Our past experiences with Dutch Miller were generally good but our most recent experience with the service department was disappointing. After routine maintenance we were told that our front brakes were very close to needing to be replaced. The quote they gave us for front pads and rotors was over $600! I took our Crosstrek somewhere else and they did them for $275. They also showed me the old pads and they had half the pad left. I went ahead and had them changed since they had started but I don't think I will go back to Dutch Miller again.

Arrived disappointed with a situation but was almost immediately helped out. They made the first car buying experience easier. They were so helpful and took their time to explain everything to us. We couldn t have asked for a better first car buying experience.

***Update at the bottom after dealer reached out****Absolutely do not use them for any of your vehicle services, they have changed since 2018 when I purchased my first Subaru from this dealership.Here is my anecdotal experience so you can make your own decision:The vehicle was brought in for end of winter season maintenance and yearly state inspection. I asked for a state inspection, multipoint inspection, brake line flush and oil change. The state inspection was (to my knowledge) immediately performed and I was notified about the brake pads and rotors being shot (lip and rust accumulation on rotors with reports of pads being worn to 1-2mm) the rotors indeed needed replacing upon viewing of pictures. No pictures of pads were provided aside from requested pictures of rotors due to recent change. I was presented with the only option to replace all equipment at the price tag of $1700 after expecting to pay $500-600 for the work requested. I was not capable of making that purchase on the day of and had to deny the work. Due to the order that the work was done in my car was then illegal to drive and have had personal hardships waiting on funds. I incurred an issue were I needed to remove my tires and after attempting to release the drivers back tire lug nuts I could not, this took over 2 hours of attempts until I was able to rent a torque wrench. This wrench was maxed out at 146 ft-lbs before the lug nut would budge at which point it sheered out the hub bolt. This cannot be to spec for a 2018 Crosstrek Premium as the owners manual mentions 89 ft-lbs. So this means that the bold that was off at the dealership was indeed on correctly prior to service and after service was adulterated. I am now without a car as I cannot put a wheel on due to having 4 bolts instead of 5 and now need to replace a hub.This experience was extremely unprofessional when handing someone the news of 1) a massive increase in work to be done on the car and 2) how the service-certified professional returned my vehicle to me after service. I understand that it is a failed inspection but that does not mean my car should suffer further issues because I need to plan this extra work now. I would expect more from an upscale service center instead of shady practices that can be seen from other lesser service centers.I hope that this saves some folks from using this service center as they can very easily do the same shady things any old service center will do to get you to buy or upgrade your car/bill. The people may be nice but what they do speaks louder than words.Update 3/5/24: Chad did follow through on his post to remedy the situation as well as replaced a broken sensor. Loaner car was provided and the turn around time to review the work done took 5 business days.

Do not use this dealer for car repair. I was charged $1375 for a driver side window motor and window door switch to be replaced in my 2017 Subaru outback. The parts were 700 dollars, the labor 600 and diagnosis was 75 dollars. The initial estimate was 700 dollars to repair the issue after they diagnosed the motor to be bad. Funny thing they replaced the motor and brought the car back to the service area and then told me they only get the window to work partially and to get the window to work correctly they would need to replace the switch. So they took the car back and replaced the switch. Then the window worked fine. At the time I did not realize the switch and the motor come together as package when you buy the motor. After calling Subaru dealers they confirmed the switch and the motor replacement are in the same package. And the cost for the whole job including parts and labor was around 700 dollars with tax. I truly believe the car was misdiagnosed in the first place and the switch seems to have been the real issue. Either way I paid twice the amount originally quoted.. my bad for trusting people to treat you fair. I will use a different dealer to perform my repairs in the future.Too bad you can't give a negative star.

I talked to someone about a car about 12PM and made a reservation to see a vehicle the next day at 10AM. We make it to the dealership after an hour drive to be told the car was sold the previous day. They couldn t even bother to give me a courtesy call to let me know it was sold, nor did the guy that greeted us care at all and just wanted to sell me something else.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I have been talking with Bruce the internet guy. We had something worked out and I was coming up to see the car.I was told to ask for Bruce. But instead they sent me a young salesman. Said he had talked to Bruce and knew what I wanted. He neglected to tell the salesman about our whole conversation apparently. He asked if he could help me. I pointed to the car I came up to see. But also apparently they sold the car before I even made it up there! Liars! Liars,Liars. I will never do business with Dutch Miller!Response to Dutch MillerYou are kidding me right? This was your second chance. You are setting a car out for me to look at and turn around and sell it out from under me! That is dirty business! I told Bruce to forget my phone number and I mean it!

We have just purchased a Subaru Ascent from Dutch Miller Subaru and were 1st time customers. Our experience with these guys was great. We could actually look and drive the car with no pressure. Everyone was awesome and they gave us a really fair deal. After the sale they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and to see if we needed anything at all which was very cool. Garrett was our salesman and has followed up several times. It was an all around great buying experience and will buy our next car from them as well. Thanks to the whole team there!!! 5 stars!

This was a very quick and easy sale. I took advantage of their Upgrade program, trading my 2020 Forester. A Forester with the color and interior that we wanted was on its way. Had a decent experience with the sales guy but the young arrogant fiance (I think) guy killed the deal with his ego and talking about things he knew nothing about in a demeaning manner. I think he thought because I was a woman I wouldn't know my stuff, but he was sorely mistaken and very uninformed. Bought a new car elsewhere because of that experience.

Had a vibration. no appts available for 2 weeks but they were willing to squeeze me in for diagnosis. Tech Diagnosed as after market roof rack problem. I wasn't happy with this answer and was highly skeptical as this rack had more than twice the miles on it as the car it is currently attached to. tech was 100% correct. turned out to be an easy angle adjustment. Bolstered my faith in Subaru service. Thanks Dutch Miller Subaru!

I had a great experience with Dutch Miller Subaru. I was getting information about Subaru Gold Plus warranties and reached out to Dutch Miller for info and a quote.Within 15 minutes of sending an email I had a reply from the finance manager Nick. To put it bluntly Nick quoted a price that blew away the competitors. With a few emails exchanged and brief phone call I had purchased the Gold Plus warranty for my Outback.The process was quick, easy and painless. Nick took time to answer my questions and made it easy for me to purchase the warranty from my home in North Central WV over the phone and with some signed forms sent over email.I can t speak to the other elements of this dealership but my experience with Nick was great. I would assume that same experience would carry over to the other parts of this dealership too.

Excellent customer service. The service department was extremely friendly and helpful. The gentleman that waited on me personally escorted me to the waiting area since he could visibly tell that I was disabled. The work was completed sooner than promised. Once the work was completed he backed my car close to the door so I would not have far to walk. I would definitely recommend Dutch Miller Subaru.

This is a great dealership just like the rest of the Dutch Miller locations. Devin my salesman was great and made the process very easy. The sales manager and finance manager were amazing as well. I came in with my own financing, but they still offered to match or beat the APR. They gave me the best possible price considering the market. Times are tough in the vehicle market right now and they are doing their best to accommodate that while still running a business.

I went to purchase a new car and the salesman was friendly and answered all my questions. However, they only offered me 4,000 for my trade in with no discounts on the new vehicle. I just purchased a new Subaru at another Subaru dealership who offered me $9,000 for my trade in and had a $2,800 discount. I have nothing bad to say about Dutch Miller Subaru but I do want to let others know that there are always other avenues if you're willing to be patient.

Had a great time working with Nick Colegrove on an extended warranty for my new Outback. Dutch Miller sold me a warranty for a very fair price and the entire transaction took 10 minutes to close out with no fuss at all.
