Stayed overnight in the truck parking lot and in the morning had some amazing biscuits and gravy and the coffee was really good. People were so friendly, even the locals who were there enjoying their own meal. Wish we had more time to stay and eat.

Southern Bell is my FAVORITE COMFORT FOOD SPOT.Come any day and get quality comfort food . Consistently prepared the same every time and hot. The menu is short n sweet. Just enough veggies to choose from. Fresh steak to die for. French fries are Mash potatoes. Homemade delicious Mac n cheese, i do believe its baked most days.Fried chicken to meatloaf Burgers etc. Everyday there's Chili, Vegetable soup , Chicken noodle. My fav is Vegetable soup I can request a Roll which they are yummy and are crackers.BLT oh my God yummy..My lunch is normally Baked mac n cheese n cup of vegetable soup I eat light.Homemade Unsweetened TEA and REFILL FREE!Just add sugar r splenda. I ask for mine in a togo foam cup this way i get my refill to go Shuuuu !!!! Also its that crunchy hospital ice we call it lol just makes drinks taste better.If your a vegetarian i think they have enough sides to choose from cold n hot.Downside : sorry i have to tell the truth lol they don't have Fountain SODAS sorry. If your like me you got to have a a fountain coke cola. And im a coke drinker. They have pepsi bottled drinks. Now this thru can improve on.Now you may ask is it is cosy comfortable seating YES !Yes they have plenty of booth seating as well as chairs. Some of the booth are in need of repair lol but not that bad. The Atmosphere is that of an old Truck stop family style n single. But with that said it's older seating. Not a high class but Family atmosphere is comfortable .Everyone sitting is talking enjoying the food n friends etc.I think anyone would love this place. It does grow on you. I been coming here almost 6. Years. And every time you can see the same Locals alongside the passer bys. The prices are fair.Yesterday my friend picked me up and she said we got to go to get out favorite CHIPPED BEEF GRAVY over toast with homemade fried potatoes w/onion . Onion is optional.Normally theres one dedicated cook plus one who cleans the tables and one r two to take your order on busy days.They do get PACKED from the Locals and Day trippers at Lunch and Weekend so be prepared for a wait. Not always but most times they are packed its a wait . You get fresh made to order food so please be patient. My only argument is they close at 230 pm. So breakfest n lunch is it .They do have extended sesting in the bac maybe for parties are overflow. They sells Wreaths for different Holidays now they have Christmas wreaths on the wall noy sure the price.Yes they take cash, debit cards.You are allowed to bring your Doggie r kitty in but must be licensed to be a Emotional support are service pet.This is non smoking resturantThry have a spot outside to smoke.The waitresses there are old school they even remember what i normally order.I hope i covered everything. Maybe i went over board because this is MY favorite spot.So to recap : its old world charm Sit down are take out Resturant. You may wait during busy times but most the time not. Its Made to order most items so please expect some wait.Yes Booths n chairs. They can set up to 20 people a group of sitdown i have seen it. Are tables with booths are chair.Handicap accessible plenty of free parking. You can walk your dogs on the side of the Restuarant. I believe this is considered a TRUCK STOP Restaurant . Plenty of parking for trucks. Just off of route 522 so easy off the road for cars are trucks.And they sell gas too!Hope i covered everything as this is my favorite place Im giving it 5 Comfort Restaurant stars. P.S. some may call this a Dive a Joint lol I call it home town old school charm Family style Restuarant . I think most will be pleased if u want decent affordable comfort food.And nope i don't get paid to say this they have no clue im posting . But this is my favorite and I wanted you all to know.And yes tipping is allowed and they appreciate. So if your just stoppibg by on your way thru the state are a Local I think you will be pleasently surprised. Enjoy!Vegetarian options: Has some vegetable sides warm n cold enough to enjoy but not a vegetarian placeParking: Plenty of parking for Cars and trucks 18 wheelersKid-friendliness: Waitresses are great with family and childrenWheelchair accessibility: Handicap accessible. My friends husband was in a wheelchair and he always sat at the side of the table are end of the booth.

Decent food, nothing really tasted homemade. Server was very nice. Prices are reasonable.

Definitely an experience. Don't let the decor put you off. If you are looking for a home cooked meal at a value price this is your place! The staff was warm and friendly and the food was out of this world. Sausage gravy had huge chunks of sausage, friend potatoes were crispy and delicious, and I haven't had an onion ring that great in some time.

Visiting the area & we stopped here for a takeout lunch. I got hamburger steak w/gravy, mashed potatoes, pinto beans & two warm soft rolls. Delicious & huge portions! Have enough for dinner. My friend got a cheeseburger & fries and said they were really good.

Quaint, home style, local eatery that makes a substantial breakfast and does it well. Fresh ingredients with a traditional menu that caters to mostly the locals and like us, visitors who enjoy a down home feel. Oh and the coffee is better than most every chain restaurant.

Only stop if you got time to burn! Food was pretty good, I took a nap waiting for it though. Seriously 45 minutes to get and egg and sausage. I mean I know WV is slower, but damn!

This truck stop is a must. The best pancakes you'll ever have. Country ham is a must too! The staff is super friendly and treat you like family.Parking: Lots of parking

Our waitress was very quick & courteous i loved her smile & adorable green braided hair She kept up with our drinks continuously! It was very busy so she worked very methodically with all of the customers Our food was perfectly prepared for all 6 of us!! Kudos to the cook!! Everything was hot & yummy

First ( and LAST)time stopping. 45 minute wait for our order and food came out cold!! Lost over an hour in our travel time for weak coffee and left hungry! Servers were pleasant but slow and confused. People after us were eating while we continued to wait. Food looked good but cant say that it was.

If you are a foodie looking for a holy grail of down home cooking, this is not the place. It's a Cafe where boxed mashed potatoes are served. The food was typical of school cafeteria cuisine. The service was excellent. I liked the homey old fashioned interior. I wanted to like it, but it's not good eats.

Nice hometown country bumkin atmosphere. Good breakfast I tell yeah what *spits into pocket* I have been told there are some problems with sanitation but I have never had a problem nor have I ever gotten sick and I've eaten here many times. And I think it's one if the best places to get a nice sit down proper breakfast in Berkeley springs. I've taken friends here before that have never eaten there and they loved it. One of the best places for breakfast in Berkeley springs by far.

Omgosh, I can't say enough good things about the Southern Belle. The hospitality from the staff is incredible. They honestly make you feel like you're an old friend. The home cooking is out of this world and they make it anyway you want it. The regular customers will sit there and talk to you like you're a friend. Read the stuff on the walls and menu cover. It was a dream come true for a military hero and his wife. It's an actual family run business. I can't wait to go back for breakfast and I'll be back every time I have a job in the area.

You need lots of time to eat here. Never again, ordered soup and sandwiches. Waited 45 minutes. Soup was not even served I. That time. Would give 0 stars if possible. Don't waste your time here. Even asked If we could get our soup served while we waited for the sandwiches and fries.. still did not bring it to us. Despicable service.. And restrooms were kept locked. Ille!a!

My family loves this place. The food is always great and the staff is very welcoming and make you feel at home. If you are ever driving by make sure to stop in and get a bite to eat.
