I bring my Honda Pilot to the Car Shop for all my maintenance work. I trust their workmanship. They are thorough, reliable, and their employees are always friendly, yet professional. They keep me informed of what needs to be done on my vehicle. I highly recommend them.

The Car Shop is the absolute best in the area; they are always honest and fair. They will call with any questions and update on pricing, so there are no surprises. They did some brake work for us. The job was done promptly and the truck is operating smoothly. The guy at the service desk was friendly. They called with pricing after they looked at the problem and informed us about exactly what had to be replaced.

I have been taking a few different vehicles there and the price are pretty good. However the last time I went, they did not do all the things they said they would. They charged me twice for an oil change. When I went back in the gentleman refunded me from his own wallet. Now after the work I have had sensors going off like crazy.

We had a minor issue, the water hose clamp broke and all the fluid leaked out of the radiator, that needed to be fixed so we could get home from being in town shopping. Even though they were very busy, they got us back on the road in a couple of hours. We appreciate the friendly and expeditious service!

Had issues driving up on vacation met with Ron on Monday morning. He listened and even came and checked a few things out including oil level (thinking this might be part of the issue). It wasn't but made an appointment came back and got great service in a timely manner. All the other shops around town had no availability Ron found a way to fit me in service my vehicle for piece of mind driving back home.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

These guys are great! I woke up to my truck making a hellacious sound at start-up. No idea what it was, but it didn't sound good. Ron and his team diagnosed the issue, communicated my options and their action plan, and had me on the road within a day. They even went out of their way to help me with a warrantee claim for a faulty part that another shop had put it. If I ever find myself in need of auto repair in Eagle River, these guys would be my first call.

Last summer as we were getting to the Northwoods, we realized our brakes were leaking on our truck pulling our camper. The three hour drive home would have been unsafe. We were only camping for a week, but places we inquired at said they couldn't help us for a month or not at all. Then we stopped at The Car Shop and even though they were busy they were able to work us in and fix our brakes. The cost of the service was reasonable and they were super helpful. I would recommend them and so appreciate what they did for us.Service: Brakes

I know my parents have gone through these guys for all car repair issues for 20 plus years. They are good and friendly family guys who you can trust. I've gone there myself a lot and it's always been a great experience. Genuine fair prices. It's great to have these guys when there are so many corporate, slimy car shops you can't trust. They will even offer a ride if they have time! They absolutely deserve a 5 star rating.

Experienced 4 wheel drive issues, they got me in right away to diagnose issue and insure truck was still safe to drive until parts could arrive. I m 4 hrs from home but staying in eagle river, since fix was 3+ hrs they gave me rides to/from motel during fix. estimate was spot on other than 1 items requiring replacement which they showed me during pickup. Excellent customer service and mechanical knowledge. Highly Recommend!!!

Even when you point right to the problem, they pay no attention whatsoever. Soaked me $600 for a steering rack I didn't need, the had me order another $300 in parts for my steering. Luckily I found the problem (where I suspected and pointed out) and fixed it with 2 wrenches in less than 5 minutes! My wife and I have spent nearly $15K in repairs since moving here. Now I wonder how much of that work wasn't necessary. At the time of this writing, our Cadillac transmission cooler has gone out a THIRD TIME in 5 months. We had it towed to another shop. The real test of quality is in the integrity of the owner. No apologies, no admission of failure - just a "take your business somewhere else" attitude. That's exactly what we're doing. So disappointing when you find you've misplaced your trust.Service: General repairs

Excellent auto repair and tire shop! Ron the manager goes above and beyond in satisfying your car needs, the owner Don is there to oversee the complete operation to your every whim!They probably have the best knowledgeable crew in Vilas County!

Ron and his crew are exceptional and go the extra mile to get you back on the road safe and sound. Ron even tightened up the slack in my steering wheel when he noticed it was a little too much play and didn't even charge for his time. Very responsive, curteous and thorough.

We drove to Eagle River with a pressure problem with one tire. The car shop is extremely busy but they made time to get problem taken care of. Thank you to a great company.

I thought this place was good they changed oil in my wife s 2012 Chevy Sonic and stripped out the oil pan. They placed a make shift plug in it and didn t report any of this to me. Just found this out as I took my wife s car in for an oil change. Extremely disappointed, can no longer recommend this business. In the event that it was a previous business that did this, I wish they would have reported what they found.

We were 300 miles from home and had problems with our brakes. Googled where to go and chose The Car Shop. They were too busy to help us but did call around and found us a place that could do it. I am from out of town. I needed a new alternator. They squeezed me in & got it changed out quickly. I was back on the road to home in less than 2 hours. I will recommend my friends to stop here if they experience vehicle problems while visiting Eagle River!
