I drove across state lines to get my Jeep at River City Ford. Homer was really excellent. Easy to communicate with, made himself available for me, and was helpful through the buying process. I can't say enough good things about him.I rated 4 stars because the paperwork side of things was a little bit of a run-around. I was misinformed on the title information, and process of documentation...I felt a little rushed through the important parts of the paperwork...too much talking about personal versus purchase. The conversation was friendly, but felt a little distracted from the point at hand. There was a delay in receiving paperwork due to business staff being out of office, but everything was completed appropriately in the end.As always, I would recommend a third party inspection for any car you buy, especially across state lines. River City Ford was very accommodating, allowing me to do what I needed to make this purchase feel like I had made the right choice. They were reasonable with pricing, gave me all the information I needed, and were friendly and professional. I am a Jeeper, at last.

I don t think you can find a better team than Homer and Jeremy. They absolutely know their stuff and are giving the most helpful, satisfying service available. This is my third or fourth time over the years; these guys provide the best value every time, every day.

Bought an SUV today, Homer made it happen! He was awesome, so polite and professional. He worked hard and fast to get us in our new vehicle. Thanks Homer!

Great staff. Pete McClung is an awesome sales rep. Answered all my questions, gave a fair trade in value and had the truck filled up and washed for me to pick up the next day. Only thing that would have made it better was to toss in a bottle of water. Wait they did that too. Seriously though super great folks for a "Small town" dealership. If you're in the market for a Ford, check them out. Jeremy is a finance whiz. He'll help you out how ever you need. Be sure to talk a little baseball with him. Over all I want to give them a 10 stars but 5 is the top. I'll be getting all my cars there from now on. So glad I found this gem of a dealership.

My experience here was horrible worse than any other dealership I ve visited! Despite having spoken to staff members beforehand, my encounter with Louie fell far below expectations: unfriendliness exuded by someone seemingly hungover matched only unhelpfulness that cut me off mid question regrading vehicles not listed online (claiming ignorance). Don t waste your time looking around find somewhere else!

In the process of filing complaints with B.B.B and the Attorney Generals office. They are thieves and liars. I know what was and wasn't disclosed on phone and in person, but I guess if you want the sale you'll lie to cover your rear. Blocking someone on FB for a bad review doesn't make the Truth hurt any less. Crooked, crooked people.UPDATE:Attributed to this review they did choose to resolve the issue.

They do things for people they know and turn away people they don't. Was referred there by someone they do work for. Wouldn't recommend wasting your time going down there. If the garage is ran like that, I'd be cautious on the sales side of things.

They thought they had a sucker and tried to pull the wool over my eyes. But I knew better.Let's start from the beginning.I did the pre-approved option online yesterday. So they called and we made an appointment for today to look at the vehicle and to discuss the payment options, etc.So I get there and am taken into the office. And Louie just started handing me documents to sign. I signed a couple of them. I didn't look at what I was signing. I was just assuming it was giving them permission to run my credit application, etc.I had already told them that I was not paying anything down, nor was I trading. And I told him what I was willing to do as far as payments. He responded "well it won't be that cheap, but we'll get as close as we can." I said "okay."Louie takes the forms back to someone and comes back. He said "they are running your stuff. It will be a few minutes." So I sat there for several minutes. Then I get a call from TD Bank. I was not told that I'd be getting a call from a bank. Nor did I know they were trying to finance the vehicle through a bank. I thought they were financing threw Ford Motor Credit. That is what I agreed to. But whatever. Anyway, the bank was just verifying that I was applying for vehicle financing and that I was at the dealership. No biggie. We waited some more and then Louie came back and asked for my proof of insurance. I went out and got it for him. He takes it to his finance officer. Then he comes and gets me and takes me back to his finance officer. The finance officer just started printing off documents for me to sign. I knew then it was getting serious. And so I said "before we go any farther, what are we talking about payment wise?" And he looked and said "with no extras at all, just the vehicle, licensing, and taxes . Your payments will be $788.00 (or something close to that.)"$788.00 per month for a $30K vehicle? I don't think so! LOL. I could have understood $350 to $400 , but $788.00??? Not happening. I told them "I can't do that."Then they tried the old "well let us put you in something else." I said "I don't want anything else. But thank you for your time." And I walked out.But if I had not asked how much payments were gonna be and just signed the paperwork, I would have been stuck with a $788.00 payment! The truth is, I should not of had to ask. They should have been up front with me and just told me in the beginning instead of wasting our time. They had all my information from last night. So they should of been prepared when I got there and said "okay here is what we can do, and here is what your payments will be." Not try to trick me into something.Shysters. How many people have they tricked into doing that and then have to repossess their vehicle?I just went to leave them a review on their Facebook page, and in the hour it took me to get home, they had blocked me. So they block anyone who doesn't buy from them. LOL. That says a lot.I would advise anyone to be very cautious when dealing with River City Ford!

Just outstanding customer service from Matt (online), to Louie who answered all my questions professionally, to Jeremy who guided me through the financial aspects. I also want to thank all of them for the most important thing in life, a sense of humor. Hopefully, I didn't offend them with my twisted (not sick because there would be a cure) humor. Highly recommend River City Ford.

Last time I checked if a product has a manufacturers warranty for 3 years and is replaced within 3 years the new product has a completely different warranty unless otherwise stated on the product or in the paperwork. River City Ford obviously disagrees with that, although the sticker on the battery clearly states it has a 36 month FREE replacement and a 37-100 month customer pays pro-rated charge. The battery in question was put in the vehicle on 12/06/2016 and the paperwork doesn't show anything about 36,000 mile limit on replacement if it becomes defective within the 3 years. They claim that due to the battery being replaced under the 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, that comes with every car, it doesn t have a warranty. Keep in mind if my hot water tank goes out within the 5 year warranty and they replace it, the new replacement carries a separate 5 year warranty. Or if I purchased a car part that has a warranty and it becomes defective within that timeframe the new replacement part has its own separate warranty. I can tell you from the experience I had in 2016 with the brakes having issues from the moment she purchased the car and the battery issue then, which she had to pay $95 to have those issues fixed bc they argued with me for 3 months over the brakes so it ruined the rotors as well, I would not recommend purchasing anything from this dealership. Boyd County Ford as well as South Point Ford have both stated if the work had been done there they would have no issue just replacing the battery since it is clearly within the 3 year FREE REPLACEMENT period. However, River City Ford is trying to make me pay $80 for them to replace something that is under warranty according to the product itself. So We obviously will not be purchasing any future vehicles from River City Ford. You should always inform your customer of things that affect them, but when you fail to do so you should always make it right. That hateful service manager should never get loud with a customer. In the position of management you should always remain calm and professional, but claiming I caused a scene is a complete lie. Had I caused a scene you would know it. The gentlemen that was standing outside of the garage door to the service center made a comment regarding her attitude as I was standing there waiting for the vehicle to be brought out of the garage. I m not the only one who had an issue with her attitude, and had someone on the phone with me that heard how rude she was. She s rude and disrespectful, but if you ask to speak with her boss she will say she s the highest one there. I asked for her general manager and she responded by saying I m the highest person you will be speaking to because it s my department. The place of business, if you want to call it that, has the ABSOLUTE WORST customer service and business practices!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL THEY GET MINE OR MY ANYONE IN MY FAMILYS MONEY! I do have a picture of the battery showing the warranty information and the paperwork from the initial installation. The first battery only lasted from 2014 when the car was made until December 2016. The second battery only lasted from December 2016 until October 2019.UPDATE. The general manager would not return my calls on Wednesday or Thursday and was conveniently unavailable Friday morning. So on Friday I finally had no choice but to let my mom pay almost $85 for the battery due to the fact they were not going to honor the warranty the battery promised. However, once I called to speak with the service director I was informed that due to my initial post and negative review on Google they wouldn t be able to help me. They would only honor that offer if the post was removed.I did remove the negative review originally, but I feel it is unfair that they feel they can pretty much blackmail me into removing my personal experience with their dealership when the issue was not resolved to my satisfaction.Based on how long these batteries from the dealership are lasting I highly doubt this one will last long either.

I was treated with such respect today at this dealership. I spoke with them by phone earlier in the week and was so impressed that I drove from Morehead,Ky. It was well worth the drive. They got me financed in a nearly new vehicle with the most Amazing price & payment. The owner & salesman were so nice. I would recommend that everyone check this dealership out before making a deal anywhere else. You will be very pleased with this dealership.

Really great experience. Pete and Jeremy were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the vehicles and buying process. They are very willing to work with you, even with less than perfect credit. Pete even met us an hour away from the dealership to help us finish paperwork.

My credit wasn't exactly the best and that had caused some difficulty in getting a car previously at other other dealerships. Reached out to River City and got a response super fast! Their sales rep Homer helped me get a great truck (much better than I hoped for) with zero down, same day! After struggling with my credit score and being turned town at other dealerships I never imagined I'd be able to walk out with such a great truck. So thankful to the great reps at River City! Will recommend to my friends.

Sold me a truck that is dangerous, said mechanics went over evidently when truck is badly out of alignment so much it squalls going around turns, only had 2 months refuses to help with the issues will take action with attorney general's office next Tuesday. My mechanic can prove how long problems have been in the front end of this truck proving their mechanics did not inspect vehicle for dangerous issues , all they had to do was work with the customer, and take responsibility for their actions, looking into suing

Homer was wonderful to work with. We had been to several car lots before and none of them worked with us as much as River City. We will definitely buy our next vehicle from here also.

Failed my inspection due to low tire tread (which are fine) and a slightly dirty air filter. Went to a local small business and had no problems. Was also at ford for over an hour.

This is a fantastic dealership to purchase from. My family has been purchasing vehicles here since 1990. In all of this time, I can say we have never had one bad experience and cannot imagine purchasing a vehicle from another dealership. After this much time, you get to really know the employees and this is a very family oriented dealership. They treat their customers like family. So many dealerships in this area have been purchased and re-sold time and time again however River City Ford has remained under the same ownership since before my family began purchasing here. That should speak volumes to anybody considering purchasing a vehicle.
