Ryan was an absolute rock star! We broke down on a long trip. We happened to be nearby. We called 3 other mechanics, and they all said they couldn't get us in since it was 3pm. After speaking with his lovely wife, Ryan said that he could get us in and get us back on the road. The parts we needed weren't available that afternoon, but he was able to craft a solution anyway. He stayed late to help us, and we ended up making it home just fine! 5 stars, 10 out of 10, I would break down again near Skidmore's Auto and Diesel Repair :)

I ABSOLUTELY love this place and the people there! They have great customer service, they know what they are doing, and always there to help people out the best way they can!! Had my vehicle there for the past couple (unrelated) issues and they were amazing! I highly recommend this garage!

Very professional and very kind. They let me know what was wrong with my car from start to finish. I m so grateful for their Business. They did everything they could do to get me and my kids back on the road so that we could make it home that day. They even offered to bring my kids and I to a hotel if they couldn t fix it. I was so grateful I even hugged the owner. Never had a experience with a mechanic as I did them! I love you guys and thank you so much!!! You are Family now .Service: General repairs & maintenance

Wow! I have an older F-350 company truck that had been neglected and had a ton of issues. It would barely pull itself out of the driveway, literally. I was about to replace it when a couple people recommended these guys. I figured I'd give them a shot. They jumped right on it and kept me updated throughout the whole process. When they were finished with it, it was like a new truck! I plan on using it for many years to come, thanks to Skidmore's. They assured me they stand behind their work. I'm very well pleased and well recommend them to anyone needing automotive work done. They'll get all my business from here on out.

I cannot recommend Skidmore's enough. I have honestly never met a mechanic or owners more kind, professional, and proficient at their jobs. I was very desperate to make sure my vehicle was safe to drive down to FL (steering was off/vehicle wandering). After a thorough inspection and a diagnostic test drive, I felt safe and confident that the vehicle was definitely sound and able to make the treck south. Thank you so much Skidmore's! You have no idea how much you assisted, and at the most reasonable price I've seen. Home safe. Stay well.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Wonderful people! Got us in while traveling through from KY to PA and needing help. Last minute end of the day on a Friday and still willing to help. Would recommend to anyone wanting quality work from good honest people.

Our car was towed to Skidmore after it broke down on our way to a family emergency out of state. The crew was honest, fast, and professional. They repaired the cause of the breakdown, but also identified a very dangerous situation with our ball joint. They called first to offer to repair, sited a fair price and the repairs actually came in under their estimate. Good people. It was a blessing to have our car towed to them.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto battery maintenance

They did their best to get my vehicle fixed. I was glad when they found out it was going to cost $800.00 to a $1,000 more than I had planned, they called me before starting into such a big project.

The mechanic's were pretty good I think the 2 in the office could stand to relax the attitude a little but other than that they were pretty good

As a woman traveling alone, my greatest fear is being forced to go to an unfamiliar mechanic on my own. This was my exact situation last weekend, and yet my experience at Mike's was honest, straightforward, and FAST! When I had car problems in the middle of a daylong car trip, I ended up at Mike's. Not only did he look at my vehicle immediately, he spent the time and correctly diagnosed the problem. Mike himself also took the time to teach me what might indicate further problems and how to manage them for the rest of my trip. If I was local, I would definitely be a loyal customer. FANTASTIC SERVICE!!!

I've had this problem with my car for a year or better and took it to many mechanics even Summersville Chrysler dealer and they didn't know the problem and all gave different things. After a year of banging my head trying to figure this out I was referred to Skidmore Auto. The feller went put the car on the computer and lo and behold he says Your Tone Ring On Your Wheel Bearing is shot. At that time he replaced it and by golly the problem is solved. He is a very nice guy explained before and after what he was doing and showed me the wore out part. This guy is super good at his job his wife is very family friendly and his little boy too. If and when I have anymore auto problems I'll go to Skidmores for sure. I highly recommend this business. ***** Thanks Mr and Mrs Skidmore

Finally! I've finally found my mechanic. Skidmore has extremely knowledgeable people. It's a family business and that warmth and care comes through. They fix it right and don't inflate problems or costs. I'll be taking my vehicle here from now on.

This shop is owned by a local man who has been repairing all types of vehicles for at least the 20 years I've known him, he has a top notch shop, employees and a reputation for honesty beyond reproach.

I went to Mike's after my tire pressure monitor kept showing that the pressure was low. Mike immediately helped us, and we were out of there in minutes.
