I stay at Fairfield when I travel for work. The hotel is in a good location, right off an exit from I-79 and is close to a strip mall with restaurants, stores, and fuel. It's nothing fancy, but the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The staff is awesome; they've always been very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is pretty good too with both hot and cold foods.

I chose this hotel because of the pool and hot tub. I was looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub while my kids swam. It was disappointing to learn there was a light hanging out of the wall inside of the hot tub and there were several exposed wires. Guests were asked not to use the hot tub only after notifying staff of the issue they already knew about. It was not blocked off or drained which posed a hazard. If we would have known we couldn't fully access the pool area I would have stayed elsewhere. So much for a relaxing getaway.

Sydney at front desk made our check-in very smooth. Clean room, good breakfast, comfortable bed. The only issue i had was noisy occupants on next floor above, kept me awake several hours . Thank God they checked out the next day. I will stay here again, had a wonderful time visiting my granddaughter in college..area has nearby stores and restaurants very close..good experience first time here.

Good version of the Fairfield inn chain. It's a newe building with a good staff. The night manager who checked us in was friendly and a Taylor Swift fan.Only minus, was the conditioner dispenser in the shower was empty.Breakfast selection is varied enough: Eggs, sausage patty, oat meal, yogurts, waffle maker, muffins, bagels, breads, coffee , milk juices and enough toppings/ extras to satisfy most people.

I looked specifically for a Fairfield during this road trip because I've been impressed with them in the past. This one did not live up to standards. It has not been updated in a long.time. Dingy would be the best description for it. My room smelled like cigarette smoke, there was a large crack in the shower wall, and the carpet has seen better days. Other Fairfields also.had things at breakfast that were specifically for people with gluten and dairy allergies and this one did not. The elevator was also questionable and very slow. Will not stay here again.

Stayed here while visiting family. Pool area was clean and had plenty of towels. The beds were comfy and clean. Room temperature was average as we were really stuffy the next day. Filters probably need cleaned. Staff were friendly and courteous. Breakfast offered many selections for hot and cold items. Unfortunately no microwave in our room. Close to interstate and local restaurants. Would totally stay here again when we come up for holidays.

Mattress was uncomfortable, seems to be over due for a change.Walkability: Food is in walking distanceFood & drinks: Food and stores in walking distance

We stayed here for 6 nights. I selected this hotel for 3 reasons: location, price, and the fact it had a pool. We had a great stay. The room was good, as expected. The front desk staff we dealt with throughout the stay were all friendly and professional. Nobody gave us a hard time about asking for extra towels for our extended stay. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. I have a 3 year old and the stairs were great for him to play on in the pool, unlike some other locations we've been in. The lady in charge of breakfast, Diane, was so kind and sweet and the breakfast was perfect for us. We had an amazing stay! We will definitely be back if we are in the area again. Highly recommend. BONUS: if you're into thrifting there's a goodwill right across the street. :)

When we arrived we found out the pool was broken. The staff was nice enough to let us know and allowed us to cancel our second night. Once in the room our ac/heat did not work so we were stuck at whatever temperature the main hotel was at and with 5 guests in the suite it was hot. There was no house keeping due to the holiday . The pull out sofa bed was awful and not clean. They ran out of small trash bags for the trash cans in the rooms. The staff was very kind and apologetic. I couldn t have had better customer service but overall the stay was not worth my money.

NO HOT WATERThis place seems to be going down hill.New ownership perhaps?I don't know.Breakfast has become less and less quality.Use to serve individual milk so you knew what kind it was and what the date on it was.Now it's in a pump like the coffee.Have no idea if it is fresh or where it comes from, let alone what type it is.Fresh fruit use to be fresh cut fruit, now it's just bananas. No cream cheese for the bagels that they offer either.NO HOT WATER for showers. When I asked about it, front desk clerk just shrugged her shoulders and said they are trying to get a part for hot water tank.36 hours later.10pm. 2nd night.Still no hot water.Noteworthy details: Stay here for work every year.Plaza is great and remodeled.Shopping and Restaurants are so close.Too bad the hotel seems to be relying on this factor to relax their efforts of quality.

This grandma has been beyond measure blessed by God to have time with my wonderful son and his family in Fairmont. After much googling for the just right hotel wiith a suite having much needed mobility accessible bathroom, plus space for my grandkids to have room to visit me; Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott was definitely an answer to my prayers in extra special ways. From the first time I called with questions regarding the needed essentials, and spoke with the manager, Wendy, till now; each of my heart hopes for the ' just right' place have been full filled in every way that matters most. The suite's ample room, including microwave and refrigerator, internet tv ( this grandma has been blessed every night to listen to you tube gospel but they have all kinds of music and entertainment) .Their breakfast has an amazing variety of foods to choose from to fill the belly, whether scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, muffins, cereal, plus any breakfast beverage to start your day.But it hasn't been just my belly that gets filled at Fairfield Inn and Suites. My heart has been blessed by the genuinely warm hospitality, pleasant courtesy, and helpfulness of each staff member. And the exceptional kindness of manager, Wendy and assistant manager, Rose, when unexpected complications arose for me, plus, the genuine warmth of other individuals on staff will long be remembered .So very much more grateful than my words can express for each blessing of my stay in West Virginia, including the Fairfield Inn-Suite- comfortable, cozy , with very kind and caring staff.

The room was nice and the pool area was really nice for the family. The front desk person who checked us in and who we dealt with during our 3 day stay was less than acceptable. She was extremely grumpy and should not be customer facing. Other members of their team were nice and pleasant. We stay here 5-6 times a year and refer many of our family to this hotel. This is the first time in all the years of staying here that we have had a negative experience. I would also recommend that they do a better job with the morning breakfast. Better danishes and fruit. All the juices were out of service. Thanks.

The hotel itself was ok. For as many people as was there it was quiet. Rooms were cleanish except for the random hairs on the bathroom walls and ceiling. Breakfast left much to be desired the sausage Pattie s look like they turned bad weeks ago the waffle maker worked but waffles tasted terrible, coffee was usual nasty hotel coffee but for a one night stop it was ok

Easy on off highway, signs well makes. Big parking lot in a safe environment and a lot of other businesses and restaurants. Front desk workers were friendly and knowledgeable. They have and indoor pool, exercise room, and business area with computers. The room was kind of small but we'll laid out and smelled clean. Beds are covered with quality sheets, comforter, and pillows and are very comfortable,. Large screen TV with several movie channels. Bathroom is nice size, clean, and provides a good shower experience with good water pressure and volume. Over all modern, well kept building..

The hotel is dingy and dirty. The first room we were assigned smelled like cigarette smoke. When we called the front desk the clerk wouldn't give us another room without coming up to smell it herself.

The room was very stinky, had a strong buring smell coming from the fridge and microwave. Front desk guy removed the microwave, but the smell came back. Couldn't use fridge due to smell. Hotel was sold out of rooms with double beds so eventually had to be moved to king with a pullout couch (very uncomfortable) at 9pm at night with 2 kids and my elderly grandmother with no help. Manager wasn't any help at all when checking out. Pretty much said since I booked threw Hotels.com she couldn't do anything. Contacted Hotels.com they where very helpful, but the hotel only wanted to refund me $30.00 for all the trouble we had. Lady from Hotels.com said the manger would barley talk to her, got disconnected and wouldn't get back on the phone. So couldn't get the issue resolved. Still trying to get a full refund. Hotels.com has been very helpful in trying to resolve this issue. Would not recommend this property.

Nice clean place to stay! Sheets and towels were all clean and free of stains. We even pulled back the sheets to put down a potty pad for our son while he slept, and even the mattress looked clean. Bathroom could have been better wallpaper peeling a bit, and the soap dish in the shower had clearly been pulled off before and someone did a VERY sloppy job of attaching it back on the wall. Shower curtain liner also didn t seem to fit right - it kept creeping out of the shower and we were getting water on the floor. Still very clean though. (Can you tell that clean is clearly my biggest priority with a hotel??) Our only big issue was the toilet not flushing right but to be fair, we got in at midnight and left at 9am, so we didn t even bring it to the hotel s attention until it was time for us to check out. Continental breakfast was really good lots of options (scrambled eggs, toast, cereal, fruit, etc) and area was kept very clean. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for safe, clean, reasonably priced place to stop for a night.

Wow very impressive the entire staff was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were clean modern with USB ports with very good lighting. The breakfast staff was so kind always asking how each one of our days were and prompt to keep food full and clean eating areas. Close to downtown without being congested highly recommend this hotel if visiting!

this place needed a lot of up keep, things were rather run down when comparing to other Marriott hotels. the hallways had some rather disappointing smells and some parts just stinks of grease aka the elevator. The staff were great, they helped and did their best when they could. What ever they are paying isn't enough, they deserve a pay raise! Thanks kind sir behind the desk.

Hotel is beat up. There was no button to for the first floor on the elevator. If you stayed on the third floor and wanted to get to the irst floor, you had to stop on the second floor, call the front desk on a phone provided and the person at the front desk would then go push the button on the first floor as if someone needed the elevator to get to their room. Tub was slippery. no safety bars. Side doors to the hotel would not lock. Just yanked it hard and it would open. Dead bolt lock on my room was not functional - did not work. Stayed there 3 days. Called the front sesk on the second day requesting my room be cleaned and they did not do it. Front desk persons were nice but needed more training on communication skills. One yogurt I grabbed for breakfast was out dated and threw it away. Hotel is just surrounded at night with oil and gas pickup trucks and other oil and gas vehicles. I think they are very rough on this place. Bed was uncomfotable. Towels were not uniform. Drain on tub was rusting. Room lighting was poor. Water pressure was good but needs a new shower head. The place was just dirty and weird smell and outdated. Needs a complete remodel badly.

An enjoyable experience.Staff was friendly and the room was clean. If you re looking for a hotel that has a good pool, this one has it. It s in a separate part of the hotel and the size was large enough to actually use. Also, location is convenient to the interstate and other services.

There was no mention of road construction in front of the hotel on the website. This would have been nice to know, because my car was COVERED in mud and dust. Also, we learned upon check-in that housekeeping were only working every other day. We arrived on a Tuesday, and were supposed to receive housekeeping on Wednesday; however, that didn't happen. We had to seek out a housekeeper just to get fresh towels. When we returned to the hotel in the evening, we were expecting to have the room cleaned; however, it was not.The A/C unit in our room kept blowing some type of black substance onto the bed closest to the unit. I'm not sure what it was but I suspect mold, because every time I entered the room, I began sneezing and having a runny nose.Hotel staff were friendly, the beds were comfortable, and the room was clean upon arrival.
