Really enjoyed staying in this spacious room that includes a living area with fireplace, patio, kitchenette and separate bedroom. It felt like a little apartment and since one night was storming, we stayed in and made a pizza in the lobby. Felt like home away from home. There is an indoor pool and outdoor pool, community patio with grilling station, lounge area in the lobby with games, snacks and free coffee/tea.I also really liked the basket exchange idea they use for housekeeping. We always had everything we needed waiting for us outside the door, when we returned from the daily adventures.Excellent stay

Loved staying here! Angie (one of the owners) is super friendly and had a lot of good recommendations for local places to eat and which attractions should be on the top of our list to check out.Somerset is very conveniently located, with many attractions within a 20-30 minute drive of each other and the hotel. It also sits right across the road from a mini golf course and less than 5 minutes away from Peninsula State Park and Sister Bay. There's coffee, tea, snacks, ice cream, and games in the office.Everything was clean and tidy, and the pool and whirlpool were great! I would highly recommend staying here. :)

We stayed here for two nights in room 103, it was gross. I hate to leave a bad review but I feel totally deceived about the condition of the rooms. Every review I read mentioned how clean and updated the rooms are, well room 103 needs a major update. In our room the carpet was wet and the room smelled like dirty feet and sweaty boys, after a few hours the bottoms of my feet were black. In the bathroom we were able to at least take a hot shower but we were only given two very thin body towels, every hotel we stay at gives at lease four. The toilet, when you needed to flush the toilet you have to pray really hard that it goes down, plumbing needs to be updated.I feel for the money that we spent it was overpriced.

My only regret was that we didn't get to stay here longer. It was our first time in Door County and we had a lot of questions about what to do, the front desk was very helpful and gave us great recommendations. The pool was great, and the location is great just around the corner from restaurants in Sister Bay. The rooms are a bit dated but that seems to be the standard for Door County and they were plenty spacious.

The best place to stay in Door County! Perfect location, spacious, clean, comfortable rooms and amenities make this place second to none! We come to this Inn every year for the past 10+ years and always surprised by the updates and improvements waiting for us. Thank you, Angie and Matt for our one of the greatest yearly vacation we always look forward to! Highly recommended!

We went there last year for vacation. Intending on staying 2 nights, price was right, location was ideal, and the room and hotel was clean. The people in the lobby were really nice. They had a clean pool, and the room was spacious and awesome. We stayed an extra night, they were more then happy to accommodate us, cleaned the room, and we got the room that we had before back, which was really nice.Rooms: The rooms were big, spacious, and were very homey and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The rooms were clean and the gas fireplace was a wonderful romantic touch we didn't know we needed! ( Hubby said the full size coffe maker was a huge plus!)The gas firebowl and gas grill outside were much appreciated and everything is well kept. They even have grill utensils !The hot tub was well utilized after a day of hiking. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

We were very happy with our stay. The property is in a perfect location between Fish Creek and Sisters Bay, two of our favorite towns to shop and eat. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and well kept with beautiful flowers. The the pool area was clean and nice patio areas to sit with tables & umbrellas. We had a personal issue of a lost item and Angie was sweet to call me and worked with us to find the item. We will be staying here again on our next Door County visit. Thank you.

Such a cozy little place! Thanks to heavy rain, we ended up spending more time there than expected, so I was grateful to be in such a comfortable place. The tiny kitchen nook was perfect for our needs, and the fireplace and in-room hot tub made our stay feel magical. Room was clean - except for the coffee table, which was a little sticky, and the location was peaceful, yet perfectly situated between our favorite towns. Pool was also a perk, and for any fellow EMF sensitive folks, this place is far enough from cell towers and power lines without disrupting service - I desperately hope 5G doesn't change that.

This has been a very pleasant trip for us! The rooms are very clean, comfy and I loved my pillows. Angie and Staff are very attentive and helpful in keeping the hotel friendly and clean. There was always someone working putting in clean towels in the pools, mowing lawn, emptying garbages. Mature trees and pretty garden plants. Kids love the outside pool the most! Our dog was welcomed here and enjoyed our vacation with us in a pet friendly room. Door County coffee 24/7 in the lobby! We are thankful to have found this gem and will stay again.

The staff was very nice and welcoming. Room rates were good with a great location! They had two pools with a hot tub that was a plus. The only things I would have to complain about was the room smelled like smoke when we were suppose to have a non smoking room, it made it hard on my Asthma and allergies, the floors had dust andlooked like they needed to be mopped.Overall our trip was great!

A friend that goes to Door County annually warned me that most 2 and 3 star hotels aren t clean and even some 4 star ones are bad too. After research I chose this place, booked with Expedia and shortly after I received an email from the hotel that was very welcoming and I immediately felt we made a great choice. The staff is very friendly, which is becoming rare nowadays. Check in was a breeze. Complimentary Door County coffee in the morning. Indoor and outdoor pools. Mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. Air conditioning was cool and easy to use. Beds were comfy. Flat panel tv in the rooms too. Outdoor area with grills built into a nice brick area and a gas fire pit! Met a couple, Brad and Heather from Milwaukee WI and they have been coming here for 8 years and love it. Said they are always taking care of the property and improving it, like the fire pit. We will be back and I highly recommend this place!

Hotel is not fancy and older but I would highly recommend. They heat the outside pool nicely, the kids loved it even more than inside and it was only 55 degrees outside! The hot tub is so much larger than other places we've stayed too. Lastly, there is a pet friendly wing, which is what brought us here to start. This is the first time bringing the dog with us and couldn't be happier.

Very disappointed by this place aside from the very nice clerk at the front desk. She was kind and attentive. However, I couldn't believe I was being greeted by several toddler age children roaming the halls and in unoccupied rooms. Apparently they were children of the cleaning staff. One had a full stinky diaper..Stepped over a chicken leg in the hallway on my way to my room, dropped by said toddler...The room was filthy. If the entire Door County area wasn't completely booked solid we would have left and found another place to stay. But we where stuck. We wondered each day if the sheets and towels had been washed. They where stained and yellow.. We had a chunk of dirt on the floor the entire time we stayed. I know they have a vacuum. I saw it. But it never got used in my room. Was thoroughly disgusted each night going to bed.To make it worse, the only AC in the suite is in the sitting area.. so the separate bedroom was always so hot.We traveled with some family members & the pull out bed in the sofa of their room was covered in cereal from prior guests...or maybe the cleaning staff's children. Will find other accommodations next time I go to DC.

Our family loves staying at the Somerset Inn. We have been coming here for the last several years. The staff are really nice and the rooms are clean. The best thing for us is that we can bring our dogs. They keep the rooms so clean that you would never know that there were ever dogs in this room! They also have several quiet, comfortable areas to sit and relax inside and outside around the grounds which I think is a really nice touch. It reminds you that you`re on vacation and it`s okay to put your feet up and relax! We have stayed at many places in Door County and this is by far the best place to stay

I'd give 5 stars but when we arrived exhausted after 16 hours travel we were told we had cancelled our reservation! Someone screwed up somewhere and the town was full...Happy to report Angie found us another hotel for the night and paid for it too. Then she was able to give us our reserved suite for the next 7 nights. It was perfect. Sure, it's a little dated but clean and an excellent value. Loved the pool and hot tub.

Somerset has some designated pet friendly rooms, and that's where we stayed since we had our fur baby with us. The hotel is older, but clean with cable TV, our room had a small fenced patio area with chairs so even the dog could get fresh air. However, the fence openings and bottom are fairly wide, so wouldn't work for small dogs unless leashed. The hotel has an indoor pool and hot tub, as well as an outdoor pool. They go out of way to make pet owners feel welcome. Our room also had a small fridge and microwave.

This is our second time here and we really enjoy staying here. It's located in nice area that has things close by but is still quiet enough to feel like you're not on top of your neighbors. There's parking and spacious rooms. The owners are very nice and there's parking as well. There a pool & hot tub here but we didn't get a chance to use it. I would come back again!

The staff at the front desk were very friendly and genuine. We had our dog with us and they have a separate bldg. for pet owners which was great! The rooms were comfortable and very clean and the balcony was private and relaxing. We were very pleased and would highly recommend staying there!

for a nice getaway this was a great experience staff was amazing and accommodating. The room feels like they have been doing some upgrading with newer floors, paint, newer bathroom upgrade and decor through out. there are dishes in the room for eating which was great for the kids. They have two pools and it is snuggled right near town but with the seclusion you still want. It is A ........you have to experience kind of place, So glad we stayed .......and sorry for messy pictures we made ourselves at home plus i dont want to divulge how nice it was! thanks Ephraim Wi!

This is a decent hotel. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, staff was outstanding and the location is very nice. However, do not expect to be walking into the local Hampton Inn! The hotel itself is dated, as it is in need of some upgrades. In fact, they will give you an actual brass key to enter your room instead of a key card you get from a chain hotel. This is NOT an issue it is just very different from what most people might be used to. The parking situation is part of what cost this hotel a 5 star rating. The parking lot is TIGHT! The other aspect of this hotel I took issue with was that there was no offering of a complimentary breakfast! There is also not exactly a lot of options for food! But all in all if you are looking for a clean and comfortable place to spend the night in the Door County area, Somerset Inn is a solid choice!

We stayed the last weekend of July of 2018 and the service was excellent. We stayed because they were pet friendly and we brought our 4 month old Standard Schnauzer. There was plenty of space to walk her and the room did not have any scent associated with what one might expect from a room designated for use with pets. We will definitely stay there again!
