Tony and his team are amazing! We have been bringing our vehicles to Auto Select for years. They are knowledgeable, trustworthy and get us back on the road in a timely manner without putting too much of a dent in our checkbook!

My experience at this auto shop was nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. My primary concern was the high-temperature warning light constantly coming on, indicating engine overheating issues with my 2011 Subaru Legacy, which had 119,000 miles on it.Initially, I contacted them to inquire if they could address a potential head gasket problem, explaining that my vehicle was experiencing overheating problems. They assured me that they could handle it, so I brought my car in. During this first visit, they strongly recommended a water pump replacement and convinced me to go for a timing kit as well, resulting in a payment of around $900. However, my frustration escalated when, less than 100 miles after leaving their shop, my car once again started overheating.I contacted the auto shop, and they agreed to take another look at it, leading to my second visit. This time, they claimed my vehicle needed a new radiator and thermostat. I asked if they could simply test the head gasket before proceeding with any additional work. Their response was that they needed to fix the radiator and thermostat first to test the head gasket properly. I also questioned why they hadn't identified the radiator issues during the initial visit, to which their response was an unsatisfying, "things break down." This was baffling to me because I had recently had a new thermostat and radiator installed by another shop just 500 miles prior, and I had not noticed any signs of leakage or unusual odors.While I was on the phone with them, they claimed they were testing the head gasket and informed me that it was indeed the source of the problem. I immediately inquired about getting it fixed, to which they started giving me a convoluted explanation of why they hadn't recommended addressing the head gasket earlier. Instead, they proposed searching for a used engine at a junkyard and installing it but couldn't guarantee its condition beforehand. To make matters worse, they stated that if the used engine failed, I would be responsible for the labor costs to install another engine. This revelation left me utterly baffled and frustrated, as it became evident that their competence was seriously in question.Seeking a resolution, I asked to speak with the owner about my concerns, especially considering the fact that I was looking at an overall cost of $1,800 and still faced the exact same issue I had before bringing my car in. Shockingly, the owner's proposed solution was to credit me the cost of the second visit (approximately $900) if I simply handed over the title of my car for trade-in. This left me utterly flabbergasted.In hindsight, I've come to realize that there are several standard methods any competent mechanic could have used to easily diagnose a blown head gasket. My experience at this auto shop was marked by incompetence, mismanagement, and a shocking lack of accountability.

Worst mechanics I took my car!I took my Prius for an inspection because it was giving a noise on the right side and when I turned all direction to the right side and I reverse the direction locks, they indicated me several parts to be replaced so that the problems were solved, I spent more than 2,200 dollars and the problems STILL CONTINUE, they claimed to have more parts with problems, so why didn t they leave me on the first visit?Mechanic garbage, they only find a reason to move where they shouldn t!

the worst auto repair shop I've ever seen, incompetent mechanics, my brother spent more than 2 thousand dollars and they didn't fix the car problem, and they didn't refund the money.INCOMPETENTS!

They always provide excellent and timely service. Most importantly they are upfront and honest about cost and provide multiple options. I never feel pressured which is greatly appreciated, especially being vehicle naive!

I've been going to Auto Select Appleton North for car issues many times before. They are upfront with their pricing, get the job done efficiently, and know their stuff. I would be happy recommending them to anyone I know.Most recently I came in for AC issues and got my car back the same day. I got a call confirming the work that would get done and a likely price. It all worked out and the AC works great now.

I very much appreciate the honesty at Auto Select. Cornelius was easy to talk to and respected my time and money. Huge improvement over dealing with the guys at Tuffy, who tried to overcharge my wife by $3,500 for the same repairs.My van runs great and the work was done quickly. Will definitely be coming back!

My vehicle needed a new part for my door handle and oul change. Called on Friday, they got me in Monday. They looked at my vehicle and found other maintenance work I needed to address to keep my vehicle running good, spark plugs, transmission flush,. Very fast and cost effective! We have been utilizing this Auto Select location for over 5 years. After a normal oil change, the low oil light came on a couple hours later. I checked the oil & it was low but I was close to home so I parked the vehicle in my garage. The next morning I called & said I have a problem. They sent a mechanic to my house within the hour and he discovered the problem (a bad o-ring on the new oil filter) and he replaced the filter & put in new oil. Before he left he asked that I stop by the shop (no appointment needed) so they could fully clean all the oil off my engine.I truly appreciate the professionalism of the team and the promptness in making this problem right. Can t say enough positives when it comes to Tony and his team at Auto Select on Northland. I have utilized his service for years with my personal work vehicles and now trust him with two teenager vehicles that each have 200k miles on them. His team keeps them in great shape and safe for my kids to drive. We repair what needs be fix and discuss what we should keep an eye on. I appreciate the honesty and trust with this auto shop and will continue to take my vehicles here until I hear that I might want to start and consider and upgrade. I asked for an inspection for a car I bought and it seemed reasonable price for the work they did, but they did charge $200 for a fuel service that I wasn t aware they were going to do. I should have asked for quote to be sent to me instead of just asking in the phone.

Was quoted $750 on the low end to replace a Honda Accord starter. And then to justify the extreme price they said they and to move the exhaust manifold (2 bolts). This job is a 40-60 min job for any experienced mechanic. The fact I bought part on Amazon for $65 and used a YouTube tutorial, along with brand new tools cost me less than $175 and I fixed in 1 hour and 15 minutes with ZERO EXPERIENCE. You guys are SCAM ARTISTS. Idk how anybody with ChatGPT, YouTube, and a little motivation can continue to go to these thieves. I was blown away with how fast I did it by myself. So tell me auto select, are you overcharging, are your employees that terrible at their job, or am I just some mechanic genius that had this undiscovered talent? DO NOT USE THIS PLACE THEY WILL PRETEND YOU'RE AN IDIOT AND UPCHARGE YOU ALL YOU CAN HANDLE. Scammmmmmmmmmm artists

I've been here over the years for a number of different things. New tires, sensors, fan motors, etc. Every time I go, I'm treated well by everyone, and the service has always been good and a fair price. They always explain what is wrong if they are diagnosing a problem, and what the recommended fix is and why they recommend that fix.Great place, great people, and the only place I trust with my car.

Worst establishment, they don't solve the problem, they get something that is not to fix, they charge the eye of the face, and they still stop fixing what was really to fix, I advise you never to step on this establishment

Auto Select on Northland Ave has been sevicing my vehicles for at least 10 years.I've always been very pleased with their service. Great serviceQuick af turnaround time. This is the 5th mechanic I've been to in one month and the 4th mechanic shop in Wisconsin. Not only did they fix it quick, but the courtesy car was available so I was able to get food etc while I waited. My repairs took almost exactly the quote time. I'd give 5 stars if they weren't charging 127/hr for labor. Seems really steep to me, but I'm from Bama. Most mechanics there charge 60-100hr for labor. I did however have my problem thoroughly explained and they did what they said they wouldGreat job guys

Had an issue on a Friday morning with my vehicle, dropped it off, mentioned i really needed it for the weekend and Tony and the techs jumped right on it AND stayed a bit after just to make sure it was done on time for me. I've been going here for a few years now and the service is always the same and top notch, quotes are accurate, and I've never felt like I was taken advantage of or pushed to do more than was necessary. Can I say WOW! I am soooo impressed with company and their service. Tony went above and beyond to get a new rear end gear box for my older Dodge Dakota. They did a whole rear end with new bearings etc. Sure the truck was there a little longer but boy did they go above and beyond for us their customer to keep the work and cost in check. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone reading this review. I give them 10 stars. Thanks guys we will be back!
