I was in Huntington visiting my brother and sister when I experienced a problem with my transmission. My brother knows Terry and suggested that I take my truck to him as he knew that he was very knowledgeable in making repairs. I was hesitant because I had recently had my transmission rebuilt in Hampton, Virginia from a quality transmission repair shop and knew the expense of a rebuild. Terry, knowing that I was from out of town, took my truck in very quickly and made all of the needed repairs. I picked up my truck and drove it the 450 miles back home and it ran like a new truck again. Not only did he make the repairs, he showed me where the problem originated, the extent of the problem and made certain that I was satisfied with the repair that he had done. If it weren't for the distance from my home in Virginia, he would get any and all of my transmission work. I really appreciated his abilities and his dedication to get the job done quickly and reasonably. I highly recommend him and his shop! You will leave with a quality job and the confidence knowing that the job was done correctly. Thanks Terry!

Somewhat pricey, but very well worth it.I had the transmission go out at 97,000 miles in my car. I was recommended this place by an auto repair shop that did not do transmissions.The quality of the work is impeccable. They even took the time to show me the parts from before they overhauled it, and what caused my transmission to slip out of gear. This shop is truthful, up front, and exact with all their parts and labor.However, their only forms of payment they accept are cash and cashier's check.

TL;DR I thought I had a transmission issue, but turns out I didn't. He kept it overnight(it arrived at close)then called, told me what was wrong, and referred me to correct place without charging me. He could easily have taken advantage of situation for personal gain, but chose honesty, making him a rare commodity in today's world of scammers and thieves.I had my vehicle which I believed to have a transmission problem there using Triple A. It got there at closing time and he looked it over quick and told me it was minor because everything seemed fine, but he would drive it the next day to see. He called me the next day and told me my transmission was fine and the problem was a cylinder 4 missfire and that I should take it somewhere that works on engines. I asked him how much, he said nothing. Now he could have done anything and said he fixed the transmission and put the screws to me, but he did not. Honesty in a mechanic is the single most important aspect you can find. If they cant fix it, they wont try then charge you a bunch, and if they can fix it, they will at a set price.God Bless their honesty.

Top notch transmission shop. Buy local and use local services. Recently rebuilt the transmission in my service van. That thing has never ran better. I was worried about the engine before the transmission quit but now I m sure it was the transmission causing the engine to work harder. Even fixed my exhaust leak I had at the collector. Great shop. Highly recommended.

Very professional, knowledgeable, straight-forward, and you know when you leave that your vehicle will be right. They will explain and show you what is wrong to help you understand what caused your initial issue. Highly recommend this establishment to anyone with a transmission issue.
