looked online at place & ultimately had it towed to Ruffing Automotive. I was extremely pleased with the service. They kept in communication with me the entire time, did a thorough job inspecting my vehicle & provided guidance & explanations along the way. The work was well done & done timely.One never hopes to have car troubles but I feel better now knowing I have a connection to Ruffing Automotive in case something goes wrong in the future!Services: Tires, Brakes, Battery

So far I have only had one experience and it was extremely positive. We shall see how things go. I so much appreciated them doing my wiper repair for free when they realized I was poor...GOOD PEOPLE! They found out my nail-punctured tire was still under warranty and helped me save major money there. They really took care of me...so I found a new place to take my car!

Ruffing got my van in immediately and worked quickly to diagnose and fix the problem. The rates they charged were best in the valley. I was in contact with Joe and he was very professional and kind. He was able to walk me thru all the fixes. He was not pushy and explained everything very well. I was very pleased with the service that I experienced through Ruffing Auto. I've been going to the same auto shop for over 5 years and I will say I was a little hesitant to jump ship, but am glad that I did. I called needing to get my car in asap as I was having some ongoing issues and could not get it scheduled with my normal auto shop. The staff at Ruffing Auto was very pleasant to deal with and was able to get my car in same day, with a loaner available and my car was done the very next day! It has been running smoothly ever since; I even got a nice little goodie bag when I got my car back. Long story short I will be coming back for future car needs and highly recommend Ruffing Auto!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I was super happy with the professionalism from all the staff at Ruffing. They found a long standing electrical problem in my older car and went the extra mile to locate the part. They provided me with a ride to and from work. I can't say enough good things! I'll be a return customer and already have recommended them to friends. Awesome job Ruffing!!!

Had a vehicle taken to them because i thought the brakes were going bad on my kids vehicle. Everything seemed to go okay during inspection, was called and told it needed new brakes and rotors. They wanted over a 1000 for this! I thought it was to much so we opted to go get second opinions. When we go to pick the vehicle up the gentleman asks if we were told what was wrong and we say yes. Otw to another shop my son starts panicking because the notes say his timing is off and it sounds like the engine wants to jump out of the vehicle. Well that was very strange as this never came up to us over the phone. I say okay we will see what the other shop says. Once at the new shop and we tell him why we are there he asked where did we go. We tell him and you can just see it in his face that it was a very poor decision. After 30 minutes at the shop the mechanic comes back and says I have good news for you. The brakes and rotors look almost brand new so you definitely don't need those replaced for awhile. Was told the sound my son was hearing was a little dirt/rust that was between brake. When i asked about the timing he had a good laugh and said apparently whoever looked at the vehicle must never of lived in a cold state because it was just set to high idle at the start to help crank it over in the cold, there is no need for concern. ALWAYS get a second opinion if this is your only option for a close shop to have it looked at if you are concerned. They tried to get my son to think he had over 3000 dollars of repairs to make when in fact the car was completely fine. Shame on this company and Shame on the owner. Your parents are certainly not proud of the type of business you run.

Used to get several things completed from brakes to struts and all went well from the estimate over the phone to the experience overall. Great customer service and follow up with experience. What makes them different is the courtesy vehicle and the thoughtful toy they left me for my child.

Life is good when you have people you can trust to do good work and treat you fairly. Our granddaughter who is a college student living at school far from home - had an issue with her car which she brought to Ruffing Automotive. Long story short, Joe at Ruffing Automotive went beyond our expectations by personally attending to her car on her return from Christmas break. It gives us peace of mind knowing that our granddaughter s car will be taken care of by Ruffing. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing work done on their vehicles. They are honest, do what they say they are going to do and stand behind their work. Quality. 5 out of 5 stars. It s hard to find an honest mechanic and this is definitely one of them.

I don't recommend Ruffing. Had 2 bad experiences. My son took car for oil change and tire rotation. And he asked them to check brakes. They said brakes were good. He got back to Minneapolis and noticed powder on wheels. Had to have brakes replaced. He tried to avoid having brakes done in Cities because so expensive. Ruffing let him down.My husband had water pump replaced. He asked them to be sure to replace all hoses and t thing because he knew there would be leaks otherwise. Ruffing did not listen and he has to pay $600 for them to replace hoses and t thing. What a waste of time and money. NEVER again Ruffing!!Update: Joe from Ruffing called my husband and offered to cover the charges, which was VERY nice. Joe has also said he will partially reimburse my son for repairs done in Minneapolis. We are fair and honest people and very rarely complain. We really appreciate Ruffing doing the right thing. And we will be repeat customers! Thank you, Joe!

Did the diagnostics myself and found out I needed a new alternator. Found Ruffing Automotive on RepairPal. They honored the price (which was the cheapest since I did the diagnostic). The Corolla runs great now, gave me a loaner vehicle while repairs were happening.I would recommend on future repairs.Service: Auto maintenance

This place is crooked and I will never go back. I needed a new radiator and was quoted $1,900. Absolutely ridiculous. I had been there twice previously and left with a lot of suspicion on their costs. This was the last time! I went there for oil change and tire rotation. Long story short they stripped the bolt holding my lug nut on my tire for my almost new car. Called the guy said they would fix it and they would pay. To schedule the manager said that they didn't do it even though they were the only ones the last two oil changes to touch my car. I went to Gustmans on College Ave and they fixed it for me for free and were super nice about. I will not be going back there and will let others know my bad experience with them too!Service: Oil change

Everyone was professional, polite and kind at Ruffing Automotive. They gave me a loaner to use and take home while we were waiting on tires. I think they even cleaned my floor mats. I have never been to another mechanic who leaves candy and an air freshener on your seat when you leave. What a great touch! I cannot recommend these folks enough.
