When White Gull Inn turned my girlfriend and me away at 1 pm. on Easter because we didn't have unmentioned, required reservations, we headed to BaySide Tavern. We were here a couple years ago, and the brat burgers were excellent then! I enjoyed that monster of a burger, and my girlfriend loved the whitefish cakes! The atmosphere and people were friendly, with a local pastor coming in and engaging with the staff and patrons, giving this establishment a real hometown feel! Even as out-of-towners, we felt welcomed and at home!

This place is so good that even though we are only here for 4 days we've already gone for dinner twice. Both times were great. Their soup of the day has also been good both times. (the other one was Creamy Tomato but I was too hungry to snap a pic) The service was excellent, you get good portions, and their prices are reasonable. Fair warning it is a sit yourself place and it fills up quick. Also those who don't like noise probably should skip this place as it can get noisy. (But I don't mind - especially when the food is good)

While the atmosphere and location are great there are some issues to be aware of. First, and most importantly is that you need to be aware that they are backfilling their liquor bottles with cheaper liquors - specifically I ordered a basic well known bourbon and got something I thought was someone else s drink as it tasted like rum. I asked them that perhaps it was just an error as it s loud (which is fun) and watched them remake the drink MK this time making sure to watch which bottle they used. As the bartender quickly set the drink down and ran away there was never an acknowledgment of an oops or sorry and just acted like it must be me. The second drink tasted the same like rum, which I had my wife taste as she extremely dislikes the smell and taste of bourbon and she confirmed there was no bourbon in the glass. Be aware if they are this bad ethically with cocktails, there is no telling how many food handling and safety practices they are lax on - heads up to be safe. Also as mentioned in other reviews only 1 of 3 working bartenders would acknowledge anyone at the bar so there s that also.

We are frequent visitors and am shocked at how we were treated today. Service was horrendous and it wasn t busy at all. Plenty of staff were there and we were completely ignored after our water was brought to us. Patrons that came in after us were helped and we were ignored. Ended up leaving after waiting 20 minutes to order food. Extremely disappointing.PS - Read the rest of the 1 star reviews, owners! The 1 star issue seems to stem from your staff (or at least one waitress in particular..)Update: the male bartender was incredibly kind to us and super helpful.

Such a cool bar. Huge wrap around bar with a lot of antique touches. Didn't have any of the food, but the drinks were amazing. They had a really good cider beer on tap.

Large interior bar, outdoor seating in back overlooking the water, great location and food served nice and hot make this a great place to stop for lunch. The side cheese curds and mushrooms were very delicious and highly recommended.

Normally, this is one of our favorite stops in Fish Creek, however, last night has made me reconsider stopping here. Our service was a joke. Apparently, playing dice with the locals was more important than checking if customers needed anything. I would also suggest that listening to the customers be focused on, and as some of us can lipread, that mocking customers not be done. Our food was sub-par this visit (my ribeye sandwich was mostly gristle).Waited forever for someone to take the money for the bill; because slamming dice on the bar was obviously more important.Yes, I left a generous tip, but they didn't deserve it.

4 stars only because my debit card was charged twice. Other than that it is a fun place to stop. The staff was all very friendly and fun to chat with, drinks and food were great. Will stop again but I will make sure I use cash.

Stopped in to this place for dinner. First the good, nice beer selection and good ambiance, vibe was casual yet decent. Brewers game was on so got a bit loud at times but to me that just adds to the atmosphere. The bad, no way around it the food was terrible. My wife ordered the fish and chips, which was just thin breaded patties but was the best of the bunch. I ordered a chef salad, and whoever is in charge of preparing it had obviously never heard of a chef salad. It was seriously just a huge pile of cheap looking sandwich meat and cheese on a few spring leaves. That s it, no other veggies, no hard boiled egg, no bacon, etc. We also ordered mac and cheese for our infant son, and it was just Kraft in a bowl. Not totally unexpected for a kids menu item, but just confirmed to us their overall food prep is subpar. Overall it s a nice location, but clearly is counting on tourists passing through instead of offering decent bar type food to keep regular customers.

Busy, busy Friday night at Bayside Tavern. There were lines. Since there were only two of us, we found a seat almost right away. Our waitress was relatively new to her position, but considering the crowd we felt we received good service. Delicious beer battered walleye served with tasty baked beans and coleslaw. Highly recommend it.

Bill is an awesome bartender! Eaten here 4 times and food was prompt and service always courteous. Perfect if you are craving pizza, burgers, brats even a fish sandwich. Chili also kicked! Plus they have B&B for dessert!

The burgers were amazing, as were the sweet potato fries (worth the extra 50 cents over the regular fries). However, maybe don t come if you re a parent who has teens - my husband and I are 30 and when he ordered a drink she demanded my ID as well. So, not sure how your service will be if you want drinks and have people younger than 21 in your party. I have never once been carded when my husband ordered a drink, before tonight. The waitress also was super in a rush, it was definitely busy for a Monday night but it seemed like she would ve rather us not be there.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free buns for $1.00 extra!

Popped in for a bloody n bite. The bloody was pretty tastey, nice beer selection. We felt like one of the bar tenders didn't pay much attention to us Peeps came in after us n engaged n asked on menu, not so much for us. The other dude working did help us. We did the chili. Just a no for me...would give a second try but wasn't overly impressed

Absolutely NOT Cincinnati style chili. I ll happily come show you how to make it just no. The amount of grease was astronomical, the meat was not folded into the water in fact there was no water at all, and no cocoa. Just call it chili..or ground beef that hasn t been drained and leave it at that. Visit a Gold Star or Skyline or pick up a can from Kroger and have real Cincy chili. I should ve known better, we re in Wisconsin. However, don t claim you ve got Cincy style chili and serve manwich. Our waitress was wonderful. The cheese curds were great. Don t order the chili if you re expecting CINCINNATI style chili.

Good food and drinks, fish and chips (fish was a bit too fired) and breaded cauliflower were good. Take out cherry , service by Turkish, Romanian, and Bulgarian staff Will be back next year

Friendly waitress we chatted with for awhile but several times she seemed to forget things we asked for (pie, soup, etc). Nice atmosphere. Different from the manufactured quaintness of the rest of Fish Creek. Just a typical, friendly bar and restaurant. Kid friendly. Nice selection of beers.
