My Nissan Sentra needed a new transmission so I took it to the dealership. They gave me an estimate of $6000 to replace it. I then took the car to TNS where they did the work for $4000. That was two months ago and the car is running well. In my experience the people at TNS are very honest and do good work.

Extremely friendly, helpful staff. Comes highly recommended by Jim's Bug Center. Very knowledgeable on VW transmissions. The hardest thing about getting my Jetta fixed was waiting for the parts which was not the fault of TNS. Highly recommending this business.

After my Mercedes was diagnosed by an import shop and being told the repair was going to be $8100, I took it instead to TNS for a 2nd opinion. The diagnosis was right but the fix came in at $2100. Tim knows what he's doing and is the clear alternative to all the "parts changers" out there. (Did I mention the first shop offered to "do me a favor" and take the car off my hands for $800?) SO glad I found Tim at TNS!

I can t say enough about Tim s impeccable commitment to quality work and customer service: going above and beyond does not say enough. I have a sometimes moody 07 Caddie STS AWD that I put a lot of miles on for work. Tim was insistent on thorough trouble shooting instead of going for the high dollar fix; which I was willing to commit to. Due to my travel schedule, this did take a few visits to get everything worked out over an extended period of time, which was all one me. Regardless, Tim was patient with my schedule and had excellent follow through. TNS Transmission is a busy shop, which is a good thing in my eyes, so initial scheduling may not be to everyone liking, but, definitely worth the great service and quality. Once Tim was knee deep into my car and hectic schedule, he went well above my expectations to work me in to finish the job. I wouldn t even think of taking my car anywhere else for drive train, transmission, or differential work. My car gets plenty of miles and abuse, and with Tim working on it, I m confident he will keep me on the road safe driving all over the Midwest for work. You are very much appreciated Tim, and the entire crew at TNS Transmission!

Tim is incredible. He and his crew did and excellent job at a reasonable price. I had bought the part myself and they installed it with no problem. My new clutch works Great!

A woman answered the phone didn t catch her name but took all my info asked questions took good notes and suggested I speak with Tim. Tim called me about 20 minutes later and we discussed the symptoms. Thought I had a slipping transmission . I had a misfire in number 5 cylinder. I bought a plug and installed it. Problem solved. These folks at TNS are AAA rating. Thank you!

TNS is fantastic the waiting room is clean the workroom is well-organized well maintained and clean Tim the owner runs his business very well. I feel truly confident walking out of there not being ripped off his workers are friendly and fun I suggest going to TNS. The mechanic Alex is the Son and Carlos is the uncle, like a mom and pop shop been taking my work vehicle there for 5 years always finds a way to get you in especially if it's your work vehicle and you need it they go the extra mile. A must-see

The owner Tim was very knowledgeable and very personable. He saved me over $2000 and had very fair prices. First shop I called told me my transmission was shot and to basically just replace it. They had not even seen my truck. Called Tim and right away he told me what he thought it was and to bring it in for diagnosis. He was 100% correct in what he had originally told me. I appreciate this kind of knowledge and professionalism. I would 100% recommend him and his shop.

Very friendly and efficient service. I had a question about my truck after service, and they insisted I bring it in. They checked what they service and gave possible suggestions of what it could be. Tim was very accommodating.

Tim was AWESOME! Very upfront and honest about everything with me. I looked around at a couple different shops but chose TNS transmissions because they were very polite and proffesional. For some reason i knew i was in good hands. I would recommend anyone to TNS. Keep up the great work guys.

After another auto shop tried to fix my transmission and charged me $650 I was told I need to change the whole transmission and it will cost me $3,000. I took my car to TNS and they told me that my issue was wiring and they were even able to fixed my car the same day! They were so nice and professional. Called several times during the day to give us an update. Would highly recommend them!

Friendly and knowledgeable. They found the real issue with the vehicle and saved me a bunch of money not having to do a bigger repair. This was after I'd gone to a different repair center and they failed to fix anything (but still cost $600) and said I'd have to spend way more. Definitely thumbs up for TNS!

Women in office very confrontational and called me liar and other things had my car seven days l called twice over that time to check on status of car women called me a bad costumer told me to get out of her store very very bad experience

We recently bought a small Chevy, and the reverse lights were not working. My regular mechanic could not replace the switch on the transmission for the lights (neither could I) because at some point it was welded on! Tim was able to replace the part the switch was welded to, and the car drives great! Super pleased with TNS, they got the car back in a reasonable time, and for a reasonable price!Service: Transmission

These guy's are great...Tim is a straight shooter, and Alex is a highly skilled technician. They came through when I really needed my truck (plowing), and it worked flawlessly during a wet and heavy snowstorm. I highly recommend these guy's for all your transmission needs.

They were able to squeeze me in for a non-transmission related problem within a day eventhough they were booked. Alex and Tim are great. They returned my calls promptly. Alex does an awsome job of explaining whats going on problem wise (I dont have extensive knowledge about cars) and the best way to fix it. Very fair with pricing and trust worthy.

Tim did a great job on my 2005 honda odessy. I couldn't be more happy with the honesty and friendliness. The work was clean and timely considering all the things that went wrong throught the procees. With that being said he really looked out and stayed as close to the original quote as possible. You get what you pay for and these guys are worth every penny hands down!

I have not only heard nothing but rave reviews on TNS Transmission, but it was also recommend to me. If you want honest, quality work, great customer service, trustworthy, etc... TNS is a GREAT EXAMPLE of how a company show run there business.

I had my Transmission go out on my 05 Avalanche. Tim and his crew were fast getting it inspected and replaced. The price and the speed at which the repair was made was amazing. Can't go wrong with TNS.

The parking lot is full and I believe the garage is full of talent. My Kia needed a transmission, it was ordered. 3 days later took it in and it was finished. Runs great and of coarse there is no more check engine light.

Unbelievably great!!!!!! A honest transmission shop. There was a transmission sensor code going off and it was shifting badly. They advised that likely when another place installed a radiator they let the transmission fluid leak out. So it cost me almost nothing to refill it when they could have told me anything and most places would have replaced the sensor to make money. I really appreciate how honest they were.

Tim and his staff are the real deal! I won't name names but one place told me it would be 3700.00, Tim and his TNS staff fixed the actual transmission problem for the actual reason and it works like new!

I took my 1991 Chevy Camaro to TNS Transmissions for some Transmission work and rear differential work to be performed. They did a great job making the Repair's. I will be coming back in the future.Services: Transmission, TiresServices: Transmission, Tires

I took my vehicle here because of the good reviews on Yelp about their honesty. Unfortunately my experience was a bit different that that of the other reviewers. However, it is important to understand that there is some possibility that they were truly trying to do the best for my vehicle. I just feel that they were trying to add additional work to my car that did not need to be done.TNS quoted me $2800 to repair my Engine Control Module (ECM) and rebuild my transmission due to some wear on the planetary gear.After taking the vehicle to another repair shop (Lutter's Elmbrook Automotive: Highly Recommend!) for a second opinion, they said that the wear on the planetary gear was typical for a vehicle with this many miles and did not require a rebuild of the transmission. They also highly advised against repairing the ECM which was only $200 cheaper than a brand new part as they have had many issues with rebuilt ECMs.My repairs ended up costing me $1200 instead of the $2800 that TNS quoted me and the vehicle is working great! I would have expected TNS, being a shop specializing in transmissions, to have better knowledge of issues with rebuilt ECMs and what typical wear on a planetary gear would look like.
