Place was clean as a whistle would stay there anytime it s very nice having it all to ourselves. Right time of year to book it places we eat at in Fish Creek. we are fantastic. We went Friday night for a fish fry at a local bar 11 miles out of Fish Creek. It was fantastic but I cannot tell you the name of it. We just stopped took a chance and it was the local bar where everybody went to, and had fish fries, and it was fantastic . The locales told us this was the bar to come to. again, the birthday present surprise was a hit, so thank you again for your great place to stay

An amazing option. Affordable rooms and charming atmosphere all in one. The rooms are very clean and are perfect if you like simple hotels. The owner was extremely friendly and checked in on us after we settled in and answered any questions we had. The location is fantastic, especially if you're headed to peninsula state park. We enjoyed our stay very much and can't wait to come back when the pool is open. Check this place out!Rooms: Clean and simple. It's not a five star luxury resort but it's absolutely got all the charm and comforts of door county.Nearby activities: Right across from peninsula state park and up the road from fish creek. Not far from other locations either.

The people there really do care and go above and beyond for their guests. We stayed for three nights. The room is just big enough for two which we were okay with. A toddler takes up a lot of room but we made it work. The lack of towel replacements were eventually addressed. The microwave was missing a knob and the remaining knob was hanging on by a thread, so it was just barely functional. The fridge/freezer is nice to have but doesn't get as cold as the one you have at home. The shower was short with low pressure. The internet is just enough to get by. These weren't deal breakers. They are the sort of hiccups you expect at budget accommodations and we worked around them. The staff is what elevated this experience from tolerable to pleasant. Liz in the office was always warm and sweet to us like an old friend. Ron went above and beyond to help us install a baby seat on our bike and take it off, even if it meant he had to leave their other hotel and get back to our location immediately so he could get his tools out for us. The outdoor area is spacious and comfortable. The beds were excellent. If you keep your standards realistic you will really appreciate all the efforts put in to elevate this place from a budget motel to a home away from home.

We stayed in room 6, which we found very clean and comfortable. Don t expect shiny new mainstream hotel accommodations, or you ll be surprised and disappointed. However, Grandma s comfortable Up North cottage is more the vibe here. Plenty of space for 2 people to rest between adventures. The bed was comfortable but a bit soft for my preference, but the other guest didn t mind it at all. Plenty of towels, comfortable pillows and soft blankets. Loved the pool and staff were very friendly. Kringle in the morning was a fun treat! It rained on our second day so we didn t get to enjoy the bikes but there were plenty available to share with other guests. I love that they have various sizes for kids of all ages. We loved eating breakfast outside by the fire pit. Our room had a nice table for eating meals and playing cards. Our room also had a nice refrigerator, microwave and tv. Internet access was great for us to post and share pictures, but not quite enough for video calling (which was okay with us). We would definitely stay here again. Lots of nearby restaurants and parks to explore. Practically a perfect spot to stay to easily access lots of attractions and shops.

First time ever staying at a place that requires you bring your own toilet paper and towels. At check in you will be given 2 full pages of rules. Room was ok at best and that is only if you have no expectations whatsoever. We left a day early and the lady I called to let her know was harping on making sure the cabin was clean when we left otherwise there would be a cleaning fee! We left the cabin spotless but felt compelled to video the cabin afterwards fearful that we may be hit with a cleaning fee anyway. Fortunately that didn't happen. Choose this place, as we did, only with a lack of other options. For the owner's information, I stayed in Robins Nest from July 27 through July 31 but vacated the property on July 30. Thank you for saying I am being untruthful. If you have no record of my stay then perhaps I should file a dispute on my American Express card that your staff gladly swiped. I gave a very honest review of your property and found the person I spoke to on the phone quite annoying regarding a cleaning fee..in which we left your cabin spotless and took video evidence before we closed the door to leave. I notice that anyone who leaves a less than positive review also gets the "no record of your stay" reply.

PPVR is a nice, no frills, pet friendly motel located across from Peninsula State Park in Door County. The owners are caring and attentive to your needs. The pet rooms are cleaned and disinfected thoroughly. You cannot leave your dogs unattended.I highly recommend this resort for dog owners on a budget.

Our room is very spacious, with a refrigerator/separate freezer, a microwave, small round table and chairs, very comfortable beds, a nice glider chair, great AC and a ceiling fan with a light. The bathroom has everything you need. Plus we have a screen door which is very nice to let in the breeze.Outside our room are two lovely wicker chairs which are under the extended roof. The grounds are well maintained with outdoor tables and chairs, a fireplace with seating and a double wooden swing. It has a very welcoming look and feel.

Very cozy location. I love that they offer bikes for FREE, giving the opportunity to enjoy the many trails offered in the park. Not to mention complimentary coffee and Kringle in the am, pool, and family game room! The resort is a hop and skip from the park and it is ten min from all the touristy locations. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed our stay here very much. We did not spend a lot of time in the room - so it was small and older - but it was also very clean and didn t smell musty or gross. Carpet was new and pain was fresh. The pool was nice and the grounds were well kept. Check in was friendly and easy. The motel is close to the highways and you can hear cars and sirens all day/night.Overall I d recommend if you need a home base. If you want a tranquil or serene door county getaway, probably keep looking.

My wife and I spent a week in Door Co, WI recently and stayed at the Peninsula Park-View Resort. We loved our stay. I'm sure you could find a much "nicer and more modern" stay within the county, but there was a certain charm about this place. The resort took you back to the hayday of roadside hotels. The resort took you back the the 1960s and 70s. The room was clean and well kept. So many other perks that might not happen at other stays; the biggest perk was the accuse to free bicycles for a quick ride or all day use. And with the state park across the road it proved very useful. We also loved being away from Fish Creek or Ephraim....much quieter stay. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Cozy, picturesque, ideal location, very quiet, very clean, and very comfy. We loved our stay in Door County because we came upon this sweet place framed by a white picket fence and countless lovely tiger lilies! We were thrilled to find that there was an entrance to Peninsula State Park RIGHT ACROSS THE ROAD! An amenity included fitting us for bikes (all free )so that we were able to enjoy the park. We couldn't believe it. We enjoyed a wonderful bike ride together through the park. We even stopped to watch some golf. We used the charming out door swing in the courtyard for our Anniversary pictures. There was a grill for outdoor barbecuing (that we would have used had we had more time) but we will be back. The pool was heated and beautiful. Next time we may stay in the romantic Anniversary Suite. The owners were very kind, friendly and helpful. When asked, they pointed out all kinds of things that were close for us to do. Bob and Mary

Just getting to this review from a July stay. Booked pre covid, decided to keep the booking and check it out. So glad we did. Location is fantastic. Brought our bikes and rode all over the park.Setup is good for covid-units have separate exterior entrances and hotel protocols were quite safe. Manager was awesome-spoke by phone a couple times before the booking and she was friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back again. Rooms were a little dated but certainly comfortable. Pricing was reasonable. Had a great stay.

Cozy motel that had some great amenities including a well maintained pool, board games and movies (Vhs tapes) to check out; and the best thing...BIKES to borrow (not rent, they we're free with the stay)! This was the main reason we decided on this motel, we wanted to ride through the park, but not bring our bikes. We brought our own kid trailer to haul our toddler around behind the bike my husband rode which was good as they didn't have one (however we asked them before we booked so we knew what to expect). Beautiful Penninsula state park right across the street. (FYI Eagle Bluff lighthouse has an interesting tour of the lighthouse keepers family home, but you cannot walk out onto the top, just examine the filament light from below, walking up a steep spiral staircase. Not something to do with a Toddler!) Close to Fish Creek but away from the busyness there. We also spent a lot of time in Sister Bay so that wasn't too far away either. Breakfast was a nice touch- coffee and traditional Kringle (a Wisconsin staple), and some fruit (banana or apple, I can't remember). Just enough to get you going in the morning on your way to eat a larger breakfast somewhere else. Wonderful owners who treated our little family like their own family. We saved $5 a night by bringing our own towels to use.

We booked the Anniversary Suite for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. The room was very nice and large. It has a full kitchen with everything, hot tub, big sitting room and wonderful atmosphere. It is rustic with wood beams on the ceiling and stone fireplace. Nestled right on the highway, it is very quiet after 6pm and just nice to sit outside on the deck and take in the surroundings. It has Free bikes to use and an out door pool. The owners are really nice and very helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to make the stay memorable. It has two 4+star restaurants just down the road, Alexanders and The English Inn as well is the Outdoor Theater. Yes, Outdoor theater.. One of only a hand full anywhere left operating. This weekend it had "Finding Dori". Close to many different activities, this is a great place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. John and Linda South Milwaukee, Wi

We had our family reunion there. Nice place! Beautiful pool. Sheltered enough not to worry about kids getting out into traffic. A common room to meet and play ping pong. The rooms/suites seemed nice enough.

Well we booked room number 7 and when we were on our way we called and told them we would be arriving late and they said ok your in room 6 we said no we booked room 7 they said oh there was a problem with room 7. So when we arrived we seen a couple pair of shoes sitting outside of room 7 like someone else was staying there hmm seems like they gave someone else the room we booked. So now for room 6 when we first walked in it smelled a little musty but looked clean. The bed was absolutely horrible it sunk in in the middle my poor wife had a major backache from it at like 230 in the morning we had to switch sides to try and stop the pain. Meanwhile the ceiling fan light bulb burned out and when on the ceiling fan itself was shaking so badly I thought it was going to come loose and fly apart and while laying there I m still smelling the musty smell. Next I thought I would take a shower boy was that a surprise the water pressure was so low the water barley came out it was kinda hard to get wet. We told all these things to the staff the next day and they said oh all that could be fixed in just minutes lol and they never had these kind of complaints about room 6 I am including some photos and video if it will allow me so you can see how slow the water was running in the shower. There was one positive the free bikes that you can use to ride in the state park while staying there they were nice and we had fun biking through the park thus the reason for 1 star. We paid almost 100 bucks to stay in this place 91 to be exact it was way not worth it you are much better off paying 30 or 40 more to stay in town at a comfortable place. We have been in several 3rd world countries and this place is the kind of place you get in them countries for much less money. Oh I almost forgot they didn t even have matching knobs for the bathroom sink give me a break this should be like 39 bucks a night or less proof in pictures and video below..

Pros; Very conveniently located, clean, quiet, cozy, lots of amenities, friendly and welcoming staff. Cons: Very dated, and unreliable internet. I wish we were able to stay more than one night because there were a lot of things we were unable to take advantage of in our short stay there. There was a constant problem with the wi-fi in our room where the internet connection would just disappear, and the network was unfindable on any device, then suddenly it would reappear. Had we been staying there for more than a half-day, this would have been a problem since I rely on the internet for many things, both personal and business. I certainly would stay again if I were assured there would be no problems with the internet.

The location is excellent for entering into Peninsula state park and the owners were wonderful!!! Beds are comfortable and maybe the bathroom is a little small, but I would definitely stay here again! 5 star experience.

It seems that others have had good experiences so it's unfortunate that I am one of the few who haven't. I will be recommending against staying here to friends and family. From the beginning I was having trouble getting ahold of someone to even book a room. Then I am being told that they cannot honor my booking invoice, which I had already paid my deposit on, because an employee made a mistake and I apparently wasn't supposed to get the package that I received on the weekend I was to be staying. Now I'm left scrambling to find another hotel for the weekend I'm supposed to be in town. Very poor customer service. In reply: First of all, you did not offer "to waive our policy and make an exception for the festival weekend and figure out what the cost would be". You simply asked that I pick a different weekend. Secondly, I had already paid your 50% deposit of what the cost would be when I made the reservation. How can you just change what I would be paying from what the invoice says. When I called to make the reservation I specifically asked for the special and was told I had received the special. The price on my invoice reflected the price of the special. Both I and your employee obviously didn't realize that this was an event weekend. I wasn't coming there for the event and it's not my responsibility to know when all of Door County's events are, it's your employees. Also, because of how the special was worded on your website, there was confusion about whether this was a two night package or three night package. After discussing it with your employee it was determined that the package was three nights. I do see that you have addressed this issue already on your website as that was also a mistake and the website now clearly states two nights.Once it was realized on your end that it was an event weekend, instead of honoring the invoice, you decided to back track and state that the special package items listed on the bottom of my invoice were just there to let me know about the special and were not actually included, even though my invoice reflected the package price. Had I been told all of this when I made my reservation, I absolutely could have just changed the weekend I was to stay at your hotel. However, being told over a month later that you could not honor my invoice, I'm no longer able to change my time off from work or coordinate different plans. I suggest that you either start training your employees better or practice better customer service by honoring what your employees are offering and the invoices your guests have paid.

Quaint and cozy. Only issue is we were afraid we were going to break the bed. It sounded like it was going to collapse. Very clean and felt very safe even in the middle of the pandemic. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
