This place is great! I highly recommend.I know nothing about cars but I knew something was wrong with my car so I took it to a place that didn t feel right. So, I decided to bring it to Downtown Auto Service after doing some research. They delivered! From my initial call I was received with importance and Tyler definitely calmed my nerves and assured me they would help me and get everything done as soon as possible. When I went to drop my car off everyone in the front desk was so kind and caring. Great customer service!When they quoted my car they called and explained everything in detail and sent it to me and told me to take my time to decide. No pressure which felt so peaceful. They truly had my best interest in mind.After fixing my car, which was done super quick, they showed me everything they did and I ended up paying less than I was quoted.My car feels so much better to drive. Im so glad I brought it to Downtown Auto Service. It s obvious that they care about people. I will be back!!

I have had such a rough week with my car and my boyfriend s car and was referred to this company from a friend. Tyler spent 15-20 minutes on the phone with me after he was just about to leave for the night to troubleshoot solutions with me until I felt better and had a good idea on what to do next. He was SO nice and understanding. I felt good hanging up about a crappy situation and will be going to Downtown Auto from now on.Oh, and I just got off the phone with my car dealership before calling Downtown Auto and the guy was incredibly rude to me so talking to Tyler after that was a breath of fresh air.Thanks so much!!

When I broke down on the way to work, with axle and ball joint malfunctions, they expertly navigated my meltdown over the phone and directed me to the tower they work with, making my morning as painless as could be under the circumstances. Great service, reasonable rates, great communication, and would recommend their repair work to anyone.

All around amazing auto shop! Great communication, very honest, and super fair on their prices. I went there for the first time with my Jeep Gladiator to have it looked at for a noise issue that I couldn t diagnose. They were knowledgeable about the work they were doing and never gave up until they fixed the problem! Everyone there was super nice and helpful throughout the entire process! They went above and beyond to help me out and this is the only place I will ever trust to work on my vehicles going forward!

Their staff is amazing. They're so friendly and honest. Their pricing is fair.I went in to have my timing chain checked out. They went above and beyond my expectations by checking out a few other parts of my car that they said could also "go" about the same time as a timing chain. The total cost to have these things looked over was less than $40!10/10 recommend. I even suggest them to my clients when they're having car troubles.

Thank you so much for making my visit as transparent as possible. There seems to be a persistent perception that plagues the industry as a female shopper when it comes to auto repairs (mistrust). However, your ability to explain each step along the process made it easy to understand my repair and my quote. I always felt informed and never second guessed any decision I made. In the past I would've rather gone to the dentist than the auto repair center. We were referred by a family friend who would never steer us wrong, yet I was still blown away. Genuine people, work and prices. Our car is more important to us than ever this next month with therapy for our son and our wedding/honeymoon. Downtown auto took great care of us in a more than reasonable time at a reasonable price. Not too mention one of the issues being fixed was part of how the car was sold to us from a household name dealership. I was super impressed with the way I was treated at this business. I brought my car in for an oil change and a radio issue and they were so attentive and explained everything to me along with pictures. I also had a handwritten thank you note in my car when I picked it up. Because nobody takes the time to do those little things anymore, it put them at the top of my list for future appointments for my car. And everyone was super nice. Definitely my new go to for anything involving my vehicle.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Words alone cannot express how grateful we are to have found downtown auto service. Our story is quite lengthy, I won t bore you with all the details. However, it s important to provide a brief background to fully understand why we will NEVER use any other shop than downtown automotive shop!!My daughter found her perfect vehicle - a classic Ram Charger Power Wagon. Well, when she purchased the truck she was taken for a ride. She was over charged for the truck, purchased it since the owner said no major repairs needed!Well, after spending $900.00 here, $700.00 there, the truck needed to go back in for repairs. After a few months, she finally received the call stating her truck was ready for pickup. We went to the auto shop in Pound, WI (approximately an hour drive away) to be slammed with a bill for approx $2,000.00.Things were looking up for her. Put gas in the truck and started our return to Green Bay. She made it no more than 2 miles before the truck was inoperable - forcing us to have it towed resulting in additional out-of-pocket expenses. I suggested she contact downtown auto service to ask them if they are willing to take a look at her truck.She spoke to Tyler who said, sure, we will take a look at it and feel free to have the truck towed directly to our shop . We could not have made a better choice!Tyler is extremely professional! He walked us through the entire process - from initial assessment/diagnosing and through the repairs. Tyler kept us fully informed regarding what the team was doing to get her truck up and running.I want to personally thank the entire team at downtown auto for going above and beyond to get my daughter s truck running while keeping costs down. There is no other shop in town that I have worked with who cared so much about customer satisfaction that I will forever be loyal to downtown auto service in Green Bay, WI. Thanks again for all that you have done!

If you re looking for a great mechanic this is the place to go!! Took in my 1970 Chevelle for an oil change and tune-up, and got some great recommendations. Ended up converting it to fuel injection, and it s running strong!All the staff is super friendly, patient, and knowledgeable! I felt like the master mechanic/owner, Aaron, treated my car like it was his own.I would highly recommend their services to anyone! THIS IS THE BEST PLACE IN GREEN BAY!! I took my car to a large dealership in Green Bay to have a noise coming from my drivers side diagnosed. They told me my strut was bad and gave me an estimate of $1,000. I decided to call Downtown Auto for a second opinion. They found the strut was fine and that it was a sway bar link. I was out the door for $134!! Awesome service !!! The best place around! I will never go anywhere else!! Thank you for saving me $900 and making the correct repair! Aaron, Jeff, and the entire crew at Downtown Auto are top notch. They have great technology to make scheduling appointments easy, communicate very well throughout the entire process, treat you with the utmost respect, and always have fair pricing for the services they provide. The staff is friendly, transparent, and informative. Before doing any work on my car, the auto tech always goes through each issue, how it works, why it's broken, and confirms I want to go through with repairs. I will not be going anywhere else. OMG! I write alot of reviews and this one is going to special. Let me start at the two people I met. Tyler and a sweet funny lady (no clue her name), sorry sweet funny lady! The greeting was spot on, made you feel that you mattered. I worked with a auto technician named, Jeff. He was incredible, he answered all my questions and concerns. Jeff and Tyler shared also shared with me future concerns. Brakes, cv joint boot, and a sway bar. I was so impressed on the professionalism that I was shown, I didn't think twice to schedule all 4 procedures. Thank you again, for the incredible experience. You are my auto shop for my car issues.

Downtown Auto Service has won me over for all of my vehicles' maintenance! I have had a positive experience every time they worked on my vehicles, from oil changes to a head gasket replacement. I know my vehicles are running as they should, for a fair price. Roughly 5 months ago my wife and I took a trip to Green Bay from the Upper Peninsula for a bowling tournament I was in. On the way down our battery warning light came on in our Kia Soul. We made it to Green Bay and did some light shopping before we went to our hotel. The battery in the car was 7 years old so I bought a new one and replaced it in the store parking lot. Unfortunately the problem was more than just the battery and we just made it to our hotel.Late Friday afternoon, we make a few calls, dealership can help us tomorrow, ect ect. My wife calls Downtown Auto around 3pm friday (they are the closest to our hotel) and they state they can squeeze us in if we can get the car there. We limp the car to the shop and they take over. Confirm it's the alternator and get one there within 15 minutes. Within 90 minutes our car is done and ready to go. Unbelievably reasonable price. Amazing service. Gave us recommendations on how to kill an hour in downtown Green Bay.Absolutely amazing garage, where other places would take advantage, they took care of us.Highly recommend. So much so I put a sticker on the back of Kia advertising them.Thank you so much for saving our trip!Services: Electrical repair, Electrical

I'm a HUGE fan of Downtown Auto. Fair prices, friendly faces, and great work. While it's always a little stressful when a vehicle needs work or unexpected repairs, it's very helpful knowing I can take it a place I can trust. I've been going to them for years, and they have gone above and beyond more times than I can write in this review. They give honest advice, offer multiple solutions whenever possible, and explain if a repair is critical or whether it could wait a while. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Just moved to Green Bay August of 2019. Had a flat and they came and fixed my tire right when I called. Then had problems with my brakes called and they did an awesome job on my car at a great price. Very nice people. I will bring my car to them when I need anything done. I dropped my car off at 7AM called them at 8AM asked when they got my car in to call with an estimate on work to be done. Time went on didn't hear nothing so at 3Pm I called them asking about my car. He said oh yeah we got it in late morning let me put you on hold as I figure out your estimate. They close at 5PM so chances of getting my car back before closing...slim to none. Gave the estimate I said go ahead with repairs. Called at 4:30PM not going to get it done today and power steering hose was going to be more than the 50 he quoted me. Next day I picked up my car hose was 150 more than estimate I said ok but would have to wait till the following week to get it in. I said ok. Upon getting in my car my low fluid level alarm came in on my anti freeze. They had just replaced a temp sensor on radiator. I stopped back at the shop Aaron topped off this fluid. He said sometimes there is an air bubble in the line when they work on this. If he knows this why wasn't thus rechecked then? Looking at the oil sticker on my window it said next service was due in 3000 miles I requested synthetic oil this usually is good for 6000 miles. Did they put synthetic oil in?? He said yes. When arriving home I checked my high beam head light cause this was out and I requested them to fix it. Well my head light was still out.. not happy. Called Aaron told him about all my issues he said " he would take care of me next week" when I brought my car in. The following week I brought my car headlight needed an additional part but fixed my power steering hose. The power steering fluid was 31 more than his second estimate I didn't find this put till I was paying the bill... nice! I guess this was Aaron's way of taking care of me! He asked me if I wanted an estimate on headlight part I just said no thanks I don't think I am coming back. I was a loyal customer for over 5 years if this is the way they take care of the regular customers I sure wouldn't want to be a stranger dropping my car off there. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone.Arron you need to get your facts straight. When I called at 3Pm he plainly forgot about my car. He had nothing figured out and purely guessed how much the hose would be. Also nothing was said about the anti freeze to me so that purely is a lie. You plainly forgot to rechecked it.. I paid you for fixing my wipers on the lights it's clearly noted in the bill so don't think you did me any favors with a bill over 740 dollars.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Battery, Oil change
