He fixed what I wanted him to plus another thing that came up the very day of the appointment. I wasn't expecting that flexibility and very reasonable price. Appointment times are long but I think that is standard these days. I would recommend the village smith to anyone.

Had trouble with our truck after getting gas at Holiday and pulling into the grocery store for an item. Called one shop but they were full and they told me that the Village Smith was just next door. I walked over and spoke with Jim who graciously agreed to walk over and take a look. Turned out to be a simple fix of a shift cable and we were on our way to the UP to start our vacation. A big thank you for saving the day and getting us back on the road.

This place is a joke. I took my van there not once but THREE times within a month and nothing was fixed. First time he said it was "catalytic converter" .. NOT RIGHT.. broke down in Duluth after my sons surgery.. second time I got it back it ran worse and he said my fuel pump was fine. He fixed the breaks WHICH I DIDN'T APPROVE.. charged me 80 for it which is a rip off.. he changed a bunch if other stuff and It just died out in a car wash when I got it back. Then I went in there for a third time and he told me it was a sensor so he'd fix it free. So he called my dad AFTER I SAID TO STOP CALLIN HIM ABOUT MY PROBLEMATIC VAN .. He had told my dad anyway that it was a fuel pump for another couple hundred. This guy is a scam artist and I'm Gunna be putting word around that this guy likes to Rip people off. He even gave me a loaner car with bad barrings and shot struts in the rear end After I told him my son was in a wheelchair. What a joke!!!!!!Update 4/5/18 come to find out my head gasket is blown. Thanks a lot .... Again I would never recommend this place to anyone.

They've done a great job for me. Whether it is putting a new bulb in the headlamp or changing a muffler I have always been happy with their work.

Called the shop for a estimate and the lady was extremely rude and got mad and hung up on me. I will not go there for any service as they try to rip you off by doubling the price on parts.
