Would never recommend a different transmission shop! As somewhat of a car guy myself, I will tell you these guys here have extensive knowledge on cars, and aren't your typical code readers and part changers you'll find in most other shops. Helpful, friendly service, and upfront about pricing. Took my Cadillac in to have my transmission looked at, and have my torque converter replaced, they had it done within only a couple days. I would definitely give AAMCO a look!

Owner or general manager super rude and very disrespectful. Never have any available openings I guess they can only afford one mechanic basically told me just drop my car off in the street and leave it there and they would get to it whenever they felt like it could take a day or a few months for them to even look at it Super rude and unprofessional horrible customer service

My Sierra's transmission took a dump and these guys were amazing getting me back on the road the following week. They said it's usually a lot faster, but because of my warranty company it takes a little longer with the 3rd party inspection. Matt was super chill, really easy going guy who kept me up to date on all the happenings and took care of all the jibber jabber with the warranty place. Have had the truck back for a week and it's smooth as butter. Big thanks to Shannon and Matt for all the help. Definitely will come back. Highly recommend.

Either the manager or owner helped me change a tire in their parking lot, when they were closed. No charge, just a helping hand in the snow, when I was in a tight spot. Saved me an hour plus. I haven t used their service before, but I will if I ever have transmission issues, just based on that interaction. Good to see there s some good people in this world. Glad they re in my community. I contacted AAMCO when my normal repair shop was booked about my check engine light coming on and my car shaking. Both times I called Matt answered right away and was super helpful and pleasant on the phone. I stopped in a day later to get my car hooked up to see what was going on. Matt again was super helpful in diagnosing the issue and giving me details on what I need to do to resolve the issue. I haven't gotten the issue fixed yet as everyone is booked but this location will be one of my two for future repair places for this and any other issues that come up. Thanks for being so helpful!!

My son took his transmission here to get it fixed. It was found to need more than originally thought. Shannon was very honest and quick to let us know and provided options. My son decided to have them rebuild it. Shannon went way above and beyond in helping my son get his transmission back in working order and even helped get it to his shop from the Madison area. I can't say enough about the amazing customer service we received. Even now as my son ran into other issues and wasn't sure what was causing it, Shannon continues to be willing to help him figure it out, providing an honest service. Deepak with 2012 F-150 Lariat 4x4 truck. I got greatest business from AAMCO Transmission Shop. I love their transmission rebuilt and best prices that I could get from them after I got my 6R80 transmission powerloss due to first transmission fluid change by myself that been 200k miles over old. Because it supposed to be fully flush. But I really appreciated their work and transmission temp stay under 170 degrees while driving. Felt so smooth and torque so powerfully. AAMCO Transmission Shop is the best business and I definitely going there for transmission flush in 50k miles next. I appreciated y'all.Service: Transmission

Nice Place to do business they moved from their old location on Lilly road at Capital Dr. to their new location on Lisbon Rd. at Lilly Rd. Family owned, run by dad and three sons. Quality work at reasonable prices. I will be back, and highly recommend them.

Mistake. They couldn't get the parts, we had to get them ourselves. Their warranty will not include the new OEM parts we had to source ourselves because they would not make a couple phone calls. Got it back with A/C problems, major noise under the dashboard, and an empty car wash card we had just renewed for $70. Cannot recommend.Service: Transmission

I started noticing some acceleration problems with my Nissan Versa and I took it to AAMCO to be evaluated. Matt was really friendly, responsive and helpful in regards to my car. Shannon saved us thousands of dollars in unneeded transmission repair. He was honest in his troubleshooting for us to the point his shop did not get any money in helping us with the correct diagnosis. I highly recommend AAMCO, and Shannon! Any future transmission work, for all my vehicles (4) and my family will go to AAMCO!

AAMCO - Brookfield did a fantastic job rebuilding our transmission and rebuilt the front brakes at the same time. Both were done very professionally, with GREAT communication with Shannon, the owner, including over a weekend. I've had nothing but great experiences here. Great family run business with knowledgable, honest guys. They have taken great care of my jeep. They charge very fair prices, and they take the time to discuss different options and answer questions. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Had trouble with our GMC work truck engine on acceleration RPM's were there but lost MPH on acceleration low and high gears. Other mechanics said it was a transmission problem and too complex for them to fix on this model. Took it here on recommendation from an employee who just had his truck fixed and was very happy. I was expecting a call about the transmission hoping it was something simple but prepared for the worst. To my surprise the mechanic (Shannon) said it was more of an engine power problem and not the transmission. He took the time to explain what he recommended and in short order eliminated a possible exhaust converter restriction and ran a fuel pump pressure test which showed low fuel pressure from the fuel pump in the gas tank. They fixed the problem in one day and very knowledgeable about the trucks mechanical systems. Although they specialize in transmissions they were very honest and didn't try to sell me a new transmission or something I didn't need.VERY knowledgeable and they have earned our trust in their ability to diagnose a complex problem correctly and repair it at a fair price. We will be using them again in the future!

I have a 50 year old car that needed the transmission rebuilt. Shannon at AAMCO walked me through the decisions, gave the transmission a quality rebuild, and then went way above and beyond my service expectations to make sure every detail was dialed. The car shifts great. Shannon stands behind his work 100%.

Extremely helpful staff. They were able to look at my car quickly and follow up with an assessment of what the inspection had show. The staff was very clear in explaining my transmission issues and didn't try to push any unnecessary fixes.

I'm selling a car and wanted to have the transmission checked out before I sold it for peace of mind. EXCELLENT service and EXTREMELY happy with them. That is the way all businesses should operate!!! I will be doing any and all transmission business with them from now on. GREAT shop!

Shannon did a great job on our old 1998 Suburban!! Explained charges and was done when he committed it would be. Nationwide warranty is a definite plus!

Asked about a car transmission fluid change and he immediately tells me he won t touch them. Are you not a transmission shop? Clearly under qualified shop. The website says they do service on them. customer care is terrible
