This week we broke down on rt 19 on our way home to Buffalo not once, but twice. Heath, Skylar, and Gene took great care of us. Charged us a fair price, and even drove us to a hotel until the next day when the part came in. Heath even checked in to make sure we got home. These guys made a very stressful situation so much easier to deal with. I highly recommend them if you have any vehicle issues.

Heath and Gene always take great care of me. They let me know exactly what's going on and have full transparency on what they're doing, why and how much. They do great work and have diagnosed issues that other mechanics have completely missed. I had some wheel noise from a broken lower control arm that I'd gone to three different places for and they did wheel rotations and alignments. Heath figured it out in about 5 seconds. They got the repair done quickly and I haven't had that issue again. For general auto repairs this is the place to go! They're also super honest about work even when it's out of their scope. They referred me to another great shop when it was. They also explained to me what was wrong so when I went to the other shop I was able to tell them the issue directly.

While driving home from college, my sons car had a piece come loose under the car. Called the garage and they were very nice and took care of his car quickly. happily recommend them to anyone needing service

Everyone was so nice! The guy who helped me out was super knowledgeable and answered all of my questions which was amazing. And because I'm from out of town, he gave me some recs for stuff to do on my drive home! Thrilled that we stopped here, it's great honest service all around. Bless!

This shop was an absolute life saver when our cars alternator died on an 11 hour drive from Buffalo to Gatlinburg. The power steering went right as we were coming through town and was able to limp the car over to their Garage which I found was a quarter mile away on Google. We pulled up, they diagnosed the issue immediately, found a part nearby, and had the alternator and belt replaced all in under and hour and a half while we walked over to Shoney's for lunch. Couldn't be more grateful or have been more lucky for them to be able to get us right back on the road with little to no delay to our trip.

First i would to say that those guys are great, our car broke down while we were on vacation and being 6 hrs away from home, they got to us extremely fast fix our car and had us back on the road within a couple of hours, we wanted to thank Gene and his guys for all the help. its nice to know that there is good guys still out there. people of Summersville West Virginia this is a great garage you are very lucky to have such honest peopleService: Brakes

Try to get an inspection sticker and they'll tell you they have done their limit even took off work early to try to get one!

My Honda Accord EX was a little too quiet for my liking. This place was recommended by my co workers, and I see why! Great local shop with super nice people! I was amazed with how quickly they put the new muffler on. The welds where perfect and they charged me a super reasonable price. By far the best shop I've ever went to. I HIGHLY recommend Gene Bishop Garage!

I had my rear brake line blow out on rt 19, luckily only about a mile from this garage. These folks got my truck right in and got to work! I had minimal braking and barely made it to their shop so I was completely at their mercy. Everyone was friendly, the price was very reasonable and they got me back up and running incredibly quickly. I made the six hour drive back home with no issues and I can't say enough good things about this place.

I'm writing this for my sister, who had a wonderful experience with this crew, but apparently, has forgotten to give them some public kudos. Last week, her 4runner broke down while we were in town climbing and she had to get it towed to Gene Bishop's based on a brief Google search. We lucked out--they were timely, diagnosed her radiator puncture very quickly, and got it replaced same day so she could be on her way back to NC. They even called to check that she made it alright. Highly recommend these professional folks.

Traveling down from Pittsburgh to Winston-Salem and we lost our air conditioning by WVU. We stopped at Gene Bishops just left off 19 about a 1/2 mile down on the right. Kim and company diagnosed and fixed our Freon problem. We were on our way in less than an hour! Wonderful people and customer service at a decent price. Very satisfied!

A+. Everyone at the shop is courteous and professional. I pulled in without an appointment and they took me right in. Heath found I had a bad hub and showed me. I also had a loud squeel/rattle noise coming from underneath the front. It was not easy to track, but Kenny took the time and helped me track it to the front drive shaft universal joint. The ball between the ujoints was shot. Gene, the owner carried on a conversation with me and helped me find a place to stay while I'm here. Very good priced and just great people. My go to mechanic shop here!

I needed new brakes on a 2012 Suzuki SX4, and I was 300 miles from home, Bishop's garage took my car right in and put it on the lift. Had new brakes and rotors on it in 30 minutes and charged me parts and 30.00 for labor. Even checked all my tires air pressures. I can say nothing but good about their service to a stranger. If they were closer. I would use them regularly.

I brought in a 2002 silverado for an exhaust job. They found a "fuel leak" and wouldn't perform the job. Attempting to get money from me to fix the "leak". I took the same truck to C Adam Tony's the next day and it was done very professionally within and hour. Very satisfied with the results

While towing our antique boat South for a show, a trailer tire malfunctioned. We were just approaching Summersville. Thankful for electronics, I searched for automotive garages in Summersville.The first place I clicled on was Gene Bishop Garage. We called, the man said he'd help anyway he could.It is conviently located only half mile off of Rt. 19 on Rt. 41.They stopped what they were doing to help us. They even had a new tire so we were still able to have our spare available! We were in and out in less than 10 minutes!!!God bless these people & this business, & THANK-YOU :))

Needed a muffler installed on my S80 Volvo. Dropped it off at 11:30 expecting it would be ready by 2:00. He called at exactly 12:18 and said it was ready. Not only was it lightning fast, ... the bill was very reasonable. He even painted the welds to prevent rusting. Thanks much.Just recently needed a brake job and oil change for my Chevy Silverado pickup. As usual the work was top notch. Thanks again to Gene and his crew for the great service and value.

The A/C went out on my Honda while enroute to the New River Gorge Bridge. Hoping to avoid having to go to the dealer in Beckley I found this place by a quick search. They were more than happy to attempt fixing my A/C. Unfortunately, my vehicle needed a dealership since they'd have the part I needed. They pointed me towards Beckley to help get the problem solved. I wish I wasn't fron a different state because I'd stop here more often! If you're traveling and have a mechanical issues I'd recommend stopping here first.

I don't normally write reviews but everything that i had read about this shop was true .... everyone in the shop helped us out with our truck ... fast ... amazing service and extremely great pricing and awesome hospitality ... THANK YOU for everything
