Excellent service!!! Very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and honest. My car was limping along with issues that had several mechanics stumped. So, after hearing several recommendations for European Car Services, I brought it here; and, because of their expertise, it turned out to be a simple, quick repair, at a very affordable price. And, unlike other places I've been in the past, they repaired only what needed to be repaired and didn't attempt to add "extra" unnecessary repairs to my bill. Highly recommend!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

The owner, Steve is a great guy. They had the best price for a starter for my bmw 330xi. Had to wait a few days before they could take my car but it was worth the wait. Will use them again!

10/5 stars! Steve and his team went above and beyond to save me in a tough spot, and can't thank them enough for the incredible service while passing through on a relocation roadtrip across the country. I was driving through Charleston, WV when my BMW 135i AC compressor and serpentine belt blew, which in turn killed my power steering at highway speeds. I quickly found and called European Car Service as my battery lost charge, and barely made it there to his shop shortly thereafter without needing a tow. His team was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and helpful - immediately assisting with overnighting a new AC compressor to get me back on the road to Utah to start my new job the following week (I had about 5 days left to drive from WV to Utah when the install was complete). Between honest advice, fair pricing, and their incredible hospitality (dropping me at my Airbnb on their way home after I dropped my car off), their shop is the best in town (and likely the entire state). If you need a BMW repair in Charleston, WV, this is absolutely the place to go. You may even meet a prior America's Got Talent winner while waiting for your car :)Thank you again for everything!

Most honest, reliable, efficient, and experienced professionals in this area. Rates are the most affordable for the quality of work they do. I will only be going to this business from now on for my auto work after several others in Charleston were giving me incorrect information & charging me for inspection that was unnecessary. Their personable service really outshines everyone in this area of the country.

Steve and the folks at European car service are the only people my family trusts with our vehicles. They are honest, transparent and always do right by their customers. Too bad I cannot leave a 6 star review or I would, cannot recommend them enough!

Called on a Friday and as soon as they can get me in was the following week. Getting a crankshaft position sensor changed and bringing the part.As soon as my engine cold I immediately took my car in. Price was about half of what I expected and they did a very professional job!As I was leaving I had a technical question. Even though the owner was busy he took the time to answer me. It's thoughtful advice was something that I followed as a do-it-yourself repair. It fixed the problem I was having with my car stalling... Great service and reasonable prices.I have a 1999 Saab 9-3 turbo. Most mechanics will not even touch my car. Not only did they fix it, they did a great job!Service: Engine repair

We were passing through Charleston and our car broke down. We looked them up on google for European car repairs and went in to see if they could help us. Let me just say that I can only hope that where we are moving will have a shop that is as honest and caring as them. If you want good service and honesty, this is where you need to go. I wish I could thank them enough for helping us when we needed it most. Wishing them the best!

I have been a customer there longer than anyone. Steve, the owner, was in high school when I came in for my first repair. They have worked on at least 20 different cars for me, and most of the work was done after Steve took over. The goal there is now and has always been not to see how much money they can make--the goal is to try to make repairs economically consistent with the best interest of the customer. All businesses should be this way, but many are not. That is why this business has flourished in a declining market. So if you demand immediate repairs, go to the dealer and pay for that. But if you want your problem intelligently fixed with your best interest at heart, go here.

Had my water pump go out on my LR3 at 6:00am, and I was about 30 minutes from south Charleston. I tried calling several places to see if they could fix it the same day, but had to leave a voice message at every one of them because on average all the shops don't open till 8:00am. I got a call back from the owner right at 8. Told me he either had, or could get the part immediately and to bring it in. Once I got there everyone I dealt with including the owner was really awesome and understanding. The job took 3 hours and was much cheaper than I thought could be expected. He also replaced some worn-out belts without even having to ask. We were back on the road by lunch :). By far the best service I have ever had.

Have used this shop for everything from older VW's and Mercedes' to later models of the same...They have provided me with nothing but the best service at a reasonable price. If the fix was something simple that I could do myself, they would tell me so. Honest dealings with them on every occasion keeps them very busy. Believe me when I say that their service is worth the wait if need be!

While traveling through Charleston WV my '91 Saab 900 Turbo suffered a cracked oil line resulting in a Sunday overnight stay since no repair shops were open. Monday morning involved calling multiple shops looking for Saab service. I respect those that did not wish to help with such a vintage vehicle but the sole shop that was immediately willing to help was European Car Service on Mac Corkle Ave S W. Owner Steve responded to my voice-mail within 30 min telling me to come in and happy to help. I arrived and rolled into one of the bays to point out the problem. I told Jeff the lead tech what needed repair. Parts being delivered by a relative only needed swapping out. Jeff tackled the oil line removal before the parts arrived saving time so everything was ready for the install. The shop was very busy with work on all types of European imports in three long bays but they all accommodated my car knowing the urgency of my travels. There was even another Saab customer with a roadside breakdown that was being worked on between scheduled drop offs. Their work was superb and expeditious being completed by the time I returned from lunch. The atmosphere was friendly and chatty allowing me time on the floor observing initial work by Jeff who had experience with Saab. I noticed their specialty was Mercedes but saw Porche, Jag, Audi, and a Volvo in the bays. It appeared to be a favorite shop of local clients given their labor rates and testimonials by customers in the queue. I took photos during and after repairs to show others the high value of this place. I would highly recommend this classic repair facility to other locals and those just passing through. Blessed the good Samaritans for their dedication and hospitality.

I've used Steve for over ten years. He is reliable and honest, the two most important things to any car owner. Jeff, his lead mechanic, knows his business inside and out. The reason I give them five stars is because I can't give them six.
