I never leave review nor do I ever leave negative reviews. Went there for 2 new front tires. Paid over $550 for them. Two weeks later, one of the new tires went flat. Another week later, that tire pressure on that tire went out. Then the second new tire went flat too. Now I'm starting to be concerned. They wanted another $450 so I said fine but I told the staff many times that the tire went flat when we were out of town and we put a spare on but rotated the tires so that the spare is on the back and not on the front for safety reasons. I asked them multuple times to rotate it when they put the new tire on so that both new tires are at the front. Sure enough, when I showed up, one new tire was on the back, and the other one was on the front. I spoke to the staff again, and after already paying over $1000, he said we can put it in the garage again and rotate them if u want to pay for a tire rotation. At this point I got upset and is just done w them. The staff never listens and act like they don't even want to be there. I'm worried that they are even demaging or purposely doing things to have u keep coming back for more repairs. They give u run around answers and it all feel scamming. 2 new tires end up costing us over $1000! I should have just taken my loss at the beginning and go elsewhere. If u experienced anything like this please leave a review! Places will not change until enough people leave reviews! Go read thier reviews on Yelp. So many others had the same experience!

After looking at the reviews my experience shouldn t have been a surprise. Car was dropped off because of check engine light. Quoted $800 for full coil replacement. Called around and received much cheaper quotes. Went to pick up the car and was told it wasn t ready? Tech talked in circles about the process they go trough and the reasons they needed to put the car back together. Went to pay for the diagnostics and was charged extra fees for rags and environmental costs. Asked if that applied to hooking up a computer to my car? Fees were waived. Arranged to pick car up after hours with bill paid. Got a call after 5 stating that we could no longer pick up the car because we didn t sign the receipt. Seemed like this was punitive for questioning the extra fees. Had to take time off work to pick up the car this morning. Coil was replaced at another shop for $150, no hidden charges for rags or environmental

We needed to obtain our bi-annual vehicle emissions diagnostic and inspection in order to renew our registration with the State of Wisconsin. We took our vehicle to the place we used for our last test only to discover they were no longer performing the service. When kindly asked to refer us to the closest reputable alternative, we were directed to a dealership on HWY 100 in Wauwatosa. The dealership was available to test our vehicle right away, we drove right in and a friendly gentleman handled the process, while we waited. After 15 minutes, the tech emerged form the garage to inform us our vehicle had failed the test, and he did not know why other than it seemed something was wrong with our OBD reader. He suggested we take it to the manufacturer's local dealer service department for repair. He also apologized explaining his printer was not printing for some reason so he was unable to give us any paperwork.Frustrated with this (as our vehicle is in excellent repair), we took our leave rather than looking to speak with a manager about the printer. Got back in the car and called our tech at our local manufacturer's dealership (who does not perform emissions testing), and explained the scenario. Our tech explained they receive calls like this occasionally and he suggests taking the vehicle to another center to test again before bringing it in.We went for a car wash and oil change for a vibe check and energy reset. After the oil change we asked the tech if they may refer us to a nearby reputable center for vehicle emissions testing. The tech recommended Gordon's No 1 Services & Tire (Google also list's them as Gordons #1 Auto Repair Service). Upon arriving we were pleased to find a clean facility in great repair. They were easy to find and had ample parking. Walking in we were kindly greeted, and served promptly. They had a comfortable waiting area, and after 15 minutes returned our vehicle to us with a passing emissions test! When I asked how long before we will be able to renew our registration, the tech said, "About 30 seconds ago." :) We had a wonderful experience at Gordon's and are happy to recommend their services to our community.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection, Auto emissions testing, Vehicle safety inspection

Lazy-unwilling to go the extra mile to help a 16 year old get his first emission test.Stop doing emission testing if you are going to have poor attitude about doing them!!

We have used them a few times for oil changes and minor repairs but this is about their unprofessional business. See their website (photo attached) which lists different times for being open/closed top, middle and bottom. No consistency in what they state are their hours. However the DOT sign on their building provides times for emissions testing within the variety of open hours. Unfortunately, upon arrival at 815 on Saturday morning (today), their staff sent us away and told us to come back Monday. We specifically located an emission testing facility we have used for other services that provided availability on a Saturday. My son drove in from Texas late Friday and is leaving on Wednesday very early. We made plans as their sign clearly stated this service is available.Get your act together and provide accurate advertising. This is supposed to be a drive in service without appointments. Either provide what you advertise or get rid of the sign. Gordon s has succeeded in screwing up family plans for the 4 short days we have together.

I called earlier in the week to get a price on transmission fluid service. Man on the phone of course asked make & model, put me on hold, and came back with a [reasonable] price. I scheduled the service. Few days later, drop it off. 30 minutes go by, they call me (I walked to work), and now the transmission service price is double. Not $50 or $100 more. Double. I ask, 'How does this happen?' He basically told me time & material. I said neither of these have changed from when I was given a price on the phone two days ago, etc. My initial reaction was to pass on the transmission service, but to go forward with some other preventative maintenance work I had requested. After thinking it thru, I called them back, and asked them to proceed with the trans service. I really wanted this done, and my alternatives were not convenient. A few hours later, after no calls, I call to see if it's done. He's like, 'Yeah.' No phone call? I walk over to pay and pickup. The receipt looks like it was written by a child. 'Transmission service - $xxx.xx'. Same with transfer case and rear differential. I asked him, 'What fluids were used, specifically? What brand, what weight, synthetic, etc? I've never received an invoice that didn't detail time and materials ... like at all'. He had zero response. I can't believe the information provided was so basic, especially for what I considered a premium price. After an awkward blank stare (he didn't know the answer, and clearly wasn't doing a thing to find out) ... I was like, 'Whatever, ring me up. I'm done here.' I've had decent work done here in the past. I know they are not the least expensive shop ... but I chose them for what I felt was good work. Not anymore. Now I'm left with an insanely heavy bill and no idea what I actually paid for.Services: Transmission, Auto maintenance

Tried them twice, there will not be a 3rd time. Bad service, bad attitudes, overpriced. Had a cracked manifold repaired or replaced and gasket, $600+ ... about a year later the same noise was happening so I took it to a shop by my house and not one but two mechanics took a look and said the same thing, "who ever did this work on your vehicle didn't properly tighten or replace the bolts that connect the manifold to the converter" I told them Gordon's and right away they said "yea they ONCE was a good place but they've been getting bad over the years, but that's another story"I also had 2 stabilizing pins SUPPOSEDLY replaced and a fuel sensor or something. $1,100!Ok, had my brake pads done by a young man and just for the hell of it I had him check the work on the pins, his diagnosis...ONE pin was replaced, the other pin was just tightened with old rusty hardware, NEVER replaced it yet charged me for parts and labor on TWO.not to mention the guys at the shop by my house took a look at my vehicle FREE of charge. Didn't charge me $200 just to look at it.Then the guy behind the counter just takes my payment and hands me my receipt, and walks off! No "thanks come again" "thanks for your business " NOTHING.NEVER AGAIN!

Very quick and professional experience I'm sure they have to deal with a lot of people trying to get a steal and these days it's not easy to accomodate everyone. I appreciated the reasonableness and transparency of my experience here with my car's tire rotation and balancing. I will say you have to be ready with all the I formation written down because they are very no nonsense and quick with the phone calls when I called in and showed up.

I contacted Gordon's thinking it was a towing company (Google listed it as A&A towing), but the staff at Gordon's was willing to arrange a tow truck for me and handle the repairs. After sending my car over, I looked up reviews for Gordon's and my experience doesn't match the negative reviews. My car ended up needing a fusible link box, and I asked them to go ahead and fix an existing exhaust issue. The staff was courteous and competent, my repair was effected in a timely manner and at the prices quoted to me prior to the repair. The prices for the parts match market rates, and the only potential negative would be that their labor rates were on the high side, but honestly, the service was solid. Hopefully the labor costs are indicative of better than average employee compensation.Services: Electrical repair, Auto exhaust system repair, Auto engine diagnostic

The "$20 oil change" does not include the $9 labor fee, $12 oil filter, and $6.40 environmental fee. Expect to pay over $50.

This place will definitely take advantage of your situation. Came in for a top radiator hose a $25 part, and another $22 for the replacement coolant. A total of $47 in parts needed.I was quoted at $267.67,something didn't seem right so i decided to do it myself. I got the hose and coolant and literally changed it in less then 15 minutes. Hose was not blocked by anything at all and easy to get to. I was charged $33.55 for an inspection witch included a $2 charge for environmental fee/parts although they didn't do anything but the inspection. Also left a screw driver under the hood. Times are hard as it is and we have business like this that take advantage of hard working people. Also Make sure you ask for your old parts as some things might not be replaced as you are told.

I did a walk in for my emissions test (they don't do appointments for this) and they completed it within 20 mins when I showed up at 8am! BUT! When I first showed up they asked for my "paperwork"? What paperwork? Apparently they wanted a print out of the email I got from the state with my vehicle info #s listed on it. Okay, I had that on my phone and could have pulled it up but they insisted it must be printed. So I had to drive home to print that email and come back. So I wasted my working time and gas to print something that they could have written down on a post it note. It's not like there was a barcode or QR they needed to scan... Both my husband and I have done emissions test elsewhere and never needed to bring a printed email. This is very inconvenient when their emissions test hours are limited to business hours and closed at lunch.

They are expensive but service is quick. I have been there few times for repair. This time they changed the battery, rotors and brake pads but I don't know how they broke the plastic part of the shift knob. That was a careless job.

This place will charge you $400+tax just to inspect your vehicle and said they couldn t get the part for 12 months. AND the owner disrespects younger women. Go to Reina up the road, they charged us $250 for the inspection INCLUDING the part which only took 2 weeks to get and repair. Take their local coupon and throw it in the trash. Save you money, time, and respect elsewhere.

I've gone here for years, and their service has always been just barely this side of acceptable. This, though, is the last straw.I dropped my car off over the New Year's weekend and spent over $1000 to get my battery and assorted other parts replaced (with no communication from Gordon's that it would take longer than quoted until I called them). Got it back on Wednesday, January 4th.Upon picking up the vehicle, immediately upon driving it out of the lot, three indicator lights were on on my dashboard, indicating that there was a problem with my emergency brake and vehicle stability control. Doing the bare minimum of starting the car to check the battery would have shown this, which they clearly didn't. I had no choice but to drive it, as I needed to go to work, but I noticed that the brake would not engage until it was nearly touching the floor, making it very dangerous to drive. I then left three messages over two days, to which they did not respond until the morning of Saturday, January 7th. After inspecting it again, lo and behold, they supposedly suddenly realized that my car was leaking brake fluid and that the rear brake line needed to be replaced. They said that because they had been working on the opposite end of the car entirely from those brakes that it couldn't have been something they caused, which is such a massive pile of horsesh*t I needed to repurpose my snow shovel. The brakes, of course, were not an issue before I dropped the car off. It is now January 9th, I have gone two full weekends without a vehicle, and they had the audacity today to charge me over $650 for a problem they caused. This is not the first time that things have broken down or needed replacing within a month of their repairs, either, but I have continued using their service despite my misgivings because we have been longtime customers. That ends today.Regardless of whether it was dangerous incompetence or deliberate sabotage to wring more money out of us, they let me drive off their lot in the middle of a Wisconsin winter in a car that could have gotten me killed. I'll never give them another cent, and neither should you.EDIT: The comment from the business below is not relevant to the conversation because they were the only ones who touched my vehicle for a week. The warning lights were on and the brakes were messed up IMMEDIATELY upon turning the vehicle on in their lot. Unless they are seriously trying to claim that the mere act of turning the key in the ignition caused the damage to my brakes, they should have noticed it when driving it from their garage onto their lot.Services: Auto battery replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Auto brake repair, Brakes, Auto maintenance, Battery

I just stopped in for emissions testing, but have had auto repairs done these in the past.Pricing is industry standard, work is efficient. They advise on any additional problems but don't push to repair if it can wait.

Have been going here for years with my car and my parents have as well. Went in for a oil change. Was quoted 25.00 more then what I usually pay. When I asked why the price increase the front end guy told me we have suggested repairs and it looks like you have not had those done by us. I explained to him that my brother in law does my brakes and I had my tires replaced somewhere else that has better pricing. Just because I choose not to have my car serviced for everything does not mean hiking prices up on customers. Terrible customer service. Will never go back!!

Worst experience ever, do not trust them with your car! I had $1900 worth of work (supposedly) performed on my car which included two new front tires. When I went to pick it up, they presented me with the bill including the parts and labor. After completing my payment, I went to get in my car and took a look and the two new front tires for which I just paid for and they were not installed on my car. I went back into the shop and they were not happy that I requested some compensation for the fact that they charged me for tires and services that were not performed. The manager accused me of trying to take their building down brick by brick, it was so upsetting, unprofessional and just plain crazy. They said that they had the tires sitting in the garage and that they would put them on my car. I requested a refund and that I would get my tires from someplace else. I said to please make sure to remove all labor and any fees related to the tires that they didn t install and also to refund me for the alignment. The manager was extremely angry about this and argued with me that they would not compensate me for the alignment because they had performed it on my old tires. He was fighting mad, it was terrible. I didn t want or agree to an alignment on my old tires, it was to be performed on the new ones, DUH! I couldn t even believe that he was attacking and fighting with me about this. The anger and treatment that I as a single woman received from two men one of which was the manager was extremely upsetting along with their poor services.THE OWNER S RESPONSE BELOW IS FULL OF LIES.I received a lot of hostility and anger along with an accusation from two men as witnessed by another of one of their co-workers who agreed with me that your treatment of your customer was unacceptable and understood why I was upset by it! Also, the alignment work was clearly itemized as a separate/extra charge on the bill and not worked into the price of the front end work as you are claiming. It was mind blowing that you were fighting mad about including this alignment charge on incomplete services.

Went for emissions, was put in the "line" and out in less than 30 min with at least 3 or 4 vehicles ahead of me. They were efficient and friendly, note they don't do emissions during the lunch hour (12:00-1pm) so plan accordingly!

I stopped in to have my emission tested. I had never been there. The guys in the front of the building were helpful, the place ways clean & comfortable. I waited 20 minutes or so b4 they called me to the desk, paid my bill and was on my way. It was great.

On 8/25/20 I called Gordon's #1 Service to set up an appointment, at that time I asked the gentleman that scheduled my appointment for my two vehicles if the price that I had been paying of around $40 for synthetic oil would be approved for both my cars, I was told yes and that I didn t need to bring a coupon.I have been taking my vehicle to this establishment for 5 years for oil changes and expensive repairs with no issues. I had although not had work done within the last 3 years here. I dropped off my vehicle as normal for the 8 am appointment. Upon returning to the business to pick up my vehicle, the price was not correct on the bill and asked the gentleman regarding the discount, I additionally had still brought along my coupon for $38.00 for a full synthetic oil change which I showed him. He responded that it only applies to first-time customers. I then showed him the coupon again which does not say anything about first-time customers for this particular coupon. He then tells me that they are not in the business of doing oil changes and that the discount coupon prices are for established customers. I then explained that I haven't needed any work and have been a customer for many years, he said well there are new struts on the car. The struts were placed on the vehicle during an emergency situation where I was too afraid to drive the vehicle after a loud sound in the front had occurred. I had to be towed to the nearest repair shop over a year ago, explaining that if they looked new is because I have been working from home and haven't been driving the vehicle that often, but either way it was not his place to mention this.Additionally, this visit was my attempt at giving them a second chance after a misdiagnosis of an odd situation that happened on one of the vehicles. I asked to cancel the second vehicle that I had scheduled for oil change drop off since they were not going to approve the discounted rate. I also explained that I have never been treated like this in the past. I told them that because of the situation, I would not trust that they would give an accurate diagnosis on a vehicle. I then also mentioned that on the other vehicle which I had brought to be diagnosed of what I thought was a gas leak, they diagnosed an $800 job when apparently the smell of gas was not the Chevy Malibu but rather the Chevy HHR that we later found had the leak, all he responded was ok.After I left this business I was very upset and called the store in order to obtain the individuals name since I planned on turning this business into the BBB. The lady that answered the phone explained that she could not give the males name, nor the manager or the business owners name that would be calling me. I believe that the rude male was the manager if not the son of the owner since he has been there all 5 years that I have been coming here with the same face and no customer service skills. I am still waiting to hear from the unknown manager or owner.Service: Oil change
