My husband called this mechanic to check out why his truck was not turning on. The mechanic came and looked at the truck For 1.5 hours and couldn t even figure out what was wrong with the truck and still charged my husband $800. How are you charging people so much for simply looking at a truck and not even finding what s wrong with it? We took the truck to a DIFFERENT mechanic the next day and they quickly found it was the IPR sensor. stay assay from block diesel repair they re scammersEdit: the owners responded to my review stating that they had diagnosed the truck with issues with the 6 injectors, when in fact They never diagnosed what was wrong, they literally only connected the scanner but never checked inside the hood nor underneath the truck. It wasn t until we took the truck to a different mechanic that we found it was the IPR sensors.

Thanks to Mitchell at Block diesel repair in Janesville, WI, he saved our lives. It is December 31. (New Year s Eve). Our Ford F150 was having trouble with the throttle body, which literally shuts down your truck. We were trying to get back to Texas, which is a day and a half drive from Janesville Illinois. We called Mitchell at Block diesel repair. He was very courteous and professional. He discovered that we needed a new throttle body. He called around, found the part and went and picked it up. He was back within 30 minutes and put the new part on the truck. He then ran a test to make sure the truck was not giving any other signals of malfunction and then let us test drive to make sure the truck was running smoothly. We are headed home now and could not be more happy about the situation. We highly recommend this shop. Our total cost of the repair was very fair and reasonable.Getting home safely; priceless.

If iwas able to post zero stars I would, or if I could call the police for getting robbed I would of. DO NOT call this place if you need roadside assistance, I had my truck down, it didn t want to turn on so I called them and shows up and just connect their computer and say he can t do anything,proceeds to check batteries and nothing and for what like 1:30mins total came out to be close to $800!!!! I REPAT DO NOT CONTACT THESE PEOPLE IF YOU NEED HELP FOR ROAD ASSISTANCE. They ll rob you!

3 WEEKS AGO MY UNIT BROKE DOWN .WE CALLED BLOCK DIESEL REPAIR . THEY PICKED UP THE UNIT AND TOOK IT TO THEIR SHOP . THEY TOLD ME THE NOX SENSORS WERE BOTH BAD ON THE FREIGHT LINER . I NEEDED THE REPAIR DONE AND THE BILL TOTALED WAS $3318. I CALLED THEM AND TO ASK FOR THE REPORT ON THE NOX SENSOR AND THEY DONT HAVE IT . ZACH SAID THEY DONT KEEP THAT AND IT HAD TO BE DONE THE DAY OF SERVICE . RYAN TOLD ME THAT IT IS VERY RARE FOR BOTH SENSORS TO GO BAD . SO THIS RAISES MANY RED FLAGS WITH ME ABOUT THIS SHOP . IF YOU ARE TRYING TO GET OVER ON PEOPLE THATS REALLY BAD AND DISGUSTING . STAY AWAY FROM THEM IF YOU CAN . I WOULD NOT BE WRTING THIS IF I WAS NOT GIVEN THE INFO.

AVOID THIS SCAMERS, THIEFS. THEY ARE NOT MECHANICS. THE ADD IN THE INTERNET IS NOT TRUE. They don't know anything about semitrucks. They dont even have the correct tools. They overcharge you and make time to charge you more money and waste your time. If you want to waste a lot of money and time then call them. I had to call a different company to be diagnost within 10 minutes.

My Husband went into the shop today for a DPF issue and Harry and Gregg gave excellent customer service. They both where very knowledgeable and fixed our issue. They got us in quickly and out the door just as fast. Thank you so much for helping us.

So my truck couldnt start they came down looked it over for 2 hrs 30 mins they maneged work around to get it to start get to get to shop atlest then... figured it was a start key wire they supposedly fixed it in less then 10 mins. After thats they charged me for 3 1/4 hours of labor so 152 for call out fee and 152 an hour so it should have been around 500. But the charge over 700!!!! For a wure fix!!I get down thE ROAD and i need to turn it off and then the problem repeats itself they never fixed it prooerly apparently and threw away 700They people are messed up an dont quit do there work righr and over charge dont do it!!This is an honest review u have been warned!!

Please my fellow truck drivers avoid this people. They are scammers. My alternator belt cut off and I had a spare one in my truck, I just asked them to come and put the built on. The mechanic they sent (Gabe) said that he has never done before and he doesn t think that he can do but his boss is forcing him to try it any way. When I called the road service I told them what issue was. I respected his honest and told him that he can go I ll call someone else. He called Zach, who is his boss and he told him I have to pay them $653 dollars. When I asked why? He said because we come out there and whether you like or not you have to pay. After long argument, we agreed on the $175 for the call service but they proceeded to charge me $553.9. I wish I could have read the reviews before I have called them. Avoid them at all cost! Trust me! You won t regret.their mechanics are incompetent they can t even change a belt. How can a mechanic come to you on the side of road and says to you, he doesn t know how to change a belt. They are the definition of high way robbery. Don t sign any paper work, they are there to rob you. And don t give your credit card, they will charge more than you agreed on. They suppose to charge me nothing but I have signed a paper work for $175.00. I found out they charged way more than on my credit cardService: Body & Trim

Based on the fact that I see the same guy in a red Blocks pickup truck drive eracticly around our neighborhood constantly they CAN NOT be safe. This man has cut me off in traffic multiple times, iv witness him almost hit 3 road crew men AND rear end the back of a bus full of kids so he can be first and drive fast. If their workers don't care about your safety on the road while they drive how can they care to safely maintain your truck?

Friendly guys at the shop. Ended up staying there for three days to get my EGR valve replaced. It was not an easy task as things around the valve would break unexpectedly. Tim worked all night to extract the bolts that were broken when the EGR valve was removed. And Mitch, he needs to be rewarded because the guy worked his butt off all day to install the new EGR valve. The price is a little steep but my truck is fixed and hopefully no more problems. I could use a little discount next time around guys. Let me help you by helping me

They were very professional and helpful. It didn't take him long to get to us. He made sure we understood what he was doing. What I really liked was that he was teaching his son and fixing trucks. I had a brake can go bad on my truck shortly after hours. I believe the mechanics name was Keith can not remember for sure, anyhow, he showed up with the service truck, got my truck all back up to operable condition in a very short amount of time. The bill was exactly as we had talked about on the phone, no hidden fees or dumb stuff like some shops. I'd recommend them any day. The mechanic was great, very knowledgeable, very personable.

Block came out to diagnose one of our units that had overheated in Whitewater. The tech arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and was able to diagnose and fix the issue, allowing the vehicle to return to our yard without needing a tow truck. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...... My driver had a leaking water pump. Quoted me a price of around $400 and we agreed. Their mechanic took twice as long as they stated so therefore they charged me double what was agreed on. My truck made it less than 3 miles down the road when my belt tensioner gave out. (They said it went out due to normal wear and tear) There was nothing wrong with it before they worked on my truck. They sent a service truck out and charged me another $600 to fix what they broke. COMPLETE CROOKS........This is the type of company that gives mechanics bad names. Took advantage of a driver from out of town. DO NOT USE

$1800 to replace two drive tires with two recaps trailer tires. About $600 for the tires and $1200 for the service call and labor. They did it inside the Madison weigh station, 23 miles away from their shop. This is a rip off place.Service: TiresService: Tires

I contacted Block Diesel after discovering that I had a fuel leak in my class A RV as I was traveling through the area. They sent me out a mobile mechanic, Mitch, who was extremely professional. After examining my problem it was decided that I would be better served in the shop. He called back to his boss, Zach, who said they would fit me in if I could arrive early the next morning. I arrived early, as requested, and was met by Zach, who assured me that Mitch would be with me as soon as he wrapped up a task ahead of me. He assured me they would have me done by noon. Mitch finished up and gave me the nod and they went to work. They salvaged all my fuel so they could put it back in my tank when they finished the repair work, they simultaneously added in a chassis check and lube job, which I requested since they already had me up on the lift, and got everything done and had me finished by 11. Dan did an excellent job on all the paperwork. As a full time RVer I was very satisfied with the price, the work, and the timing, and more than appreciative that they were willing to fit me in. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Janesville and surrounding area.

These guys are awesome. I was forced to call TA first. Blew airline underneath my trailer around 4am from road debris. Got a song and dance and said no one was available to help me til after 8am, even tho website said they were 24hour repair. So called Block, and they were there within the hour and had me on my way within minutes. Super nice guy. Very next day, I blew a brand new tire on same trailer, lots of damage. Forced to call dispatch again, cuz I guess Michellin has some new roadside assistance program now that farms out the work- its a joke. Both TA and Loves said it was gonna be over a 12 hour wait. I called Block again and the guy was there within an hour. Super nice guy and did the repair basically in severe tornado weather. I will always give them a call from here on out.

They're reliable. They stay open late. They'll even offer you a ride to the hotel if you have to stay over a night while they do repairs. I really appreciate the hospitality. Thank you all!!!! Great job. My mechanic Mitch did an incredible job. Arrived exactly on time. Finished the repair in record time and the price was very reasonable. And all on a Sunday morning. Great job! Keep up the awesome sevice

After reading the reviews, it doesn't surprise me as to the mentality of some drivers. It's hard enough to find a good shop on the road, let alone find one that will work for nothing as some of the reviews I read would have wanted. I have used these guys a couple of times, once over Christmas when I was frozen up. Tech came to my truck and got me going in a reasonable time. Costs was competitive and service was very good. The last time was an anti freeze leak and a power steering problem. Yes I sat for a couple of days but only due to having to wait for pump to be overnighter. Work was done right and quick. Plus I have a carhauler which is very tight working quarters, but they got it done. Yes I will use them if I need them.. very good shopService: Steering & suspension repair

Horrible service, called them and asked specifically if they had good experience with skid loaders. Situation was loader ran fine, went back to start and wouldn't start They assured me they did, had them out. . Tech claimed low fuel pressure(didn't test it btw, just eye balled it) ordered the part assured me it would fix it. Still couldn't get it started, spent another two days off and on, gave me a 1600$ bill, and said my motor was shot. Quoted me 12k for a new motor and said they could get me in right away, sounded a little fishy to me. I got a second opinion from our JD dealer. Took them 2.5-3hrs to figure (including putting it back together block diesel left it all apart) to figure out that the machine had a broken "finger" causing the hydraulics to be in drive. Fixed the part, and machine started right up and running like new. I called the owner, presented an invoice from the dealer(per the owners request), They still have not made this right. Next step is charge back with CC Provider and of course this review.Edit: They called me shortly after posting this(within minutes). Asking what I wanted, I said 600 off the bill was fair considering they did NOTHING that actually fixed this machine AND claimed my motor was shot, then tried to sell me on new one. Owner basically told me not going to happen. Be very cautious when using these guys for service.

I was towed to Block Diesel on 9/1/2021 with a CEL and my dd15 was D-rated. Greg and Zach were very Professional and Accommodate all my request. They fit me in when they were busy. Truck was fixed properly with no further issues. I called Block diesel repair and the guy that answered was very friendly. He told me 60 to 90 minutes and I don't think it was near the 90 minutes he got me up and running once he checked everything out to find the problem.
