I live in a private Domain with RESERVED parking spaces I came home from a long negative day of work, only to find someone in my paid for parking space. I was initially understanding and knocked on several doors to find who this vehicle belonged to. As well as seeing if they could have possibly, not seen the number 8, reserved sign because of snow. Finally I reached out to my domain and they referred me to these guys. Within 30 minutes, that vehicle was towed, I was able to get in MY parking space and enjoy my night. Thank you guys!

My car got towed on a Sunday evening, the rude receptionist told me that it would be an hour wait and it ended up being two hours. The weirdest part about the whole ordeal is that they only take cash, what other towing company only takes cash?

The first time I went they did a great job and charged me a decent price so I thought. After they put my car back together it still was wobbling so I take it back and asked him to find out what's wrong with it and I will pay them to fix it they had me pay $800 for parts that I didn't need cuz after I paid them my car was still wobbling. After I took it somewhere else for them to tell me what's wrong with it I took my car back to them for them to fix the actual they didn't put in right they still charging me for parts and labor and then my car was fixed.

My son's car was parked at a Dollar General. He was told to park there to meet & ride w/ his journeyman in the company van. He pulled in at 7:15 am & at 7:30 am the landlord of the Dollar General called to have my sons car towed. Mountaineer Towing picked it up at 8:30 am. They charged my son almost $200 for a 2 minute tow!!! How is this business still open with such horrible reviews? They are price gouging people! Also, there were absolutely no signs posted stating that where my son parked was a tow zone. The General manager of the Dollar General said they didn't have an issue with him parking there so why should it bother the landlord? Why are people so hateful & greedy these days?!?!

SCAMMERS!!! Use literally anyone else. They think they can and they actually WILL overcharge and keep your vehicle for as long and as much money as possible. They do business with fellow scammers and will deter you from help at every avenue. A five minute tow should not ever cost someone over $160!!

Would leave 0 stars if I could. Overcharged me to have a ball joint arm part replaced. I already had the part bought so all they did was replace it. Charged me $170 at 1.8 hours when the work took an hour and a few minutes, and should have been around $90-100. Called and explained to whoever answered the phone, and she said she would have to check with the mechanic and would call me back. Never called me back.

Got into a car accident a few weeks ago and I ve tried multiple times to contact them and the receptionist hangs up on me everytime I call. I just want the stuff out of my totaled car.UPDATE THREE WEEKS LATER:Still haven t heard back from them, I ve called back with no answer, assuming they re trying to keep the car longer to increase the amount of money they will try to charge me or that they stole the 2 loads of laundry I had in my car when I wrecked.Update 4/26/2023My license plate from said vehicle which I never heard back about, just ran a red light in a bus lane in NYC and I got billed for it. Do not do business with these scam artists and thieves. They will take your plates just to put them on another vehicle.

If there was a 0 star that s that they would get. We were in an accident last Friday. We explained to them that we were from out of state and they acted all nice while we were there and said they would transfer our car when the next truck returned. Well we drove by the collision center that night and our car was no where to be found. We called the next morning and of course they are closed for the weekend. So we called on Monday, oh they are closed until after New Years so they can not even talk to us. There answering service did call the owner and he said he wouldn t talk to us until Wednesday. So Wednesday, they decided to wait until 3pm to send our car. This way they could charge for a holding fee for 6 days. When it was never supposed to be held at all. All they want is to screw people over. And it s like the family that owns it are all hillbilly s. Unfortunately, we didn t know who to use because we weren t from the area. But hopefully this will help anyone looking. It was a terrible experience.

Was parked in a spot to unload at midnight for 10 min and I was towed. No time to move or warning. Came from out of town to visit family and this is what I immediately am welcomed with. No towing signs anywhere either to show not to park in that area. This towing company barely got to their towing yard and had to charge $167 and couldn t work with me knowing my circumstances. Messed up company that preys on college students and their families. Definitely needs a different system to give people a warning

Mountaineer towing will charge you $90 fee and insist on towing you to a gas statio instead of bringing a gallon of gas and charging a service fee or better yet, not responding at all and letting a company that carries gas cans respond. The owner and employee were rude and made insulting comments about me running out of gas frequently despite never meeting me before. This was when I objected to them both stating 1 gallon of gas will not start an out of gas car. ???Why not? And when i say that I've experienced it, then the insults. I just hope karma meets them head on.

Easily the worst towing company in all of America. Awful customer service, could be comparable to Hitler. They hung up on the phone, they were rude on the phone to my friend as well. Told us to be here at noon, then as we proceeded to call them 3 times to tell them we were here, they said to wait because they d be here shortly even though they didn t show and left us waiting for the entirety of a Marvel movie. There were other people waiting outside of the locked gated entry as well who were here probably an hour before we were. So terrible I hope that Norse Viking Gods haunt them.

I do not recommend this business and have filed a police report in relation to an incident on 4/1/2022. An unknown driver, who identified him self as F*** you threatened to pull me out of my car and beat my A** after I questioned him on the legality of a tow he was performing. The driver could have handled the situation in nearly any other way, but chose to make threats of violence instead.

I have witnessed two accidents they towed away. They leave a mess. They don t pick up enough. They leave it trashy. Car rubbish and bits of broken pieces left aside the road. Thanks for actively making Morgantown trashy!

I am genuinely surprised by all these negative reviews. I live on a terribly maintained back road and had to have my car towed from my steep driveway where it was stuck. With just two days notice a really nice guy named David came out first thing on a Saturday in the frigid cold, jumped my car repeatedly as the battery was dead [and I'm a bonehead and shut the car off] backed the car out of my terrifying driveway, was super patient and friendly, AND this was all on, again, a FRIGID Saturday first thing in the morning to get me to the tire shop [which was not our original destination but given the dead battery I needed the extra tow.] Seriously, these guys all went above and beyond to help me out and even find me - my road is impossible. I wouldn't be able to make it to work on Monday if it hadn't been for them.

Overall sketchy looking business. My car was towed in my parking spot that I PAY A MONTLY FEE FOR. They should read license plates before towing and unrightfully charging someone OVER $150 to get there car back. Very irritated that there was no way to get around this even though I was LEGALLY parked.

Absolute worst experience ever. Towed my car out of my apartment complex, I pay for a pass to park there, charged me over $200 to get it back. The lady on the phone told me a price and when I got there I found out she lied and it was actually way more. Just overall a horrible company filled with employees who make a living off of ripping everyone off.

You re probably going to have to wait 4+ hours on them for a tow so just call somebody else. I live at an apartment complex that has a contract with this company. I got home late and a vehicle was in my spot with no parking pass and I immediately called to have it towed so I could park. After three hours and two calls speaking with a rude dispatcher still no tow.

I don't know how these people sleep at night. They're in bed with Hotel M to effect legal highway robbery on unsuspecting folks. They cleaned out (towed) a whole parking lot of cars and then held them for ransom. Come up with $219 CASH to get your car back. Very few people walk around with that much cash. And with no car, there's no way to get cash. The dispatcher seemed to enjoy the situation. ("You've got legs don't you?) Some students simply don't have that much money. So folks were stuck out in the night with no support structure, no car and no way to get anything. These people are evil. The whole thing is a legal scam!!

We were stranded and needed a tow to the nearest dealer, they told us 45 minutes. Then 45 minutes later we called and they said 20-25 minutes. We called back 20 minutes later and the driver said 30 more minutes. After 30 minutes we called back and they wouldnt tell us where the driver was. They kept insisting that he was in traffic and when we called back again the woman at the office straight up hung up on us. 2 hours after the call there was no driver and we ended up needing to cancel and just look for another services because we were hopeless and did not think they would come at all. This place left us STRANDED, we were in a random parking lot and it was hot out and there was no shade, they are terrible, mean, rude, and dont deserve to continue as a business. We will be filing a BBB claim against them and they have been taking off the providers list from the several companies we had to go through.

Complete BS!! Have you noticed all there brand new shiny trucks and new pavement at their business location??? That's called a 'cash business' where there are NO taxes being paid. AND they damaged the undercarriage of our car. Morgantown police should be doing something about this joke of a business. The whole towing industry is shady but this place is straight up the biggest scam I've ever seen.

They will be towing people who properly parked their vehicle and had a proper parking pass too. They will do it without letting the apartment complex know. Watch out for them. It s terrible in pouring rain and or heavy snow as they can t properly check passes that way.

This place is terrible property owner never called for towed they towed out of wrong space and had no evidence of of my parking, ie. picture, had to pay them just to get it back, an going to police over this. This place can t be legal.

Our son broke down on I68, they went out immediately and towed our son back to his apartment. Great service the gentleman went above and beyond to help.

Great people to deal with, answered the phone promptly and was able to deal with the release of my vehicle. Very nice to work with and they were able to tow my vehicle to the body shop quickly.

470.00 to tow 3 miles and charged for gas .SAid that was going rate I called summers they said it should cost about 85.00.they took my grandson because he was young no one should use them not honest

Had appointment to mount 2 tires . Arrived at 12:03 they told me lunch just arrived and it would be 1 hour. Don t waste your time
