Absolute hidden gem in downtown Fish Creek. Upstairs above the Market, this space is massive! Very vibey. Very homey. Excellent staff with friendly smiles! Great place for a quiet cup of coffee or to get some work done. They have a full menu as well! Very glad we found this place!!

This is such a great cafe. The owner and the staff provide a welcoming environment to enjoy an espresso, freshly baked good and a great tasting meal. Stop in and check out their bakery - if there are everything biscuits with maple butter, get one! The food is made fresh and with care. The staff really makes a difference and it's appreciated!

Don t forget to look up at cafes that aren t on street level! We absolutely loved this cafe. Excellent service, cozy atmosphere, and delicious food. I don t even like quiche, but loved theirs (spinach, roasted red peppers, caramelized onion). We also got their pepper and cheddar cheese biscuits and creamy white bean/kale/rosemary soup. We will absolutely return!

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast and each tried a skillet, coffee and tea. The counter people were fabulous and friendly and very patient with my husband who asks a million questions. The oat milk cappuccino was perfect as oat milk cappuccinos can be, but I found the skillet to have one predominant flavor, which was salt. It was still edible as I was very hungry but I like to taste the components of my food- eggs and vegetables for their native flavors first. I would have preferred herbs or bland flavor to salty. As my mother used to tell me, you can always add salt, but not take it away. The cafe is atop the Fish Creek Market and has no particular view of the lake, but make sure to stop at the market below and peruse all the interesting foods and local finds.

Limited menu, which is ok if everything is exceptional. We had salads. They were not very good. Had asked for water. Then, we looked for cups, next we found a water jug so empty we had to tip it on its side to get a little water. Door County has many good restaurants, this is not one of them. "A swing and a miss"

I've had 2 perfect, memorable lattes in my life and the Rosemary Latte at Shiny Moon was one of them. It was phenomenal and I'll be thinking about it until I come back next year! Staff was very sweet & friendly as well.

What a delightful spot for coffee, brunch, lunch all of the above! We had the special Moroccan stew over rice with a side salad, and it was spicy perfection. Also sampled the rhubarb coffee cake & blueberry scone, also excellent. Full coffee bar set-up for lattes, Americanos, etc etc. The iced tea has a delightful taste that I couldn t identify but left me wanting another & another. Staff is friendly & efficient. Can t wait to go back to try the other baked goods & entrees.

We had a fantastic lunch at Shiny Moon a few days after their opening. The staff & chefs were so friendly and the food was delicious. We had the pulled pork and Moroccan stew, plus a chocolate chip cookie (and another to go). Can t recommend this new find enough!!

The food was ok but not what I like to eat. I did appreciate that it's homemade. I thought $47 for 2 people for breakfast was a bit much. Definitely don't come here if your a picky eater. But I will say the staff was very nice.

Loved it. Really quite yum, higher end breakfast stop, and great coffee. Served greens with everything we ordered, yes, breakfast too, which was actually great. Super nice staff and clean, cute, contemporary dining.

Came in on a Saturday night to enjoy Good Luck Wine Bar. Incredibly thoughtful wine selection with equally impressive food. Great service and cozy atmosphere without being pretentious. 11 out of 10. Drink your wine here.

Raw chicken with a side of denial. Over Memorial Day Weekend, my mom and I decided to try the new Shiny Moon Cafe. As part-time Door County residents, we love supporting new businesses, especially cute new restaurants! What started out as high and eager expectations quickly faded to feelings of regret. We walked up the stairs to the cafe where one couple was eating and three employees were behind the counter. Eventually one of the employees told us we should order at the counter, sit wherever we like and they ll bring us the food. We ordered chicken satay, kahlua pork and two glasses of wine. My mom gave her name for the order, paid the bill and prepaid a 20% tip (over $60 total for bill and tip) after all, we were told they would bring the food to us. The wine was brought quickly to our table. Then we waited a long time. A woman behind the counter started yelling Ladies!! Ladies!! Your order is ready! I was startled and realized she was trying to get our attention the place was empty and we were told that they d bring the food to us, so we weren t expecting to be serving ourselves. Anyway, I went up to the counter where one plate was waiting. I said oh, we have two plates: the chicken satay and the kahlua pork. The employee told me No, just one plate was on the order and there s no names attached to the order. Hmm. I told her we ordered the chicken and the pork. She then looked at the ticket and said, oh yes, I didn t see that. I ll make that pork right away. Ok So I took the chicken satay back to the table. It was pretty presentation: a scoop of saffron colored rice, small pile of spring greens and a few skewers of chicken with some sauce in a little container. The chicken was dark in color and thick looking. We each took a skewer and started to bite into it. The meat was very dark on the inside and had a strange texture. I looked down and thought it looked unusual. I took a bite of the rice, which was sadly flavorless! I have never had rice that has zero flavor, but this one was it! No flavor at all. Strange! My mom set her skewer down and I inspected it more closely. The meat was RAW shiny and red on the inside (why it was red and not pink was beyond my understanding for raw chicken)! We had been served raw chicken. I immediately took the plate back up to the counter, showed the cook and said, this chicken is raw. She flippantly said, I temp checked it . Maybe she did that on the one edge, but not in the thickest part, which is where you should ALWAYS temp check chicken. Had she done that properly, we wouldn t have been served raw chicken, I d hope! I said, well it s raw. She offered to make me another plate of chicken and by then we were completely turned off by it and beginning to worry about food poisoning. I said no we ll just take the pork plate, which we were still waiting for. I went back to the table and we drank our wine, unsure of whether to leave, make ourselves purge to rid of the raw chicken or what. Another round of ladies! Your order is ready! So I went up to grab the pork plate. Same presentation, except a pile of fatty pork with cooked onions. I ve made Kahlua pork and it s always been so flavorful! This was again, tasteless, and full of gristle. For sure low quality meats were being used. We took two bites and got up to leave. On the way out, the owner appeared and stopped us as we were heading down the stairs. She said the cook told her what had happed and she would like to refund the chicken plate. I said we d let her know if we got food poisoning from the raw chicken. The owner then said she would refund our entire bill and would need to copy down the credit card number so she could issue the refund after midnight. That was weeks ago and we still haven t been issued a refund. This is all very unfortunate as we know Angie is a well known and liked community member, but there are some major overhauls and trainings that need to happen in order for this business to be successful. We will avoid this and suggest everyone else do, too. Not worth the risk and expensive disappointment.
