We have been to this campground in the past in October, and again this Oct as well. We stay with other friends on a double site for 4 days. Very nice QUIET site surrounded by cedar trees. We take in the Pumpkin Patch festival in Egg Harbor and other attractions also.Their bathrooms and showers are super clean and plenty of them..never had to wait! Very nice all around campground. They have seasonal sites too. We will be back next year again.

We re not big campers, but when we saw that this place had yurt rentals we decided we needed to try it, and it really was the perfect amount of outdoor adventure for us, while still having some comforts and without having to invest in all kinds of camping equipment. We enjoyed making coffee over our campfire in the morning, exploring the walking trails in the campground, and took a short hike to rent kayaks and go out on the Mink River. Really nice experience.

We loved this campground! It is beautifully maintained and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Door County. We were able to seek that out when we wanted it as Ellison Bay is less than 10 minutes away and Sister Bay is about 15 minutes, but otherwise could retreat to our quiet site in the woods at Wagon Trail. The bathrooms are convenient and well-maintained, and the store had all the firewood and ice we needed. We tent camped and found the site incredibly level and easy to place our tent and back our car in. Shout out to the marina and bakery at the place next door - we were able to rent kayaks and try one of the famous pecan rolls. We also went every day to the secluded Sandy Bay Beach just a short way from the campground. We will be back again.

We haven't even left yet but I didn't want to forget to leave a review!Hands down, now one of our favorite campgrounds and we can't wait to come back! I love that it's close enough to town but also far enough away to get a break from the business. It's so quiet which we love and appreciate. Woods in between the gorgeous and beautifully groomed sites, and they're huge! Just like everyone says, the showers are sooo clean!! Such friendly campers and staff too! Kathy and Tim are the sweetest and it's apparent that they care deeply for this place.Heads up, the park you can take the trail to (Sand BayTown Park) does not allow dogs. That was a bummer but there were plenty of other great places to take our pup swimming close by! The campground is super dog friendly though :)Thanks for an awesome holiday weekend.

This is by far one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed at! The whole campground is immaculate and so well maintained. The bathrooms were so spacious and clean. The staff is nice and friendly. There is a nice camp store in case you forgot anything or want a treat with a small arcade. This is definitely a place we will come back to every summer!

We've stayed at a lot of campgrounds and this is by far the best maintained and cleanest campground we've ever been. EVERYTHING is clean and in tip-top shape. The showers and bathrooms are cleaner than most homes! The camp office is perfectly set up and has everything you need. The sights all have plenty of shade and privacy....ours even had a cute cedar limb fence. Each sight is cleaned almost immediately after campers depart, fire pits cleaned and sight pea gravel hand racked. Friendly staff too! Worth every penny!

Have been coming here for many years. The best Campground we have ever been at. VERY well kept up. Very friendly staff and owners. CLEAN. Bathrooms are air conditioned and cleaned every day. I believe they were rated #9 of the top 10 campgrounds in WI in a camping magazine. I think they should be #1Nearby activities: Quiet side of Door County, short drive to the cute towns on the west side.

Location is great if you are visiting Door County. It is within 20 minutes of everything. Camp ground hosts were very helpful. Bathrooms and showers are the nicest and cleanest I have ever seen at a campground. Campground offers both short term and seasonal sites. Free wifi at camp store but we also had good service with AT&T phones. Laundry on site. Air available for bikes and inflatables. Camp store has ice and fire wood for sale. Hot coffee available all day and it is good coffee! Can't say enough good about this campground. Thank you Wagon Trail!

Best campground we have stayed at. Staff is wonderful, restrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. You can't go wrong staying here. Stay here every year to take astrophotography images at Newport state park. Last year was special as we got engaged while staying here. So this campground will always be special for us!

Had an amazing stay in a cabin! Staff was welcoming and friendly, store has wood/kindling and even has games for you to borrow. Bathrooms were so nice and were always clean (including the showers!). Our site felt perfect with trees giving us some nice privacy. Fellow folks on the grounds were very courteous and we enjoyed making our rounds with our dog in the mornings and evenings. I will be recommending this campground to friends and we will definitely be back next year!

Very Very clean restroom facilities. They work hard to keep humidity down by running air conditioning all the time. Quiet most of the time, a few dog barks . Smoldering camp fires were a little annoying, we had to keep our rv windows closed and ac on, since some of our family can not endure smoke.Walkability: Nice walking trail through woods to get to town Beach. We were disappointed when we got there, with our dog, that no dogs were allowed.

We loved camping at the Wagon Trail Campground. The staff was so welcoming, kind, & helpful. The campground seemed to have mostly families and quieter groups. The bathrooms are newly upgraded and very clean. We can t wait to book another camping trip here soon!

Its a nice campground although the site are " too close" together, and have no privacy. There are beautiful bathrooms with hot water for showers and they have a countertop dish washing station outside with hot water for washing dishes, which is very nice.I recommend getting a site close to the bathrooms And away from the swampy area. The frogs can be very noisy. The neighbors we had in the 400's were disruptive, but they have " official quiet hours" fron 10 pm to 8am.Just be prepared for lots of noise when people leave in the morning, because the packing up of campers starts around 6am there, in my experience. So, you will be up with the sun whether or not you want to be on your last morning there.Nearby activities: Lots of close cities with things to do.Safety: I felt like this was a safe place, because its a private campground.

I stayed here for the first time in two separate campsites in one week: a hideaway tent site and a full hookup site. First the good: the grounds are well maintained and heavily wooded. The store is well stocked with the essentials. The staff is absolutely wonderful. They are kind, helpful and always have smiles on their faces. Everyone I encountered was friendly and went the extra mile to make sure I was having a good stay. The washrooms are outstanding: spotless, modern, no bugs, no smells, always fully furnished with soap, bathroom tissue, and paper towels. Truly amazing they are able to pull this off! Now the not so good: I paid extra for the hideaway tent site. It's not worth the extra $6 because the other campsites are very close by. When I complained to management about a neighbor blasting loud music they took care of it immediately- much appreciated. Unless you wear a sleep mask, be prepared to get awakened by random flashlight beams and headlights blazing through the campsite all hours of the night. To be clear the inconsiderate behavior of other campers is not management's fault, but the descriptions of these sights as hideaways was a bit misleading to me. I was expecting a little more privacy/seclusion. Thanks again to the awesome staff and management for everything!

Cannot say enough good things about Wagon Trail Campground. Kathy and Tim are excellent hosts and run a great facility with a great staff. The sites provide shaded privacy and easy access to back trailers in.The bathrooms are CLEAN - throughout the day staff are in there hourly to make sure things are tidy and well-stocked. Even the pit toilets are cleaned very regularly and well built. You'll find families and retirees, some seasonal campers and many who are here for just a couple of nights. Tents, trailers, and RVs of all sizes find their home here.On a clear night the stars are abundant and easy to view from the playground area.

Stayed there in May (2022) as our first camping trip (rookies). Very nice people! Nice store. Clean bathrooms/showers. Good spacing between sites. Great site seeing short drives away. Small playground. That was the reason for 4 vs 5 star review. Not much for a 4 year old to do on site. But, we weren't on site much at all as we were site seeing a lot. Now, having just come back from another Campground disaster trip, this place was great. Nice job staff!

This was my first stay at the Wagon Trail campground, and boy, I am impressed all around. From the roads, campsites, bathrooms, office, staff, you name it . It was all done well. Sites are well placed and private where our site. The shape of the all the sites I saw showed how much they cared about their customers. There are lots of families, but everyone is respectful and kind, which I appreciate. From a location point of view it s just a quick drive to Newport State Park and about an half hour from Peninsula State Park and Fish Creek. You don t have to stay on the busy side of the Door County to enjoy it all of what DC offers.I would encourage you to check out the Wagon Trail for your next camping trip, I would recommend it. I certainly will be back

Hidden gem of DC for sure. We just returned from a 4 night stay in one of the premier w/e sites so thought I'd leave this while fresh on my mind. This is our 3rd summer camping with our new camper and this is by far the cleanest, nicest, friendliest place we have ever stayed at. Sites are big and relatively level. The bathrooms are spotless and office store has anything you may have forgotten or cute little gifts you didn't realize you needed ;). I love the "no foraging for kindling" rule as it keeps the true state of the forest around the campground and sites. And the cinnamon and pecan rolls just down the road at Grandma's Swedish Bakery are a Must and worth mentioning!! This is a gem of a campground! Well done Wagon Trail Campground!! We will be back ( in fact we booked before we even left!)

This is by far the BEST and CLEANEST campground we've ever stayed at. We have been all over the U.S. and into Canada and have never seen such a well cared for and cleanly place. The bathrooms and showers are immaculate, even ground for tenters with good spacing of sites and a perfectly positioned club house for all campsites. They even have a great fish cleaning station, library, camp store, small arcade and playground. It is within walking distance from the lake and a fantastic little bakery for breakfast. They clean up your spot each day and rake out the area so it's like a new spot each day. This is the place to camp in Door County!
