My first experience with Brien was so comfortable, honest, and refreshing. I did not have an appointment but he made instant time for me and didn t seem put out by being interrupted. He gave me a ride home, and then looked my vehicle over without any promise of my business, and gave me an in-depth report, with photos - much more specific and accurate than the estimate I was given by my dealer s service department. He leisurely went through the report, and prioritized what I actually needed done right now for safety. It was also important to him that the work I get be done in the right order so I didn t get dinged for multiple alignments. In a busy holiday week, he then fit me in and had my car repaired within a day.A few months later, when a random part of the exhaust rusted out, he did his best to only replace what was necessary, and thoroughly explained exactly what broke. Again, his service was pleasant, fast, and as economical as possible. He again did a thorough review of the car and progress of previous items I had put off to make sure nothing had progressed to a dangerous point.Fast forward a few more months, and a mystery noise turned out to be something that could be fixed in conjunction with a few of those "put off" items. Brien fit me in quickly, and again advised me on the best time frame for addressing the remaining items needing fixing, as well as which one was purely cosmetic. I couldn't be happier with the relationship I have developed with Brien. He truly reminds me of the "neighborhood mechanic" I saw my parents frequent when I was a kid. An added bonus -- Brien is a community contributor, always posting opportunities when his customers can help him donate to a cause.

If you re looking for a mechanic, he is the guy you want taking care of your vehicle! What an honest, intelligent person he is who truly cares about his customers and community. He explains your situation so well for you to understand. My husband & I will be getting all our car services done here from now on. We ve recommended him to many!

Absolutely love the friendly and helpful service! Have used Neighborhood Mechanic for routine maintenance, big repairs, and a new tire after running over a screw). I leave feeling my car is safe and they have inspected everything! Also great I can pop by with a question and know they ll answer with a smile.

Great experience with Neighborhood Mechanic. I trust Brien to tell me what my vehicle needs and not push any unnecessary maintainance or repairs and to do youany work correctly and in a timely manner. It's nice to be able to trust someone and have confidence in the work they do. Will be using Brien for my car care needs exclusively and indefinitely.

First time going here and I think I will never go anywhere else ever again. Brien was very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Some of the other shops had a longer wait to get in and I didn t have the time. He came through. My husband and I were very pleased with his work and how quickly he got it done. I understand shops get busy and he was too, but my timing was right. I could not be happier. We found our new mechanic. Let s just hope we don t have to see him much .

Brien was able to recommend tires that would give us a quiet comfortable ride. Not only did he complete the mounting and balancing of the tires, he also did a complete inspection of the chassis for any underlying issues!! Would recommend Brien to anyone!!Service: TiresService: Tires

My husband took my suv in to get new tires put on and to balnce them. Before we decided what kind and make of tires to be put on, Brien gave us a recommendation, and they are perfect! Took away all our road noise!Very help, friendly and great service!I would recommend to anyone!

I went to Brien tonight for an oil change for the first time after being turned away at Walmart because they weren t equipped to work on my Fiat apparently. I asked the Hartford sites where to go and Brien came highly rated. So I contacted him and he got back to me right away. I asked him some questions and he was beyond knowledgeable and upfront with everything for me. He taught me many things and made sure I was aware of how he handled things on his end. He treated me with respect and kindness. Sometimes as a female you are talked down to when it comes to your car. I have had numerous bad experiences and Brien didn t even come close. He was AMAZING. Not only did he do a good job, his pricing was more then fair and he gave me a detailed inspection report with photos and written descriptions so I would be aware of everything on my vehicle. I will forever be a customer and will recommend him to everyone!! Thanks Brien!

Even from a state away, Brien is always there to respond to questions about my car. He pays incredible attention to detail, and thoughtfully looks at the problem through a bigger picture lens. You won t find a better mechanic, and I can t recommend him enough!

I m SO glad we found Brian. He took my husbands car in the same day and had it good as new the next day! He explained everything in detail, updated with pics through text, and was overall very pleasant! We will be using him for every future car repair. Brien is hands down my favorite mechanic in the area. He s honest with what s wrong and what you actually need to fix, suggestions on what you should fix, and doesn t try to upsell you on things you don t actually don t need. Unlike most shops, he s not intimidating and super easy to talk to. He s been working on my and my family s cars for over ten years. Brien has helped me numerous times when fixing my car. Anything from a simple oil change to fixing my brakes and everything in between. He does it efficiently at at a fair price. Brien has worked on several of my family's vehicles, mine included. He tells you how it is and gives you a good price for it! He cares about the customers and their vehicles. Brien is very lenient schedule wise as well! Very good service, way better than I've had with other shops! Check him out, you won't be disappointed! :)

If you need any sort of work done on your vehicle, I highly recommend working with Brien at The Neighborhood Mechanic LLC! He will explain exactly what is wrong with your car and will make sure everything that needs to be fixed gets fixed properly. He's also flexible and willing to get you in at a time that fits your schedule, which is hard to find at most auto shops! Brien went out of his way to give us an estimate and then squeeze us in during a busy holiday weekend. He took the time to be sure we understood the work that was being done and didn't pressure to add other work. He was spot on with time of completion and actually finished up at less than the price quote. Very satisfied and definitely will be using his services again!

The best customer service and most knowledgeable and honest mechanic I have ever dealt with. I can't stop recommending him to everyone I know.
