Loved the customer service from the gentleman running this place!Adore the location! It is beyond Gorgeous!I was traveling alone and unable to enjoy the trails as I did not have an ATV. Although, there is an on-site rental available that would have been nice if I had company to enjoy it and share the cost. The view can not be beat! The only downside for me can not be avoided and is part of the adventure... "The ride getting there!"That too would not have been so bad if I were not traveling alone and pulling a 35' camper.Be sure to pull up Google earth so that you can actually see the route before you plan and pull it!!Will add pictures!I will definitely visit again... but I'll be prepared for it this time!

View was gorgeous. Cabin was nice. Had great cell service (at&t).Our welcome was abysmal by staff. There was a miscommunication on the number of guests that arrived and the attitude we were given upon arrival was unprofessional, confrontational and unhelpful.

We called a week before visiting to make the reservation. We arrived to the campground late because we had car trouble on the way down. When we got to our site, someone was on it so we pulled on an empty site. At 9:15 the next morning, we went to check in and the office door was locked. Suppose to be open at 9 am. We knocked on the door, the guy came to the door. He not let us enter the office. He was irritated that we came in late the night before. He couldn t find our reservation, we showed him proof of the call and he acted like he didn t even want to deal with us. He made the comment that he wouldn t have let us come in last night if he knew we were going to be that late. We literally arrived a few minutes after 11 the night before. He made us sit outside in the heat to fill out all the paperwork and pay for our site. He constantly interrupted us and honestly made us feel like we were an inconvenience to him with us even being there. The next day, we had to buy 2 extra trail passes and he had an attitude about doing that. He put the paperwork on the counter and tossed the pen at our son. He is just rude. The guy we dealt with is the son of the owner. Apparently, the owner was out of town this weekend. The owner is always so nice. We have been visiting this campground for years and rent at least 2 side by sides everytime we are there. It amazes us that he would leave his son in charge with as rude as he is. We will definitely not be returning!

Thanks to the staff at Twin Hollow Campground. They made our stay effortless. The cabin was a great option in Gilbert to stay and ride the trails. Easy access to Hatfield McCoy trails and surrounding areas. The view from the top of the mountain is wonderful, it's a nice way to enjoy the WestVirginia morning smoky mountains.Nearby activities: Hatfield McCoy Trails close by. Beautiful views, well kept, and very nice gentleman runs the place. It is a crazy steep drive to top of the mountain campsite with sharp curves. We had a Palomino backpack on a diesel king cab and hauling a trailer with a sisde-by-side ranger on back. It was a bit nerve wrecking. But the view was well worth it. We had to separate the the camper and haul each down separate when we left, husband afraid brakes might not hold.

RV sites are real nice ample room to enjoy your camp. Clean and quiet, having people around things seam SAFE! Would be nice if they had a dog area to exercise your dogs with out a leash our dog is use to runing and playing on the farm Border collie energy but over all we like this camp the best its more our cup of tea Nearby activities: Trail 12 BBQ park and ride to trail on siteSafety: Always someone around watchingNoteworthy details: Steep hill to haul campers up to camp site but its do'able good cell service at camp

I had the pleasure to visit Twin Hollow campground 16-21 April 23. I stayed in the primitive tent area and let me tell you the views were remarkable!! The owners were extremely friendly and their son Junior was always willing to help if needed. Access to the Rock House trails is literally right there. I would recommend this location to anyone who is planning a HMT trip!!

We stayed 3 nights in one of the cabins and have zero complaints. The owner takes pride in his property and it shows. The cabin was very clean and had every amenity you would need. Beautiful views and close to the trail systems. Added bonus is having Trail 12 BBQ on site! Highly recommend!

Donna and Wayne were the greatest hosts. We had everything we needed and they were always available when we needed more towels, toilet paper etc. Trail 12 BBQ was outstanding and so convenient. The cabin was quiet as was the atmosphere. It was clean and had the most beautiful view right on top of the mountain. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. We will definitely be back next year.

Excellent RV park! Very clean and spacious. The owners are the nicest and were very helpful in every way. We had a 45 ft class A pulling a 27 ft trailer and had plenty of room in the park. The mile up and down the mountain was a little difficult but we managed just fine. We had family staying in one of the cabins as well and they were very nice and super clean. You can also drive right out of the RV park to the trails! We will definitely be back in the future!

The scenery is great, wonderful views and sort of quiet. The food was pricey but good. Pulled pork salad was nice sized. The nachos were huge and very shareable. It's right on the trail so if you're riding side by side or quads you can stop by for lunch. They also have tires for sale as well as some tshirts and hats.

Nice big rv spots with good views. Friendly staff in office. Direct access to trails so no trailering your sxs! Shower rooms could be improved, no wifi and poor cell service.Nearby activities: Close to Gilbert and Man for groceries, restaurants and shopping.

The campground was very neat and was very close and had access to the Hatfield and McCoy trails. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a beautiful campsite we stayed at with wonderful mountain views! It was wonderful waking up to fog covered valleys and beautiful sunrises and sunsets! It was easy access to the town of Gilbert. The Rates are very reasonable.

This campground was super nice, lil Wayne did a atv tour for us and it was awesome we had a breakdown made a call and had it taken care of. Food was good at Trail 12 BBQ. We were running late and they had it waiting for us when we got back. Thats great service. The Beer was ice cold. We will be back for sure, Thank you for all the hospitality.

Had a wonderful few days on the mountaintop. Great views, nice level sites, great restaurant within walking distance. We did have some power issues that we believe were caused by a pole that got hit down on the main road. Power was restored fairly quickly but we kept getting outage reports on our surge protector the rest of our stay. This didn't happen when we went to our next campground. Hopefully it will all get resolved soon. We will definitely come back to stay if we can get back to the area.

Stayed at PaPaws place, one of their larger units in town and not directly on their campground. Fit a group of 6 adults beautifully. Large stone parking pad easily held a large trailer and two full size vehicles. The house itself had 3 bedrooms, 2 twin beds in each room, and 2 full baths. A full size washer/drier, kitchen, and many comfortable chairs and sofas. The outside had a lovely covered patio with ample seating and a charcoal grill for cooking food. The property has Central Air which is really lovely after a warm day of riding. The only warning I give about property is the town and subsequent surrounding towns seems to be a dead zone for T-Mobile. All six of us adults are T-Mobile and our phones were cell signal dead most of the time on our trip. Thankfully PaPaws has free wi-fi which was a huge help and a lot of the local places also have wi-fi with the passwords hanging on the wall so you can use your phone.I highly recommend you give this place a try if you're visiting Gilbert for the trails. Rockhouse lives up to its name as it is rocky. We enjoyed the Devils Anse trails more and unfortunately did not get over to Buffalo. Trail12 BBQ is delicious. Its located on the Twin Hallows property. I'd suggest you give it a go. We also really enjoyed Keiths Place up in Man and the Justonian Restaurant right up the road. The local grocery store in Gilbert is a Pepsi only establishment, you cannot buy Coke products in there. There are vending machines around town which have coke and the Speedway has Coke products. Please also be kind and respect the rules. There is a trailhead right next to the bottom of the driveway for Twin Hallows and that will take you and your machines right up to the campground. You do not need to be on the driveway where there are large trucks and trailers/campers trying to go up and down the steep driveway. No one wants to get hurt. The trail next to the driveway is also a hell of a lot of fun so I dont know why you would want to miss it in the first place.
