Took a part back that was defective and had a receipt in hand for the part and the manager stood their and argued he couldnt do a refund do to it was used. The part has a 1 year warranty and clearly said if defective bring back with receipt and will exchange or refund. Management argued it was used and wouldnd Horner the warranty. Called gassaway store and he is fixing the problem wouldnt buy or take anything back to Summersville autozone

Bought a light bulb for my Toyota 4Runner this sweet nice lady installed it in the rain I tried to give her a tip and she would not take it so I highly recommend her I really appreciate that she put it in for me thanks

Was on a trip and our air conditioning was not working. Passed by hoping that they had a service bay to fix the A/C. They don't have a service bay to fix vehicles but Steve went above and beyond to help with our A/C issues. Having not done it before, he guided me on how to refill the freon and also noticed that our coolant was running low. Within a few minutes, we were back on the road with a fully functional air conditioning thanks to Steve and his helpful attitude! Thanks Steve!!

I awoke to freezing weather and a dead battery. The battery was my fault ... left a portable fridge plugged in over night. 2 lovely people stopped to help and recommended the auto zone ck the battery out before I continued my travels. The staff was very helpful and courteous and got me on my way quickly.

A couple employees at this location are always friendly and always try to be helpful and don't make you feel like a burden. Unfortunately, this location also has a couple "warm body" employees who need some serious employer counseling, or an incentive to perform better.

Nice employees, clean, and well organized store. My only complaint is that their prices are high on stuff like oil, filters, etc. Don't get me wrong, their prices are competitive with the other "auto parts" stores... But they are more expensive vs. places like Walmart, for common items. I like the rewards program they have, which really helps, if you do a lot of automotive repairs. They're very good about honoring their warranties on the products they sell. They also have "loaner" specialty tools (like a torque wrench), and fully refund your deposit upon return. I also like that they'll do free "testing", such as batteries and alternators, plus diagnosis of "check engine light" codes. Overall, I go here for anything I need for my car, that can't be purchased at regular dept. stores. 5 Stars in my experience!

They really helped me out in a jam. My battery died and they gave me a ride back to my car, jump started my car and then replaced my battery for me. Would recommend to anyone needing car help or parts.

I needed a jumpbox... a guy helped me pick one out... got a Duralast 1000 watt. That worked just fine starting my Volvo that was deader than heck. Thanks for the help. Also happened to catch it on sale.

Recently my wife and I and two cats were traveling to Florida for a winter vacation. We made it to Birch River WVA and had a surprise when our 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport went into "limp mode" while climbing one of the many Mountains on Route 19. The Limp mode is when your car's motor will only allow you to drive at a very slow speed due to a motor sensor telling it something is wrong. We called two Hyundai dealerships and got bad news from both. One was not open till Monday (and it was Saturday) the other was closing at 12:00 noon. In either case we would be stuck in WVa till Monday. Thank God the dealership (open till noon) put a mechanic on the line and told us that the "knock sensor system" was the issue and it was common - many have occurred. He told me to disconnect the wire to the sensor (gave great instructions) and then "limp" to the nearest auto parts store to reset the check engine light.Once the check engine light was reset we could be on our way to Florida - the engine would be back to full power. We limped our way to Summerville and found an Auto Zone. At first the employees were reluctant to reset the check engine light, but with reassurance that the dealer said it was ok they performed the reset. Bingo!! full power!!Without the Beckley mechanic and the AutoZone employee we would have been stuck struggling to find a place to stay with 2 cats.MANY MANY ThanksDon Fogal
