I moved to WV from WA. I was expecting 2 different agencies for auto licensing and drivers licensing. Joy oh joy!!!!! ONLY 1!!! the 3 women who helped me were very nice! I enjoyed my experience!

I had a 9 am appointment. Everything went smoothly as silk. I was walking out the door by 9:20. You all did a great job. Thanks for not making it a wasted trip only to find out you all needed some other paperwork to renew my license.

Went to change over my tags as a new resident and lady at window #3 was extremely rude. I told her we came yesterday and was instructed what we would need to bring in today so they could have access to my title and she just continue to get very hateful with a lot of attitude. Very disappointed.

The old hag who was the driving instructor was needlessly extremely rude. I wish I would ve gotten her name. She failed me only because i didn t see the sign that said no practicing parallel parking during business hours. Which i had never seen before. She told me i failed to understand my equipment and failed me. I did everything correctly didn t even get a chance to drive. I hope they fire her.

Honestly today was there first day there wasn't an hour wait, the waiting room is open for public, no more standing outside in the weather. There are designated seats for appointments and walk ins. Overall was very happy with the service provided today.

Kinda disappointed. I had a written test scheduled for the 27th of July went and was told my info needed to be sent to Charleston. They should hear back within two days and will get incontact with me. I am still waiting two weeks later. Ive emailed and called to no avail. You cannot get through to a live person

It wasn't as bad as it used to be. I liked the limited amount of customers so that we were in and out quickly. Staff was helpful and less stressed than in the past.

Blonde woman that is an instructor for the skills test is VERY rude! She thinks she's hot stuff but she isn't. She is rude to everyone around her and every experience I've had with her has been awful. Stay away from this woman at all costs. She is a deeply unkind person.

Not too happy. I have been given wrong information from the beginning. This last visit I was informed that there was an additional form that is required. So now after obtaining the additional required information, I now have another appointment scheduled. I'm hoping that this will be the final visit. Thanks!

I was very happy with their service I got in and out the only thing is if you don't have all your paperwork and don't even bother going.

I Did not have an appointment but was able to get in. Was there a total of 30 minutes or less. Very fast and efficient staff. Great experience.

Actually it was very quick getting service, I took a knowledge test and was in and out quickly and everyone was friendly. Only bad was getting an appointment which was over a month but you can expect it with the covid19 in full swing still.

This was the 3rd time I had been to the dmv office in elkins and it was just as fast and enjoyable as the first 2 times. Carla was amazing and quick! They make the license renewal as simple. thank you very much

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Went and took my drivers exam and the guy failed me for absolutely no reason. Not only that but his instructions were very unclear. I failed the parallel parking portion of the test and he told me I was within 18 inches but I had bumped the cone. thought it was BS. I wasn t even close to the cone nor did I feel my car touch it. He didn t even give me another chance.

Agree. No long waits if you go before 10. Very helpful. Got what I came for and was done within 30 minutes.

There with family members, state computer system crashed. Not a great feeling after waiting in line to get to the window. On second trip they were helpful.

They are very disrespectful to the public and they do not share with the public there times to do anything for example I was down there inquiring about getting my truck inspected to get the title changed from a salvage title to a r title and they got smart with me and by the time I left I was under the impression that I could get it inspected anytime and then two days later I haul my truck down to have it inspected and they tell me they won't inspect just the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month I thought you people worked for the state of wv not the state of wv worked for you unlike you people we do have manners and respect thank you!!

Frequently there for title work. Never had any issues. Most of the time fast service.

I moved from Maryland where you have to wait several hours for your turn to get waited on. Visiting the Elkins DMV when I walked in there were only 3 other people sitting. After receiving my number it was called within several minutes! In my 46 years of driving I thought I would never visit a DMV that was as quick and efficient as the state of West Virginia runs theirs. It is a true pleasure knowing my state taxes are being spent by a government that truly respects its tax paying citizens.

Drove from Buckhannon to renew my drivers license after checking on line to see what the hours were at the DMV I planned to get there by 4:00, since the hours were stated as being open from 8:00-5:00. I also tried to find out by calling ahead, if I had to have an appointment. Well, it was all automated and there were no options to choose from about renewing your license. There was an accident by the Visitors Center that held me up about 15 minutes. It was approximately 4:11 PM when I finally got to the DMV. The doors were already locked even though I could see employees and a customer still inside. There was a sign on the door stating something about walk-in's and doors locked at 4:00 PM. Why is this not posted on their web site ?!! Luckily, I had other things to do while in Elkins so, my trip wasn't a total loss. Now will have to schedule another trip by making an appointment. Hope this helps someone else that may be planning a trip to renew their license at the DMV in Elkins.

Well after whole debaucle of not getting a tag for a new vehicle for over 3 months ive been told that they ship tags 3rd class. Which everyone knows is slow. So maybe they should recieve late payments perhaps. They like their money on time id like my plate on time.

They are doing well taking precautions for covid. People wait in there cars till name is call. Or make an appointment. All the staff were very nice.

Wonderfully helpful and completely resolved my needs in getting a new ID. Even in spite if covid they were extremely efficient and I never once felt I had been exposed to any type of harmful environment

I have been having some problems with some titles that I had some liens on. I took all my paperwork to the DMV and they spent all the time that I needed and helped me solve the problem. A big shout out to everyone that helped me. Thanks for everything.

I wish I could zero stars. The blonde instructor has a superiority complex and will fail a perfectly capable driver before they turn the car on. When you re 18 and need your license to get a job and go to school then her attitude can ruin your whole day. Will drive far away before I ever go to Elkins DMV.
