Wish I could give it 0 stars. Had an appointment at 10am for an inspection. was there early and checked in at 9:50am. Sat there until 10:45 and when I asked how much longer they said I d have to wait until another vehicle that was being worked on that started at 10:05am. What s the point in having an appointment then? I can t wait around because of their incompetence. Poor service all together. Do not recommend.

NEVER AGAIN! I took my car to get new tires. It's never had the tires from factory off, so there shouldn't have been an issue. First red flag was they took my car from their place to another without my prior knowledge or consent to another location. Then they called to ask where the tire key was. I had never heard of this before but told them to check where the spare is. They tell me I may need to pay for a new set of lug nuts if they can't find the key. I get the car back and they tell me they put regular lug nuts on it. On my way from their location it dawned on me thar I didn't know where the key was in case I need it at another time, so I call them. I am THEN told that they tossed them because they had to HAMMER off the lug nuts because they were rounded. Those locking lug nuts cost $50 a set and they just tossed them without so much as an offer of compensation? This is a 2022 vehicle that has never had a tire off so if the lug nuts were rounded, it was something they did. I will never go back and will let everyone I know not to go there either.The lady working the reception was really nice tho.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Friendly and compassionate people. The stress I had about my brakes instantly left. Able to diagnose and fix the problem in five minutes. I will return with any vehicle concerns I have in the future.

Best garage in Parkersburg WV I couldn't be happier with my experiences with them. You get honest quality work at a fair price. Jim is very knowledgeable and all his staff are friendly and helpful. I would say this shop is affordable and reasonably priced, although some issues did arise that they took care of, later. I left with my steering wheel not centered and the allignment from another shop they use, was not right. This could be the exception, not the rule, but I decided to take it somewhere else and have the toe set correctly. I returned with a receipt and was promptly given a refund for my cost.If there is a problem they will make it right if you bring it to their attention.

I had a full exhaust - Headers back true dual with cats installed at this shop to save me time in getting this truck finished (because who likes loosening head bolts? Not me).Heard leakage driving home and the flange studs from the exhaust manifold weren t tightened at all on the passenger side. To add to it, the tack welds keeping the mufflers from cracking together came apart soon after and dented everything up and broke the hanger in the back. Thankfully I have a welder and the skills to repair the repairs, but if it was someone else they d probably be writing more checks The semi-positives are they got the head bolts out (but reused old hardware at that, so they ll break I m sure) and were quick about it. Not sure what s going on over there but someone needs to start checking the work.Went back for photos and it looks like they welded straight through the sides of the mufflers too. Curiouser and curiouser

Jim will do his best to make sure you're a satisfied customer. have sent several makes and models including my 2017 Mustang and the workmanship has been spectacular. 10/10 would recommend.

I used to love this place but something changed. I paid $3,000 to have my vehicle fixed which took over a month just to order parts! Another guy ended up fixing it and having to order the parts. It s still not running well and they refused to look at what I needed looked at and now it needs fixed!! So disappointed since it used to be my favorite place to go

I had a great experience with auto aid. I went in having a general idea with what our truck needed repairs on. I have an 08 Chevy truck, it turned out it needed way more repairs than I thought. The mechanic Jim Craddock was great about explaining everything that they were doing and why it would be best to nip those repairs in the bud before they got bigger. I may have left with a bit more charges than I expected (because the repairs were more extensive) but my truck is running better than ever and I feel confident about everything that was done. They were really fast, professional, had the best pricing (for my repairs), and friendly. This shop quoted my mom a repair of $900. They had her phone number and she checked in a couple of times while it was in their shop. She spoke to someone the day it was supposed to be done, and they never mentioned any additional repairs. She went to pick it up and they charged her $1800, said more problems were found. They should have checked with her, as this pretty much wiped out her entire savings. The folks also told her there was a 4% total charge for using a debit card, which came to almost $70.Service: Auto maintenance

Replaced transmission cooler. Took way longer than expected. Did not refill my ac nor did they put half the bolts back. But called to tell them they stuck a defective part on cause it's acting up they got rude said I was badgering their business and hung up on me. I will definitely not go back and I wouldn't recommend anyone going to them. Very unprofessional and had to go get my car refixed elsewhere and it was only half the cost they charged me on top of that....... update yes I'm 100 percent sure cause it's probably under my sister's name cause I had her drop it offService: Transmission

I would recommend auto aid to anyone who is looking for a honest mechanic who can get you worked in quickly if needed.. They are super friendly.. They care about the quality of the work not quantity. They explain everything that needs done in detail and they don t charge just to diagnose your car s problem which is unheard of nowadays. They can even help you get your car towed to their shop if needed at a cheap price.. I would definitely recommend them to everyone. My friend and I were traveling through West Virginia when our car broke dowm 500 miles from home. The mechanic Jim allowed us to park our vehicle in his lot for the weekend while we figured out the best way to get back home. He even offered his professional advise in a very honest manner and got the car running so we can drive it to another storage location. Would not accept a penny for his work and hospitality so a 5 star review is the absolute least I can do.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

My truck was in a bad way thanks to a Mr Fix-It husband. I knew it needed to be fixed by a professional, but I couldn't decide on who I could really trust...especially with me being a woman. I'd heard good things about Auto Aid and one recommend happened to be by another woman. That was the clincher.Now, my truck was so bad that after it was fixed, I still drove with great caution. I had to remind myself that I was no longer getting warning messages and alarms going off on my dash, and when I used my brakes, I no longer heard that horrible crunching. It has been smooth sailing for two weeks now.Another thing that means a lot to me is how genuinely friendly the staff is. They are so down to earth and truly care that you leave there a satisfied customer. Thank you Jim and Becky for giving me my peace of mind back.

I would not give this shop even one star if I didnt have to. We took our van in to get fixed, a job that we were told only was a few hours ended up being our van staying there the whole summer. Then when we kept asking whats the issue they had taken our van to another shop without notifying us first. The mechanic guilt tripped us about having an ill family member because we started to become impatient about the amount of time he was taking to fix the car, mind you he was still doing business with other customers.Finally we couldnt take it anymore he said we can come pick it up. When we went to pick up our van I noticed a dent that was not there, I open my driver seat door and my whole seat was burnt like there was a small fire in it or really hot things from under the hood was sat there. When we asked about it we was told they dont no what happened...Ok we get home lift the hood and they completely took everything from under our hood and replaced it with cheaper looks like rusty parts. I guess I should have started with saying this was a new van it had all the dealership manifold covers it had been taken off, when we asked he said he didnt no what happened to it, or he didnt remember. We gave them 1000 up front in cash before he started because they said thats what we had to do, when we picked up the car another 1500.The owner said he would fix the dent and find the manifold cover, and we were just out of luck about the driver seat being burnt. We never heard from him again. Since we have had our van its never run properly again, we have leaks from every tube under the hood it sounds like a truck now. And they could care less. We let them know how much we rely on our van we are a family of seven. We have five children that are involved in activities that require alot of driving, and that still did not deter them from ripping us off. They are not good people, and I would never recommend or trust that anyone should go there. They took advantage of two people in a tough spot with little knowledge of cars.

Jim is the most professional, proficient, and knowledgeable mechanic I ve ever met in my life. I will not go to any other mechanic to look at any of my or my family s vehicles, nor will I buy a vehicle without first asking him. I ve started going to him since he first opened his shop in Parkersburg a couple years ago and can t speak highly enough about his technical knowledge about anything related to cars. I also can t speak highly enough about his family and his wife, Becky, who helps him manager their business. Becky always returns my calls and provides constant updates.If you re somebody that takes care of your car and wants it to last, look no further than Jim and his business. I ve been going to him since he s opened and every single one of my family s vehicles can smoothly run well beyond 100,000-250,000 miles on them which should be leaps and bounds beyond anyone s expectations that live in our area if you ve had any experience with other mechanics in our area.And yes, the air-conditioning works in all of our vehicles Services: Transmission, Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Painting, Auto glass repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Body & Trim, Engine repair, Auto detailing, Wheel alignment, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Auto interior vacuuming, Car waxing, Battery, Oil change

Very great service, I was stuck down here without these guys, supposed to go back home to NY but my truck needed attention and they give me the help I needed same day and very fairly priced. I 100% recommend these guys

I took my 1984 Nissan/Datsun 300zx into this shop with multiple issues. They restored my transmission and replaced several other parts at a very reasonable price. Despite of the amount of business they had they made sure my car was available by the time I left work. Everyone here is very friendly, nice, trustworthy, down to earth people and really there's no better way to say it than the owners/staff are good people.

Nice people, fair prices, quick and quality work!I have a hard time trusting new mechanics but this hometown-feeling shop didn't let me down and was willing to work with my schedule.

Honest businessman, fair prices. Took my Honda in to be inspected and found out it was leaking power steering fluid. Was quoted $1100 to fix. Jim, the owner, did some more research with Honda and found out only the seals needed replaced making it a $400 repair. He went out of his way to make this a better situation for me when he didn t have to and I don t have the knowledge to know. He cares about his customers and doing things right! Great business, he has another loyal customer!

Great experience dealing with this shop. Was able to get an upfront price for labor (labor hours were cheap), car was worked on as soon as i brought it in. Mechanic was friendly and described what all he did to the vehicle. He also let me know other issues i may have in the near future without trying to pressure me in any way to get them fixed immediatly. This will be the only shop ill go to from now on and i hope nothing but success for them.
