So on 11/16 my new car left me stranded at a random stop sign a block away from Mertens. So I tried to figure it out to get it up to Mertens but it wouldn't start so I put it in neutral and pushed it up to Mertens where I was treated so respectfully and I was greeted with a smile and they answered my questions along the way, they addressed every concern I had and made me feel at ease about my car. I believe in giving credit where credit is due and I was and always am very happy with this auto shop. There super affordable and there just always making sure you leave with out questions and with a smile and not a empty wallet. Thank you Mertens for being so professional and polite and helpful you guys really made this experience so easy and I'm so thankful

Nobody ever wants to have to call a tow truck, but when I called Merten's, they showed up in less than 15 minutes (I was close to their location) and took care with my vehicle.

By far the best most honest and affordable mechanics around. They are always there for you and will not try to rip you off or repair more than you really need like most others, and are always open and up front with the costs. Very friendly and family run this place is the best!

The people there treat you like part of the community. They do great work, and they are fairly priced. If they can't fix your car, then no one can. Trust me, this is the one!

I called because of a flat tire. They came to my location in less than 20 minutes. Towed it to their shop and fixed the tire all in less than an hour. They are always my go to shop.

Amazing that we could make arrangements out of state to have a vehicle towed to a local storage facility. We're 1800 miles from the point of purchase and with the help of friendly locals, we were able to find a safe place to store the vehicle until late winter/early spring. Thank you for your proficiency and excellent service.

I will definitely be using Mertens as my mechanic from now on! Very honest and dependable and won't charge you for work you don't need done. They have been in business for over 60 years and now I know why! Great family owned Auto shop. Ms Peggy and the mechanics are super nice and friendly. Here from Texas for work and broken control arm. They went out of the way to get me fixed the same day. Went to get a new tire put on rim, and was like explaining chinese rocket science to a wall.....i dont know how youbget confused with flat tires....didnt trust them with tools and walked out....do not reccomend....they overcharge as well....which i wouodnt mind if ot came with competency at least

Mertens has taken care of all my automotive needs for 30 yrs. They are awesome, kind people and do great work. Our community is blessed to have them. They go the extra mile to help. They have rescued me many times. I will miss them greatly when I move. Thanks for everything!

They do auto repair right and stand behind their work. They have gone above and beyond what I expect from an auto repair shop. They are friendly, reliable and will work with you to schedule an appointment. They also have towing. My family and I have been going there for 9 years. Also they are a DMV authorized station so I get my license plates/emission test there every year.

I came here to renew the tags for my car as I do every year because I don't know of any other place in town that we can renew our vehicle tags. This year their "machine" was down so I left, and returned a few more times during that month. Their "machine" was still down . . . for almost that entire month. Finally, they told me to go to the car dealer just outside of town. Now, normally I wouldn't have a problem with that because, afterall, technology isn't very reliable. However, the reason I have a MAJOR problem this time, is because they should have told me about the dealer earlier. But due to them waiting a month to tell me - I had to pay a late fee. I wouldn't have had to do that if they were upfront in the beginning. Because of this I'm no longer going to be going here. There's no acceptable reason for them to do this: make me pay a late fee. Because of their negligence, they should reimburse me that money.

Merten's Auto and Towing provide quality work at an honest cost and go above and beyond in doing so. The mechanics are highly skilled and educated on the ever changing protocols for today's vehicles. Got pulled out today, was quoted between $70-90 on the phone, charged $200. Literally took them less than 5 minutes to pull me out of my driveway.b couldn't believe it. Had I known I would have waited and pulled myself out with a chain using my other truck. Not cool, shady way to conduct business.

Peggy was AMAZING!!! We were in a huge pinch, over three hours from our business, with our employees broke down in Burlington. I googled service centers and found Merten's Auto & Towing and called in a panic as the day was drawing to a close. Peggy was more than helpful, not only with promising to help us service our vehicle, but in aiding us in finding a rental vehicle and getting my employees to it. Tried to call to get an emissions test done on two separate days. First time, the person answering the phone was very rude. Second time, no one even picked up the phone when I called on two separate occasions. Guess I'll try elsewhere.

They damaged my mother's break lines. When I came to pick it up I had no breaks when I went to drive away and almost crashed. They didn't want to take responsibility for it either. Nobody I know will ever go here again and I've known these people for years. Sad.
