Wanted to love it. It is clean and small. 8 tables for dining. Very few people there when we arrived. Waitress was new and had a rough day/evening and it showed. She appeared to be defeated. Took a very long time for her to come for our order. Complained about the POS and kitchen order systems. Didn t like to do both I guess she needed a place to unload her woes. Menu online is old. Nothing fancy - burgers, fish and chicken. But out fish, and baked potato s. Ordered onion rings, never did get them. Ordered tap beer got a bottle. Hamburger was a burger in the bun and nothing else. Ketchup only in the table. Good burger but would have liked the option to add to it (onions, pickles etc) Fries were fair. Water smelled like cleaning chemicals. Owner was super nice so that was a huge plus. Lots of room for improvement for this little joint. Might try again some day.June, 2023 - tried again. Not impressed the second time. Same waitress, Traci. This time she was very unfriendly and seem to be bothered by our presence. Fish subpar, onion rings overdone. Ordered a pot pie. Clearly use canned vegetables, which turned to mush, not that I expected fresh, but I certainly would have thought frozen would have been a better option and much to my surprise there was not one piece of chicken in my pot pie. Didn t care for the flavor. Myself and another guest did not care for the dressings they served with the spring salad.Conclusion we will not return.

Super cute place to eat at. The atmosphere is welcoming with friendly staff and locals. On a nice day I'd suggest stepping out onto the balcony to enjoy the beautiful lake view. The cheese curds are a must have along with the burgers which are so moist, pairing well with the crispy fries. After dinner, I suggest taking a stroll down the path, which leads to a beautiful view of the lake. Will definitely be coming back on our next trip this way!

Not a bar anymore never open. Only interested in camp sites. Locals do not go here.

The ambiance, management, menu, view, beverages/service, maintenance, grounds, RV park and employees Cindy, Jody and Linda are all WONDERFUL! Cozy corner of the world right here, on beautiful Cranberry Lake.

We have been here a couple of times recently for the fish fry and ribs. The first time the ribs were good, however, not good the second. Fish is o.k., baked potato was not hot so I ordered fries, which were soggy and limp. A friend of mine who is a line-cook said the fries were not soaked in prep or not fried twice. If they do neither, the oil was not hot enough. The deviled eggs that come with the fish is a nice touch. Crabby waitresses, except for the owner.

We spent one night in our motorhome and enough every part of our stay. The restaurant/bar food (we had bbq ribs), beverages & staff were excellent. The atmosphere and view of Cranberry Lake were awesome. We'll definitely go back! Thanks Michelle & Mark!

The Friday Fish fry was very good. The two deviled eggs were a nice addition to the baked potato and Cole slaw. Service is friendly and quick. The atmosphere is friendly and easy.

Fun bar with friendly staff and patrons. You can come by boat if your on the flowage or cranberry and you can tie up on shore. The meat raffle on 1st and 3rd Saturday was a good time. It brings a good crowd so come a bit before it begins. The ribs were good as well!

Loved this place! The service was outstanding, the food is delicious and the lake view is spectacular! If you are looking for a fun, relaxed environment, definitely head to the Golden Chipmunk!

Great place with a beautiful view of Cranberry Lake. The Golden Chipmunk Restaurant and Bar is a wonderful place to relax and have a good meal and adult beverage. Highly recommend!
