I m always impressed with Lutter s communication. Every time I bring my car in I get a detailed electronic report with photos, descriptions, and costs for every issue found. I am a young female that does not know a lot about cars. My check engine light came on my car so I searched around for places to take it. Lutter's had great reviews so I decided to go here.Online appointment making was fast and easy. I was able to get it in the next day as soon as they opened. By mid day Mark texted me with the inspection report. I was able to look it over and see what needed to be fixed and how much it would cost. I called back and Mark explained to me what was the cause of my problem and did not pressure me to get any unnecessary work done.Since it had to do with the engine I'm am just thankful and happy they did not charge me an arm and a leg to get it fixed. I brought my car in for a normal service and Mark was very helpful! Prices are fair and service is great. Used this repair shop for my daughter's car while she was working in the Brookfield area for the summer.Pricing was high. Mark-ups on parts and supplies seemed high too but she was not in a position to shop around. Diagnostics were performed beyond the scope of the repair requested and appeared to be an effort to "up-sell" for things that were really not necessary. This caused my daughter to perceive her car was not roadworthy and felt as though there was an attempt to take advantage of her as an "out of town" female customer.They also left oily rags and tools in the cabin of her car. She was able to make the trip back home without any further brake problems, so we are happy about that. Time will tell if the repairs made were good so it is premature to comment on workmanship.Service: Brakes

We don't take our cars anywhere else. Lutter's is upfront and honest and we've never been disappointed with their work. It's also convenient for us that they have loaner vehicles while they work on ours. Have moved into the area recently and Lutter's has quickly become my go-to for all future auto needs. Went in for an oil change then a couple weeks later to get my car winterized per recommended services from the previous inspection. Mark and his team were incredibly friendly, honest, and efficient. Have noticed an improved difference in performance after they worked on my car and not a minute too soon before this year's winter weather hit. Started as a simple tire repair several years ago. Now I have all my vehicles serviced at Lutters. My daughters too. Their prices are reasonable and way better than dealerships. Not a discount place but fair prices and their service has been excellent. Parts they use are top grade. Need to make an appointment best to drop the care off for the day but many times they call me by noon and its ready. I recently bought a used car from them too. Excellent, show room condition. Jay wouldn't let the vehicle leave their shop until it was in perfect order. Mark has been a trustworthy and honest manager there. They don't try to separate me from my money. 2019 Nissan Sentra, 2003 Buick LeSabre, 2013 Nissan and my Toyota (before I sold it) PM's and everything else. Helped me pass emissions on the Buick. Good technicians that can troubleshoot. Very pleased. Lutters is my first choice to call.

Lutter's is amazing! Their whole process is smooth, efficient, and modern. I recently needed a standard service and this is how it went.Scheduling an appointment can be done online. I did this thinking it would take a while to hear back, but they responded within an hour to schedule.I dropped off my car and the 2 people were extremely respectful and pleasant. I felt comfortable leaving my car and the service in their hands.When the inspection was done, I got a text with a full digital report. It listed everything they looked at with recommendations and prices to fix things. The text said to read through and call them with what I wanted done.I did price comparisons and they had very reasonable prices. So I called back with what I wanted done and they finished in about an hour.For one of the things that needed attention, they said my dealer might be able to fix it under warranty. They actually told me I might get an issue fixed somewhere else!!! That's how HONEST these guys are.I 100% recommend Lutter's for anyone near Brookfield!

I won t go anywhere else. They re fast, efficient, well versed and professional. My favorite part is that they use this website link they text to you with all the areas of concern they find for the car with a level of necessity rating and an estimate of price for each issue found. If you re a gen z or millennial, you will LOVE the way they communicate. I literally will not go anywhere else. Had a great experience with Lutter's. Took my car for an emissions test, and when I arrived there was a long line. Their process was efficient and quickly got through the line. The person performing the test and the person at the front counter were both friendly and inviting. Much better experience than other shops I've visited, I will be going to Lutter's for vehicle repair in the future.Service: Auto emissions testing

I was SO disappointed with Lutters. I will never go back to them again. Took it in for a tire rotation and Oil change. They never told me the price for those two basic services and when I came to pick it up they wanted to charge 167!!!! I only had 137 so he made it 136.92. Really nice. He said your car requires full synthetic. Yeah it can also take semi synthetic according to Firestone. So that s a lie off the bat. I normally take my car to Griswold Auto, and for tire rotation and full synthetic oil, it s always $80.00! So for doing the exact same thing, Lutters wanted to charge more than double!!!!!! Not to mention I made my appointment 3 weeks ago! It was t like they did me a favor and squeezed me in. Horrible business, horrible customer service. I did thank him for knocking 30 off so it left me with 1.00 in my account. Rip off place and I will never go again and tell as many people as I can!

I have been going to Lutter's for over 10 years, most recently for a catalytic converter replacement. The work is always excellent, the people are friendly and informative, and they do the work in the time frame they give you and the prices are very reasonable. They're the best!

Excellent service and performance all around! I was in a pinch, needing a place to tow my car, 2 days b4 Christmas Eve, worried that my car was gonna need a new transmission (I always gotta think the worst right?) Upon inspection, they saw it was the Right Front Drive Shaft Axle. And they had the part in stock. I got my car back sooner than excpected. I will definitely talk to them about future services Lutter's had great reviews and not far from home. Mark answered, he was personable, professional, and honest. The receptionist was very nice and helpful too (Sadly I can't remember her name..)

One of the only places in my area that consistently does emissions testing. Had a check engine light and first took it to the dealership they claimed to have fixed it but low and behold it came back. Then took it to Lutters and they took the time to properly diagnose and found and fixed the problem. Would highly recommend.

It is always difficult to find a good knowledgeable shop that is also honest and affordable. Lutter's is one of those rare exceptions.Lutter's is a family owned and run business. I came to them on a recommendation from a coworker that attends the same church that one of the mechanics attends. My coworker spoke of the excellent service and how well they explain everything to her.I was having transmission issues, which everyone knows is expensive and never fun to deal with. I took the vehicle here for a second opinion since the repairs were going to be very expensive and I needed to know if anything else was going wrong with the vehicle to see if it was worth fixing. Lutter's looked at the car and did an amazing job breaking down and prioritizing all of the issues my vehicle was facing, explaining how necessary each repair would be and giving me recommendations based on what they would do if it were their own car. They advised against some unnecessary repairs the first shop tried to sell me and gave some other great advice that the other shop neglected to mention.They had the vehicle fixed in a reasonable amount of time. My wife was the one that picked up the vehicle and she was incredibly impressed how well they explained all of the issues and repairs to her. She said she has never felt so comfortable talking to a mechanic before and that they did an outstanding job explaining everything to her in terms that she could understand.Letter's Elmbrook Automotive is honest, affordable, and reliable with top notch customer service.

I had a fantastic experience with Lutter's. After receiving a long and expensive quote from a different shop, I took my car here for a 2nd opinion. They accurately diagnosed what was actually wrong with the car and were able to do the work for 1/3 of the price. Further, they were able to do so the same day I brought it in. Car has been running great ever since. They were quick, professional, and honest and Mark was extremely helpful and pleasant. Will not be going anywhere else in the future. Thanks!

Friendly, very professional at all times. Pricey, but all car repair shops are. Make sure recommended repairs pass the reasonableness test. They are very realistic about what to fix vs. what to pass on for an older high-mileage car, which is helpful. Recommend to be very clear up-front about when you want car finished if you drop off after hours.

Car was making an unusual sound. Thought it was a wheel bearing but they test drove it and put it on the lift and verified that the wheel bearings are all in good shape. In order to further investigate the sound, they very easily loaned me a loaner car while keeping my vehicle overnight. While I did read some negative reviews before scheduling my appointment, I also understand that you cant expect to make every single person happy, especially in the automotive business. That being said, their customer service is very professional and very friendly. They are extremely helpful and very honest. Theyve earned my trust and I will be a return customer for all of my future vehicle issues. I highly recommend lutters elmbrook automotive. Thanks again guys.

Bob and Dan were very professional and knowledgeable. Initially went to get my oil changed and emissions test done, but hadn't done general maintenance on my car in a while (drove it from CA to WI about a year ago) so I had them do a full inspection. Very impressed with the online system they use. They will text you a link for your online report showing the inspection results. Very convenient to access and keep for the future. Didn't feel pressured or like they were trying to upsell me on anything.

Will not be taking my vehicles any place else but Lutters. Dan and Mark give excellent customer service, always have taken the time to answer all my questions no matter how basic, making me feel like a valued customer. Mechanics do a great job keeping the car owners aware of overall integrity of their vehicles. Can't ask for a better service. Highly recommend!!

I went there knowing exactly what I wanted and was to diagnose a misfire. I told them we already checked ignition parts and injectors and they told us to go through with some type of cleaning that cost $300. Now knowing that many things could cause a misfire, I have expected to have my car checked for vacuum leaks and compression, but instead they recommended this cleaning. After I explained it, they even straight up told me that the cleaning would not fix the issue at all but it would just reduce the symptoms. As someone who just wanted to get my car fixed, I really just needed the diagnosis. The guy on the phone I talked to seemed pretty ready to go through with some tests but when I went there the guy at the desk was not budging. I'm sure that getting my engine cleaned would be good but I'd like to fix the thing that's making my engine dirty first as common sense. Seemed a little sketchy. Make sure to get multiple opinions always as it is safe. Should've asked for the guy who I talked on the phone with to help me.

Lutters has always been great on service and honesty. You pay a little more than other places, but I have never worried about my car being done correctly. My whole family uses Lutters as a result of their integrity as a family business.

Emission testing is done here! The physical environment is clean and comfortable for waiting. The service was professional, fast and friendly. I chose Lutter after reading high reviews. It easily gets a 5 star rating and I recommend it if you are a woman who has to get e-testing done and want be in a respectful and family friendly environment as you wait.

I was a first time customer. It was great to be able to schedule appointment online. Clean waiting area, friendly service manager and they did exactly what they said they would do and did it in the time frame I was given. Nice print out of vehicle inspection and what to expect is due in the coming months. I will continue to get maintenance and service work done here.

Lutter's is the perfect car shop for someone who knows nothing about cars. Bob and his staff have been consistently honest with me about what things I should be fixing and what things would just be unnecessary. If you're worried about getting ripped off, this is the perfect place for you. Complete honesty and transparency here -- love them! Thank you, Bob and Staff members! You're phenomenal!
