The drive from Sturgeon Bay is a bit long. The road in egg harbor is under construction, so the detour takes you out of the way. Julies hotel is wonderful, quiet, and prices were the best in the area. My one issue is that the floors are heated and the temperature doesnt drop under 70 degrees. So middle of winter, I had to use the A/C. I dont like to do that at all.

I'd make this a zero if I could. We made a reservation earlier this week for today. Unfortunately, our dog had to have emergency surgery today so we called to cancel our reservation and to see if we could reschedule and not lose our deposit. We realize we were canceling the day of and according to the hotels strict policy we forfeit our deposit, even though we asked if we could reschedule for another day. Evidently you can cancel if the weather is bad but not if your family pet had emergency surgery. NOT SO PET FRIENDLY AND TOTAL LACK OF EMPATHY.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Nice hot shower. Great location. My only complaint is that the light outside the door is so bright. I was glad I had my eye mask with me. We ate at the cafe for breakfast. I had the breakfast tacos they were very good. I don't remember what my husband had, but he liked it. We vacation in Fish Creek every year, and this will be our new place to stay.Nearby activities: By the entrance to Peninsula State Park. You can walk or bike from the motel.Walkability: Close to all the shops and auditorium.

Five night stay the last week of September. Stayed in duplex #7 at Countryside Cabins. Check-in was super easy and the room was ready at 3:00 when we arrived. The cabin is cute and very clean. I always take a couch cover on trips with our dogs, but this cabin has two couches. Fortunately Julie s has a pet box in the cabin with a blanket to throw on the couch and towels to dry pets if needed. The box even included a couple dog biscuits. My dogs loved those! I saw the biscuits available for purchase at the cafe.We accidentally shut and locked the bedroom door one morning and couldn t find any way to open it. Called the office and within 10 minutes maintenance was there to unlock it. Five stars of appreciation for the quick response! We had breakfast twice at Julie s Parkside Cafe. First time we sat on the pet friendly patio with our two dogs, and several other people also had their pet companions with them that morning. The second time we left the dogs at the cabin and ate indoors. Yucel was our server both mornings and he could not have been any nicer or attentive. I had the Earth Breakfast to which I added bacon, with rye toast and cherry juice to drink. It was very filing and delicious.

BEWARE. Countryside cottages is owned by same person, but they don t allow reviews on that page. Now I know why.We rented one of the cottage for last weekend, we ended up leaving after an 1/2 hour and finding other accommodations. We were met with spider webs in the face, an overwhelming musty/moldy odor. Each additional room we entered also had spiderwebs. Obviously no one had been through there in a while. We contacted management, they stated the room had been cleaned and they know about the odors. They stated we do our best to describe that on description. After reviewing listing on booking site, the only thing we found was calling the cabin NOSTALGIC!!!!No acceptable accommodations for anyone to stay in. Wish we would have taken more photos.

The room was good size, 2 queen beds, clean. The bathroom was large. It was fine but nothing special. Few amenities. For those who can't climb steps you need to reserve a first floor room since there is no elevator. The beds were comfortable but you might want to bring your own pillows. Noisy outside due to very loud creaking of the walkway. Parking was a small problem. The cafe was really good. I would stay there again.

A perfect DC vacation spot.Take your dog with because this charming motel welcomes dogs, with a convenient pee pee patch of grass right across the parking lot.The rooms are clean, modern and well kept. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The cafe is nearby with fast, easy to order food especially if you re traveling with kids and can t spend three hours on lunch. You can also order online and your food will be ready fast and easy. And a short walk into town!

Great location in Fish Creek! Updated rooms, very clean and comfortable. Room 200, I would request it again. The cafe is so cute and the food was delicious. We got the pot roast sandwich and the crispy chicken sandwich for lunch. I think we might need to come back to eat before we leave! The staff at both the cafe and motel are very friendly too!

Julie's Park Cafe loves their breakfast. We went to year end sell off. They make all food, pecan rolls, pancakes, waffles, french toast, eggs many different ways, anything you want that was not on buffet they will make it. $16 for all you can eat! It was awesome

My wife and I had brunch here every day we were in Door County. As a result, we tasted most of the things on the menu. There wasn't anything we didn't like. The food and portions were very tasty and good, respectively; the staff was very nice, friendly and accommodating. My wife really enjoyed the desserts and other people did too, as many times they were sold out. The outdoor patio (mostly shaded by umbrellas or trees) was very enjoyable: one can see a lot of interesting "traffic" go in and out of Peninsula state park as well as some very cute and well behaved pets.

Very charming local cafe. The service was excellent, even though they were pretty busy, and the food was good. I also thought the prices were very reasonable. It was also very family friendly. My 6yo loved the food and that they have a little prize box for kids after they're done eating. Overall, a very nice experience. We will definitely make this a regular stop when we come to Door County.

Had one of the worst belgian waffles of my life here. Dry and not fluffy at all like maybe they over cooked it. My husband enjoyed his stuffed French toast though. And the booths are super uncomfortable. The food came out super fast but I most likely wouldn t return.

We stopped at the cafe on our way home from Peninsula State Park and did not stay at the motel. As always, we stopped because my wife is gluten-free and cross contamination is an issue and Julie's can accommodate. I, as always, took the opportunity to enjoy all the gluten and indulged in the cherry crepes. I was not disappointed. The coffee mugs are cute but the coffee itself was only acceptable. Overall, worthy of the crowd it had on a Sunday morning.

Great location and friendly flexible staff. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. That said, if you re a light sleeper this may not work for you. While the rooms have good blinds, the ambient light coming from around the windows light the room to the level of a dim restaurant. Also, our room on the second floor, we heard every footstep on the walkway outside our door. Add to that extra-firm foam pillows and rough polyester sheets I just couldn t get a good nights sleep.

The rooms were clean and it is in a fine location. If you just want somewhere to sleep it's great. If you like amenities at all this is not the place to stay. It literally has none. Not even a microwave in the room if you want one you have to pay extra.Noteworthy details: No amenities. No pool. No gym. No microwave in room unless you pay extra. No breakfast...there is a restaurant attached and they dont even give a discount if you stay in the hotel.

Breakfast - we ate on the patio. All shade. Food and coffee were decent, but I've had better in Door Co. I got the veggie omelet which didn't come with cheese, I added the feta but it wasn't enough - it was basically veggies folded in an egg. The side of fruit was fresh. I loved the cute little flower pot coffee cups. The service was good, but some of the servers had an unclean appearance.

I was a bit confused by the super good ratings on here but when I went digging I found a similar experience to mine. If you cant sleep with noise...go else where. The walls are soooo thin and when people go up the stairs its like an earthquake. I was in a handicap accessible room and the bathroom sink was falling off the wall. It is definitely dog friendly...barking...all the time. I also don't understand when things like a moldy shower curtain can't be replaced. I just would only recommend if you haaave to. There are so many nice hotels and lodging in the area to stay at over this. I have also eaten at the restaurant in the summer and it's extremely average. Again, so many great places to stop over this.I will say the girl working the front desk was extremely friendly and kind.

Labor Day weekend. Door County was nuts, lots of traffic and crowds, but Julie's wasn't too busy so we swung in for some lunch. I had a turkey bacon avocado on surprisingly decent gluten free toast and some very tasty Asian slaw, with sesame oil and sunflower seeds. My partner had a spinach salad with crispy chicken and blood orange (!) vinaigrette. Fresh iced tea, friendly and fast service. Recommend

We did not stay at the Motel but we were told a great breakfast (all day) was to be found at the cafe. At 11:30 on a Thursday we were seated immediately. The staff was very efficient and the food was ordered and received within minutes. But the speed did not diminish the flavor; the pancakes were huge, and fluffy, and did we taste some vanilla? Yum no matter what it was. The eggs benedict with hash browns was gone as fast as it was delivered. The meal was price appropriate. But, we ordered two Mochas (hot coffee) to go, and at $8 each, it was a waste of money. It was not hot and the lack of flavor assured us that we didn't finish them before they were tossed out shortly after we drove away. Save the money for the food, and don't bother with a flavored coffee.
