Needed keys made since I lock myself out of my home often. Had them made at AKL. The young man who waited on me was so fr it endly and professional. I will use them again in future and recommend them often too.

Love these guys! I locked myself out of my house like a buffoon, and Nick was there in 20 mins! My door gave him plenty of complications too because of the old locking mechanism, but Nick hung in there and eventually got it unlocked. He very easily could have thrown up his hands and said sorry bud but he didn t. I feel like Nick went the extra mile and provided an excellent customer experience. 10/10 would highly recommend to anybody in need of assistance!

This is a great business. Two of their employees went way above and beyond to help a neighbor get back into their home. It was far beyond customer service - it was community and compassion. You just don't find that very often these days. They are wonderful to deal with and have a very professional staff. They will help you to find solutions.Services: Building lockouts, Lock rekeying

Excellent knowledge and service. We have lots of offices scattered across 4 states, so when I get keys cut I can't risk them not working or not working very well. I've never once had a problem with a key or lock from Austins. Imagine, a business that still takes pride in their work!

My first time here was my last time. My key I ordered online, that I ordered with a part number from a dealership was cut wrong. Then I was told that s what happens when I order cheap things off the internet . Was offered to have another key ordered from them for $225. So they ruined my key, BUT Ace hardware saved the day, cut my keys correctly and bonus programmed my fob also, and told me I wasn t crazy, that my key was indeed cut wrong. I wish I could leave a good review, but hopefully someone else will read this and I can save them time and money. Go to Ace hard ware in Lavalette!

No complaints. I had them cut 2 car keys and they both worked. Best thing was, I was in and out in about 8 minutes. Speedy service too, can't beat that.

I purchased a brand new hundred and $50 key from a reputable company online and brought it to this business. The gentleman working here not only programmed it incorrectly but turned around and incorrectly cut it so that I couldn't even use it as a valet key. Then he smugly offered to sell me one of his keys. Buyer beware

Rating 2 stars because a key blank was only $3, so that s a plus. Overall though, the lady at the front counter was nice and chatty with the lady in line in front of me like they d known each other for years (maybe they did, no idea). When my turn came up- and I was the only other person in there, she was decidedly less than enthusiastic about my presence. Her responses were short, didn t seem to understand why I wanted a transponder key copied into a blank (only to open the doors, I know it won t start the truck), and when I asked if there was the possibility of getting a key with a plastic handle area so it somewhat matched the other keys, she replied in no uncertain terms it won t look anything like this one . Wow. Ok. That wasn t my question but I ll take what you re giving me because Home Depot (where I already was just before this) will not even cut a transponder key. I DIDNT WANT IT PROGRAMMED. I KNOW IT WONT START THE VEHICLE.By reading the reviews, this lady seems to be a recurring theme in many of them.

Needed a light key cut, small strange sized key. Walked in and the lady behind the desk took one look at it and said a number, seconds later I walked out with the key. The lady behind the counter didn t listen to anything that was said. Not receptive at all and had difficulty answering questions directly. Started chanting, singing and being rude because of her inability to listen and understand my actual issue. Didn t seem interested in getting my business, didn t seem fully there.

Compared to other nearby locksmiths, they cost significantly less to make a car key from scratch and made it the same day

Took 4 key blanks for a atv down there to be cut, the guy working behind the counter was super twitchey and figitey, and all of them are on meth, pills, and/or heroin! To mess up this bad you have to be! He cut them and brought them back with a cut that was no where near the keys to be cut and handed me back a house key with them. I said "what's this!", he said, " uh, your keys ". I said " where is my original, and why don't these look like it!" He said, "let me see," comes back with my original and says "oh, must have cut the wrong one". I said "this one is huge and meant for a house looks nothing like the blanks I gave you, didn't this tip you off???", he said " well I just won't charge you for the cutting. I said "are you going to pay me for my blanks you destroyed?" He said " well the owner will be back in a week you can talk to her" and continued to figit. Junkies just mess up you lock work, take it some where else!

Had a 93 Chevy door and ignition key cut in record time. Both work and the cost was minimal. These are the only people in town who will cut old car keys right.

Been trying to avoid paying ford's my key ransom for a week. Swung by Austin's key and they had me taken care of in no time for 1/4 of what Ford wanted....THANK YOU!

The lady that answers the phone is so rude I don't know how anyone would even want to spend money here. Plenty other places to go. For 20 more bucks I'd rather go to the dealer anyway! If I could leave zero stars I would!
